I met up with Jacqueline B for lunch here recently. Being a Friday, I quickly made two excellent decisions 1 - I indulged in breakfast at 12:30 because why not? and 2 - we both chose to enjoy mimosas with our meals! They have a whole menu of mimosas and I believe I had something along the lines of mango pomegranate. It was SO tasty and believe me you it was quite a large glass not a dainty little thing. I loved my choice. My food...was alright. I didn't particularly love the tri-colored benedict I ordered. Why, you may ask? Well, despite it's name, everything on my plate was so...beige. Really. Check out the pic attached. I'm not even making up the name TRI-COLORED BENEDICT. Once I did a little digging I did find two teeny shriveled up (oven roasted) tomato pieces between the english muffin and poached eggs but the dish left a lot to be desired. That said, I've been here a few times before and have ordered other breakfast menu items I've loved, including the Wisconsin Farmhouse Omelet. My friend and I went to Nosh for a nice brunch. This restaurant was connected to a salon which was a little surprising. However, the inside of the restaurant looked very nice and modern. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our waiter was exceedingly friendly offering top notch service. I wish I could remember his name! When we sat down, we ordered coffee which was delicious. It had a great full body of flavor with enough creamer and sugar for both of us. I ordered the Nosh French Toast with a side of sausage. It was sublime! It tasted very good! I loved the lemon anglaise in place of syrup. It added a light brightness to the dish. The fruit was tart and it was overall a well put together meal that wasn't too much. I was easily able to finish the entire thing. I would highly recommend getting the full unless you are having it as a side dish. I was able to get the full and it was the perfect amount where I didn't feel too full or left feeling hungry. My friend ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo. I personally couldn't try any because I wasn't sure about the spice level of the chorizo; however, she said it was very good and finished her plate. Our waiter was also very approving of our choices in meals stating that the chilaquiles was his favorite dish; however the Nosh french toast was his favorite sweet dessert. Tried lunch here today. Had a cup of the hearty tuscan soup, the jumbo shrimp and avocado salad and the patty melt with seasoned fries (the best part!). The salad was simple and fresh. The patty melt tasted good, but could have used a sauce. Everything was satisfying, but not necessarily memorable. I have been to NOSH a few times at their old location-- they informed me that they moved about 2 years ago. I was in complete shock by how much room this new location has! Even though my friend and I came on a quiet Wednesday morning, it was still bustling. I have never had a "bad" experience at Nosh. Their coffee is now by Sparrow Coffee (which is one of my favorites!). The food here is to die for. Each time I have came I have tasted different menu items (this time around it was the Bagel and Lox--- so so soooo tasty!) The service here makes me smile. Food: 8.5/10 Food was brought out in a timely manner - less than 12 minutes. Delicious, I got the southern blueberry pancakes, applewood smoked bacon, 2 scrambled eggs, and a side of potatoes. Pancakes were enormous, and a tad dry. The plate they were served on was way too small for the size they were. It should be noted I got the "full" size. The lemon blueberry sauce was nicely made, good tartness and sweetness to balance. Potatoes were not bad. I prefer mine a bit more crispy but they were delicious nonetheless. Nicely seasoned with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Eggs were moist, nicely cooked. No seasonings, but that's perfectly fine that's how I make them at home. Applewood smoked bacon was good. Service: 10/10 Nice server. Didn't bother me at all. I like to have my personal time when at a restaurant and she picked up on that. Nicely done. Only actual complaint was that I sat at the bar near the door. It was cold but that was my choice to sit where I sat. This is exactly what is needed in every downtown area. A fun, yummy brunch spot! Excellent breakfast choices. Excellent lunch choices. Every person can find something they enjoy here, which is always helpful when dining out! I went with my husband and he had steak and eggs, and I had a chicken caesar wrap with truffle fries. We split a half order of pancakes. We had both breakfast and lunch covered. They both were fantastic. Service was attentive. We will absolutely be back. The place: Inside is a good mix between industrial and rustic. The tables are wood with black metal hardware. The chairs are black. There's also a tall, long table in the center of the main dining area which has power outlets under it? I was kinda weirded out by them, but I'm sure someone would find them helpful. The location: On the fringes of the downtown cute area of Geneva, there's much in the way of angle parking nearby (3 hour parking except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). The food: To start, I got a biscuit beignet. I'd never had one, but it was basically a lump of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar. It was hot and light. Served with honey and jam, my preference was the jam because it had a little bite to it. Great to balance the sweetness. Main dish was a garden breakfast bowl (cool that you can choose to make them an omlette OR a breakfast bowl). Yummy fresh vegetables, melted cheese, potatoes, and eggs cooked to order, delicious. A perfect portion for a hearty breakfast/brunch. The service: Our server had a rough morning, but she didn't let that impact her service or her attitude. She was super sweet and laughed at our jokes. We got the Greek wrap with chicken, really good wrap (I loved the humus on the sandwich). Christina W got the pears for a side and I got their Jicama slaw. Every time we visit this place the service is always great. The food is great, too! I have tried a few items on the menu and have been impressed by them all. I strongly recommend the corned beef hash (only on weekends). It's sold out if you arrive too late (it's that good!). I've been wanting to try Nosh for a while now. I assumed it would be for brunch, but when Olivia B and I planned to meet for lunch in the area I thought -- hey, nows a good a time as any! The restaurant was busy at 12:30 pm on a Friday, but we were still able to get a table right away. Our waitress was nice, checked in on us often, and asked before clearing our plates. Per usual, I had a bit of a tug of war between all the breakfast and lunch options. I mean really, how do you choose? I decided since I actually ate a decent breakfast that day, I would opt for the lunch side of the menu. I've been on a salad kick lately, so I went with the grilled steak salad. This leafy lunch includes grilled flat iron steak, mixed greens, tomato, red onion, and crumbled blue cheese with sweet mustard vinaigrette. Once I heard Olivia was adding avocado to her meal, I couldn't help but agree that it would be a great addition to my salad. Highly suggest doing this! The salad was tasty regardless, but the avocado paired nicely (like it usually does with most everything). Being a Friday, we decided to indulge in a mimosa at lunch. I love that they have a fun mimosa list of flavors and other cocktails. Always nice to have options! That being said, I was feeling OJ so I stuck with a classic mimosa. And let me tell you, these bubbly cocktails aren't messing around! Forget the dainty little flute you're used to, this pint-like glass is full to the brim and not shy with the champs either! Finally made it back to gray, overcast Illinois over the Thanksgiving weekend this year. Yippie. (Can you hear my apathy?) Glad I didn't chuck my Northface on Ebay when I moved to Orange County. My hood was up the entire time my sisters insisted we stroll downtown Geneva in the nasty, misty 38 degree weather. (I'm never moving back. EVER.) After losing a battle royale with my sister-in-law about where to take the girls to lunch (I pushed Bien Trucha HEAVILY) she won the fight and we ended up at Nosh. I was meh, but also hopeful because the Yelp reviews were favorable. Nosh is a cute space, kind-of reminded me of Eat Chow in Costa Mesa. The service was efficient. Food was solid...I ordered the lobster bisque with a side of seasoned fries. I tried my sister-in-laws's migas de pan caliente and kicked my own *** for not listening to the local order. AMAZING. My neice's jalepeno cream soup was yummy as well as my mom's French toast. (I should make myself a shirt that says "I'm Yelp Elite, which translates to I'm asking for a bite of your plate") They offer quite a few tempting variations on eggs benedict, I just knew I was booked for an early dinner and didn't want to overindulge. But here, Maryum S. and I truly noshed in silence as soon as our plates were set down. The food was too good to put down! The menu was fun and creative. My husband loves eggs benedict so I am overly excited to bring him here to choose from Nosh's 5 different varieties! I'm not a eggs benedict girl but I could not resist ordering their monte cristo benedict ($9.99). Two slices of English muffins generously topped with thinly sliced smoke ham, melted gruyere cheese, creamy poached eggs and a slightly sweet port-grape hollandaise. Well executed balance of salty smoky flavor from the ham and sublte sweetness from the thin layer of hollandaise sauce. I had the choice of herb roasted potatoes or pear sliced tossed in gingery-honey syrup for a side. I was being indecisive as usual so the girl offered to bring me half an order of each! What a great problem solver! Their potatoes are out of this world. Just the right touch of seasoning and butter. I literally said, "MMmmm," after putting the first wedge in my mouth. They serve Forte tea...both as a beverage to accompany your meal and as a retail product to bring home! The Bombay Chai ($2.75) was just what my sore throat needed! Next time, peach mango is on my list! I desperately wanted to try one of their many amazing sweet plates (Bananas Foster Pancakes, Hot Chocolate French Toast, just to name a couple). Alas, my friend had a craving for crepes, so next time I'll definitely order a "tasting" portion (so awesome that they offer it!) Service was friendly and efficient (surprising since there were only two servers working the whole place!) Nosh has some pretty interesting dishes, and I love the concentration on innovative offerings. The availability of tasting portions make this restaurant a foodie win. However, some things about this place (based on my two visits) have left me less-than-wowed. First and foremost, it's INCREDIBLY LOUD. To the point of being unpleasant. There is no music to break up the clatter either, so 30 different conversations are competing to be heard. The second problem has been service. I will concentrate on our visit today, but things were pretty much the same on our previous visit as well, although that was a weekend breakfast and today is Monday lunch. There is a plethora of staff, but they all seem to be rushing around, despite the small size of the restaurant. We were seated but not given menus, given three glasses of water instead of five, all of which were less than completely filled because the guy filling them was in too much of a hurry to pour enough water. Our waitress was nice enough, but she was not the one to bring our food. The person who did bring our food just sat each plate down in any old place, despite our indication of where each belonged. They were also very slow to pick up our payment by the time we were ready to leave. None of these issues is a deal-breaker though, especially with some of their tasty food offerings... I had small portions of the savory French toast and the Nosh French toast. Both were delicious! I have an abundant appetite, so I probably could have eaten full portions of each. Also, try the bacon. Mmm. For all of this yumminess, I will surely be back. But maybe I'll bring some ear plugs or try to sit outside, to make the experience more enjoyable for an introvert like myself. read more

Nosh, nosh, nosh...yup. that is exactly what we did this morning. Started our meal with a very delicous bloody Mary which by the way, is not a homemade concoction, but instead the lovely Zing Zang brand which I am a big fan of. Our waitress, a blonde older lady was super friendly, upbeat and nice. She was just as excited as we were to eat and immediately suggested that we ought to get the polenta tasting to start (see picture!) it was SO tasty! Two pieces of deliciously crispy-on-the-outside and gently mushy on the inside, pieces of polenta. Topped with a goat cheese spread and pears drizzled in honey! GOOD MORNING TO ME! It was yummy! Next - all of us had different ideas of what we wanted, but at the same time, could not decide what we wanted so our waitress chimed in and said, "can I give you guys a surprise???" I love food suprises, especially on days like today where I couldn't decide between sweet or savory! It was perfect - one by one we received these amazing dishes all presented in a fan-ta-bu-lous fashion. Two kinds of eggs benedict - one lox, the other steak. Breakfast burrito (which was awesome - our waitress said this was her favorite) and the chiquiles..mm..mm...mmm... I am heartbroken to give Nosh only 2 stars! I truly had high hopes for this place based on the reviews and a coworker's rave. I know I'll give them another try but my first visit with a friend was just not impressive. Saturday was a girl's day of shopping and eating in Geneva and Nosh was at the top of our list for breakfast. We were quite impressed with their extensive menu - both breakfast and lunch. I also love how they have "tasting" smaller versions of some of their scrumptious sounding pancakes and french toast. The tasting size, true to it's name, is small but not too small for the two of us ladies to split so we can have just a bit of dessert with breakfast :-) We each ordered the same omelet with bacon, gruyere and sauteed leeks. The eggs, 3 of them, were plentiful in the omelet but we each wondered where our filling was. There was hardly any bacon, leeks or gruyere in our omelettes. They were also a bit skimpy on the herb roasted potatoes - there was maybe a half-cup's worth scattered on the plate. Great for portion control but not enough to fill you up! The potatoes were also a bit too greasy from whatever they had been tossed in. Now for our "dessert" - a tasting of the Hot Chocolate French Toast. While this was good it seemed to be lacking an ingredient stated on the menu. It was said to come with some sort of mashmallows or marshmallow fluff. Ours came with a very small amount of what appeared to be, and tasted like whipped cream. And I'm being very truthful, no exaggerating whatsoever, when I say whatever the white topping was it was skimpy. There was plenty of chocolate sauce, though. As for the restaurant itself - I liked the open, airy feel but because of the high ceiling and poor acoustics this place was loud! And they weren't even packed - I'd say half the tables were full and my friend and I had to talk quite loud to hear each other. My final disappointment was when I visited the restroom on the way out. While it was quite clean they have a trash can in the restroom which requires you to lift the lid yourself with your hand in order to throw your paper towel away. I'm no germophobe but in this day and age I would think everyone would appreciate a trash can with a foot-pedal for the lid or sans the lid altogether. I will say the staff and our server were all very friendly and prompt. The ladies near the front greeted us warmly and wished us a great day on our way out. I'm sure I'll give this place another shot when I visit Geneva with my husband. I'll be sure to update this review when I do. read more

Came here prior to wedding dress shopping due to the strong reviews, and I`m not going to lie I was pretty disappointed. The drinks were good (and inexpensive) which was nice, but my friend got a shrimp wrap which literally came with 2 pieces of shrimp, and I got an omelette that had so much oil it might as well have been an ingredient on the menu. Love this spot, as good as the ratings. I had simple eggs as I am dieting, but hubby had the corned beef hash which was really more like shredded corned beef, very tasty. Someone Elsa had a Muchacho Bowl and the bowl got EMPTIED! The fresh squeezed juice was a hit. The only reason I am not going 5 stars, is that although very good, they didn't seem to take anything over the top as far as creativity. But all in all a winner, we'll be back! read more
