Great food! Quick service! We had chicken and mixed shawarma wraps, with baklava to end a delicious lunch. We will be back

We were in the mood for gyros but our usual spot was closed already so I did a search and came across this Pita Zone that I've always been interested in trying. Ordered ahead and the food was ready in the time it took for me to make the 10 minute drive over. The restaurant was clean and had a nice sized dining room with a good amount of tables. Ordered a gyro sandwich and large Mediterranean salad with gyro meat added for us to split like we usually do and see how it stacks up to our regular spot. I liked the variety of toppings the gyro sandwich had and the chunky tzatziki but was surprised to find the sandwich came with no onions. My mom mentioned that she thought the gyro strips weren't as well seasoned as at other places and I initially disagreed but by the end of the meal I did notice the inconsistency and had more than a couple of bland tasting pieces. This was more notable in the Mediterranean salad which had a generous portion of the meat but was not very Mediterranean/Greek. It didn't have any olives, minimal onions and little to no dressing. Seemed more like just the fattoush salad with a couple of pieces of feta. So unfortunately it looks like we'll just have to make more of an effort to get into our tried and true gyro provider before closing time. I have to say that there was a couple of stray pieces of chicken shawarma in our gyros that actually tasted really good which leads me to believe that maybe Pita Zone's forte is their shawarma. I will probably put that theory to the test at some point in the future but not necessarily right away. read more

For a fast casual restaurant, the service was above and beyond. As soon as we walked in, someone helped guide us through the ordering process and as we were enjoying our food someone came to check and see how we were doing. We tried the Mixed Shawarma Entrée and the Chicken Shish Taouk Entrée. The prices are a bit high for a fast casual place but portions were generous. I really enjoyed the mixed shawarma. The pita bread was also so warm and fresh. My only complaint was that the hummus was pretty bland but otherwise I enjoyed my visit! read more

Great Mediterranean on Randall road. My shwarma plate was piled high with chicken and rice, just what I wanted. Chicken shwarma automatically comes with garlic sauce though you can also order an 8oz side for $4. Bottles of hot sauce and tahini dressing at your table. Chef Abdul (a few miles up the road in st Charles) is still the reigning champ of shwarma places in the area but Pita Zone is a terrific option; I'll definitely be back. read more

Had a Chicken Schwarma Wrap and it was very good, not over seasoned like some Greek food. Nothing much to the interior, more of a take out, food delivery kind of spot but I'll definitely have it again. Cheap and quick! Gotta love it! read more

While the food is good, we never get sauces we are asked if we want (and we do want them). They also are very rude.

So glad Geneva has a fast casual Mediterranean place now. Saw this place while driving on Randle and had to stop by. I got the beef shish kabob plate and my buddy got the chicken 911 plate. Both were good the chicken 911 was spicy slow cooked chicken super soft and flavorful. Beef was perfect medium rare a little bland but the hot sauce helped make up for it. You have to order at a computer screen but the employees don't tell you that. A customer took pity on me & showed me after I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes. It's off to the side so you can't even tell that's how you're supposed to order. My husband & I both ordered the combo shawarma entrees. It says chicken comes with garlic sauce, they said I had to pay extra after confirming it came with but wouldn't give it. The entrees also say they come with pitas but they made us pay for them. We also ordered a large humus & they gave us 1 pita for the large hummus. The restaurant was FREEZING. I saw customer after customer tell the staff multiple times by that the bathrooms didn't have toilet paper. They never went to the bathrooms to put in toilet paper. The white sauce was so gross. It was like water. The beef was so fatty we couldn't eat it. The only editable thing was the chicken & the employee dumped 1/2 my entree on the table when bringing out my order. Newer location... food was good but the wait was 30min which I still can't get my head around. They need to take a page out of Sebastian Maniscalco's book... when customers are in the store serve them first. Don't worry about your takeout orders. That said, had the mixed grill. Falafel was very good, chicken Shawarma was room temperature, the grilled chicken tasty. The chicken kefta was my least fav. I will go back again to give them a second shot. Food was edible but no flavor. I couldn't get the thought of the guys who were cooking out of my head. They weren't very hygienic. Touching phones, keys and rubbing their hair. The atmosphere isn't pleasant, bad vibes as soon we walked in. I ordered lamb and got steak, not happy. Hummus is terrible and sour tasting. Pita was a hard flat bad tasting factory made mistake. Finally a Mediterranean restaurant in the fox valley area! First of all, the owners are so kind and friendly! Secondly, you can tell that this is their passion; putting their hearts into their food. Meaning, both flavor and presentation matters. And the owners told me this too! You won't find a bowl overpowered by sauces and toppings here. And Im grateful for that because I love kebobs with all the fixings as shown here. I had to try all the chicken options :) Everything is fresh and made in house :) We especially enjoyed the beef kabobs, chicken sharwarma and falafel. The food and entree portions were good. Today was our 2nd try at Pita Zone and there's no reason to try again. Somehow everything is bland. Bland garlic sauce? How is that even possible?! The tahini was watery, rice is flavorless, falafels overcooked and low quality unripe veggies in the fatoush salad. My wife did say the lentil soup is good so there's that. read more

The Falafel sandwich was OK. The baba ghanoush was OK, but only 1 pita, so I had to go elsewhere to get more. The counter clerk was sullen and not very friendly. It seems like he was having a terrible day. No napkins were given. It's a good thing I keep napkins in my car. This was 2nd and most likely last visit. read more
