On 9/28/25, she called at 8am, hours later a guy came, tried to program the ignition, and then said because the engine model number was different from the VIN, it would take more time. He then unplugged the battery and left. Hours later, another guy came and tried to do the same but couldn't, saying he would come back later. Then, at 4pm, a guy named Badr arrived and attempted the same. He couldn't do it and asked if we were in a hurry. HELLO!!! My daughter had been waiting for you guys since 8 in the morning! So Badr canceled their initial reset and still charged my daughter $390. I told him, "You didn't do anything!" He made up all these excuses, saying every time he used a tablet it charges?? Like, come on--karma will come back to bite you, just watch. Anyway, it was a good thing the Uber driver found my daughter's keys and returned them to her. First of all, they shouldn't have taken that long and made us wait for hours in the middle of nowhere. Secondly, if they didn't know how to do it, they should have been honest from the start so we could call another locksmith who can. Third, they shouldn't have charged us when they did absolutely nothing! So, people, stay far away from this place. They clearly don't know what they're doing and will still charge you for their "attempts."

I ended up bringing my…read moreentire door from a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser into him because it had no brakes at that time and was garaged. I had called ahead weeks prior, he did not have a blank for something this old. I searched high and low and found some out of Switzerland, bought a few extra and gave him a few too. By only using a very small stamped # on the Toyota lock, he was able to cut the key by using a library he has. He cut it right the first time, and it worked like butter, I was SOOO impressed. Recently with my boy needing some house keys, I patiently waited for him, knowing he closed at 5 on a Friday, I couldn't make it. I went back on Saturday morning, he was closed, the "hours of operation" sign was blank on Saturdays and closed on Sunday. No biggie, figured that was on purpose to allow for a day off on occasion. Yes, I could have went to a big box store, but I wanted keys that worked. I couldn't make it to his place again on Monday. Came in on Tuesday 30min before close, got my keys cut, had some color sleeves to identify the keys for sale which was great. Keys ended up working like BUTTA as always. He's worth the wait, and that's why I held out for him. I've used John and his wife for 25yrs since I moved to West Sac, every key, whether it's automotive, or anything else, has worked like Butta! Sadly, he's ready to retire, he'll be selling soon enough. But a prospective buyer goes to his same church, and trusts him. Good luck to you and your wife John, been a pleasure doing biz with ya.
