As evident by the other reviews, Bob's Lock and Safe is a great business to work with. Good pricing, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. A great place to go for your lock and safe needs. Good experience with this family owned company. Replaced my front door lock and front screen door and provided a set of four keys each. Both locks now have the same key. Emily was courteous and professional. I like the one hour service window. read more

Contacted him about my vintage slot machine. I have used his services for years needless to say not anymore. Bob promised to come by and take a look and see what he could do. Bob called me and left a message at the end of the day and basically said was not going to make It which put me In a bind. Bob also said he would have his friend call me which never happened either. A little professional courtesy goes a long way.which I did not receive from BOB In my opinion there is other locksmiths for a better value and reliability you can hire. Frankly I was a bit shocked with the whole way this played out due to the fact I have referred him and gave him a lot of business in the past. Overall very unhappy.if you make a promise you should keep it. read more

This is a superb old fashioned family owned business. I have called on Bob's Lock and Safe for many years dating back to 1980. I've worked with all 3 generations. Emily is the daughter & granddaughter of "Bob" & Grandpa Bob. The phone was answered by grandpa & my service call was dispatched to Bob . Bob let me know Emily his daughter would handle the change out of hardware including Knobs, Deadbolts & locks. Emily called me promptly & promised a date that I asked for. She arrived at the exact time she indicated. She called me prior to arriving to indicate she was right on schedule. All the work was throughly talked over prior to working. Emily gave us clear expectations of costs upfront. She is extremely professional & prepared. She works very efficiently. They are trustworthy & reliable. I highly recommend this family company. I will continue to call upon you when needed .Many thanks to all of you for the excellent experience. read more

We recently moved to Dixon and, in the haste of moving in, we accidentally locked ourselves out of our home. We contacted AAA who recommended Bob's Lock and Safe. Bob answered the phone and assured us he would help by contacting his son Robert. Bob called us back in five minutes to advise Robert was in the area and would call us. Within five minutes Robert called to say he would arrive within 10 minutes!!! AND HE DID!!! He had our front door open in five minutes! Now we know we got very lucky that Robert happened to be available! What impressed us most was the communication with Bob and Robert! Thank you BOB'S LOCK AND SAFE for an AMAZING experience! I called about a non-profit organization I volunteer for needing to get into a locked mailbox at the building. The previous owner didn't have a key nor did the landlord and if we took it off the outside wall, we worried about damaging the historical building concrete. Emily called me back, set up an appointment and kept in phone contact so I could be there when she got there. Perfectly professional and pleasant plus super skilled. Amazing! We should have had this fixed when we first got into the building months ago! It was crammed with mail! Thanks Emily! read more

Bob's Keys and Safe is an excellent business. I have used them twice recently and I have been extremely satisfied. The first time I needed their service Emily came and re-keyed my condo Keys as I just bought the property and needed new keys. The second time she came out recently and repaired a lock. She was very helpful and explained to me the different choices I had in repairing the lock.Emily was cery knowledgeble and proficient. She also took the time and patience to explain to me how to use the lock properly. I felt that the price of service was extremely fair and reasonable.
