Mario did a great job replacing keys for my Dad's Toyota Camry and Ford Escape! He came to my home and quickly made 3 copies for a reasonable price. We will definitely use him again. Thanks Mario! read more

I hardly write reviews but WOW! This guys means business. Somehow, hitting the concrete was enough to break my '92 Pontiac ignition key in half. I've been calling people all day and nobody was able to come out until Monday. Mario's daughter recommended him through a facebook post and I gave him a call. Less than AN HOUR LATER he was done! My old key was super thinned out, bent and broken in half and Mario was able to make a new key in no time at all!!! Thank you SO much, and thank you for coming to quickly!!!! I highly recommend Selden Lock and Key!!! read more

Selden Lock & Key - broken key, before Mario helped! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

I normally don't leave reviews because I always forget but truly the fastest and smoothest experience i've had with calling someone and asking for help. i'm actually sitting in my car typing this like 15 minutes after he left. I lost the keys to my car and haven't been able to find them for a few days, i've had to skip work and class and pay lots of money for ubers. He was super kind, and amazing prices, and was able to come and get me a new pair of keys within a few hours. i've had to call other locksmiths before in the past and have been hit with crazy high prices... I was very fortunate today and will definitely be recommending this guy to others.. (hopefully i won't have to need the service again but i was pleasantly surprised with TWO replacement keys so i doubt that'll happen ) read more

I needed a car key fob programmed and cut years ago and he came to my house and completed the work. I kept his number in my phone all this time, and when I needed a locksmith again I texted him. He has wonderful response time, is very reliable, really reasonable rates, and he went above and beyond by providing some things I should have had available myself. If you need a locksmith, you definitely want to call Selden! read more

We operate a Food Pantry through our church and needed the services of a locksmith to repair an ignition switch in our van after some low life person broke into our van through a window and tried to steal the van. Mario of "Selden Lock and Key" was recommended and he was very knowledgeable, efficient and had a very good pricing. I called him early Monday morning and because the person who recommended him had called him Saturday he was ready for the call and arrived promptly to to the repair. In less than a half an hour he had the ignition switch removed and replaced it with a new switch...keyed to our existing keys. I would highly recommend Mario of "Selden Lock and Key"..he's a local boy and went to Armijo High School....much thanks Mario from John Hom of Rockville Presbyterian Fellowship ... read more

Mario is amazing! We called him when our only key to our Volvo snapped on half. The closest dealership is in Walnut Creek and they wanted to charge us $160 for a key, then another $180 to program the chip. Also we needed to have it towed there and Jim at Tri City Towing gave us Mario's number because he couldn't tow it without a key. Mario came out and put an over night delivery in for a new key. The next day, when it came, he painstakingly opened the new transponder key as well as the old key, and transferred the chip from one to the other . It was like surgery, delicately removing the crystal-like chip without breaking it. I highly recommend Mario at Selden Lock and Key. He saved us a bunch of money...24/7 Mobile Locksmith. Mario is like SWAT! This is who other locksmiths call for help, literally. Went to another locksmith, after an hour of cutting my key and walking back and forth to my truck, I was asked to come back another day! Mario programmed a replacement and had me in and out in about 20 minutes. Price was comparable to my dealer, he was worth it. If you need a locksmith who KNOWS what he's doing, call this guy. He's also mobile ! Thank you ! read more

Mario came thru like the professional he is! If you are in need of an honest, down to earth and reasonably priced Locksmith, Mario the owner is highly recommended! I am completely satisfied and will definitely go back to him if I ever need a locksmith. After calling around the local dealerships for replacement of a remote key fob it, getting it programmed and whatever fees were added...I then called around and Mario had better pricing and he was willing to do house calls since he was mobile. Good job Mario! read more

Great guy hes fast fair and honest ill add one smart guy will be using sheldon lock and key on any keys needs as long as live thanks todd

Mario is totally unresponsive. Called him twice in a two week period to get a replacement keyless remote for my car - popular model of car so availability is not an issue. He took the info over the phone (twice) and never responded with any type of follow up. Totally unprofessional - if you don't want to do the job just say so. Hard to believe he's the same guy that is lauded in the reviews here. Good luck getting a response if you call him... read more

I needed a Honda key cut and programmed for my 2012 CR-Z. The dealer wanted to charge me around $300 for the key, cutting, and programming. I bought the key off of Amazon and then I Yelped for a local key cutter and found Mario. I called Mario at 7:45 am on a Saturday. He met me at 8:00. By 8:15 my key was cut ($80) and programmed ($40). He also showed his wide variety of different automobile keys, most of which were factory OEM. He also showed me replacement housing if your original key was broken. Thank you Mario for saving me over $100 and time waiting at the dealership. I will definitely be calling Mario again for all my car key needs in the future. read more

Professional, reasonably priced, and friendly. I had locked myself out of my car and Selden was hands down the cheapest quote ($75, $125 with cut/duplicated key) to get me into my car. However, they had a caller before me they were assisting - I was given an honest ETA which could not meet my time crunch (I had a Dr. Appointment to get to). I unfortunately had to go with someone else, but they provided the name and # to other locksmith services in the area. I went with Ace Lock and Key, who price matched Selden's quote. read more

Called Mario at 8:15 on Monday morning to program a new key for my minivan. I needed it done ASAP since we are a family of 6 with baseball practices and gymnastics and school pick up and drop offs. Mario was at my house by 9:45 and was done within 10 minutes. Mario saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what a Dodge dealership would have charged me. I've used Mario a few times. For my house, for my vehicles, once for work. No idea how I've never given him a review before. He's easy to work with, his prices are fair and he's responsive. Today I needed a key "repaired" for my wife's Toyota. The plastic head with the remote functions broke away from the key. Mario had me text him a picture and confirmed he could do it. He fit me in traveling between customers and I was in and done in 15 minutes. It turned out to be a little more complicated than he anticipated (he initially didn't expect to cut the key), but the price remained fair. I love working with him because he's candid. Straight answers. And super easy to work with - either last minute "help I'm stuck" or scheduling out. read more

I can't say enough about Mario and his excellent customer service. I lost my keys and didn't have a spare. He was available quickly and very flexible with his schedule! He not only made a new electronic key for me with a blank key I provided, but made an extra at a great discount! What a lifesaver! I would highly recommend Mario to anyone needing key or locksmith services. It's rare to find someone who is so customer service oriented these days. As a small business owner, I know how important it is to support other self employed people. Support your local small business! It matters! Thank you, Mario! You are the best! Jen read more

Mario was available to come out right when I called him. He programed a new Fob key for my Prius and made a new manual key for it in less than 30 min. Total life saver! They were able to come within 15 minutes of me calling and gave my sister a brand new fob for her car. Toyota vacaville quoted us $600 for a new fob and with Selden Lock & Key, we paid more than half that price! So glad we called him. Totally recommend this place read more

My wife lost her keys and with the rash of recent burglaries in Suisun was worried about someone finding her keys and using them for something no good. Excellent customer service! Mario was very friendly and explained everything in full detail in what he was doing from what was damaged to what needed to be replaced. My poor front doorknob clearly needed replacement and since I wanted to get the job completed Mario went out of his way to purchase the necessary replacement because clearly this girl isn't a locksmith and wouldn't have any clue on what to get. With that replacement having to be purchased I definitely paid a lot more than I originally expected but in the end he got the job done and did a few other things that he really didn't need to do but did it anyway. Mario pays attention to the details and I would recommend him. read more

Nice guy. Very helpful. Came out to program my new Jeep key and it would not work. Purchased on eBay but was not correct for my vehicle. Ordered new one and came back next day. Dealer wanted $280 and it was $180.00. Great service and will use again. read more

I needed to have one of my house locks repaired since my keys were periodically getting stuck. I found this company on yelp and Mario came within a few hours of contacting him. The job was done in a matter of minutes. Since he was already here, he offered to take a look at my van since I've been having problems with turning the key in the ignition. He took his time, analyzing both the key and the cylinder in the ignition itself trying to figure out what could be wrong. He also noticed I was installing new headlight bulbs on my vehicle which I haven't done before. He called some friends at Honda and asked for the best way to remove and install the bulbs. He also looked up videos on youtube. We ended up installing the bulbs in no time. Mario stayed throughout the whole process and didn't leave until I was done. He didn't have to, but he did. 5 stars for this service. read more

I have a 1994 Accord. The key was worn down so it no longer turned smoothly. And occasionally it would get stuck in the ignition.
