They went out of their way to make a set of keys for our vehicle ASAP. We will use this service again when the need arises.

I got locked outside of my bedroom and the keys were inside. Oh mah goodness thankfully he was available the same day I was locked out. He was very reliable and within 20 minute from calling him he was already here. No damage to the doorknob and was able to use the same doorknob but different lock. read more

Affordablee Lock and Key contacted me very quickly and we set up a time for the following day. Herman kept me aprised of the arrival time. He did also tell me that the minimum charge is $91 which I approved. Our lever on our interior door to the garage had fallen off. We tried several fixes, you tube guidance, google suggestions and could not get the handle to stay on ourselves. Herman came, took out a allen wrench type tool, tightened some screw and the door lever was secure! He even took off the "collar" of the door knob so that he could tighten the actual door knob. Took a total of 2 minutes. That is exactly what an expert can do. As we all have read, the fact that an expert can do it in a short time, does not mean that he should be compensated for that "short time", please keep in mind that it took years for him to learn his trade and that is what we are repaying him for, not the quick service call. read more

Herman was so responsive, efficient and affordable. I texted him about an inquiry and he responded back with the break down of pricing and service fee. Booked him the same day as request and he wasn't busy so he came in 15 minutes! I spent more time looking for someone than him actually getting my two copies made. He charges $35 for the service fee and $3 for each do not duplicate key plus tax. Spent $42 for everything. Highly would recommend him for any copy of key needs! Thanks Herman! I just bought a new home and decided to upgrade all the exterior locks and handlesets to keyless entry. I purchased all the hardware myself (yay for Black Friday and Christmas sales) and set about looking for a locksmith to install everything and key them all alike. I requested a few quotes from companies here on Yelp and Herman responded very promptly and gave me a quote and scheduling options. Herman arrived on time, masked and ready to go. He installed everything perfectly and took the time needed to make sure everything was properly aligned (at least one of the doors needed some extra work). He rekeyed all my locks alike and made the # of copies that I requested. After installation Herman even showed me how the locks work and explained some key differences between two types of locks that I bought. He gave me a bit of advice about programming them and maintaining records. This was greatly appreciated, and he is very knowledgeable. When I originally planned to upgrade my locks, I was going to DIY it. I opted to hire it out because it would be much faster, and I'm glad I did. The cost was reasonable for the work and expertise involved, and it was money well spent! read more

Nice guy and quickly finished rekeying job in a few minutes. Good value and service. Came to the appointment on time.

I called to get an estimate to get my locks changed. The owner Herman asked what's wrong with my door locks and he actually said it's more cost effective to just re-key the locks vs. changing the lock mechanism. He also came the same day within the hour. He made made sure the locks were cleaned out, re-keyed, tested the keys and locks to work perfectly. In fact, he was a quite meticulous of his work that he took the lock out again because he wanted to make sure the keys would go in and out perfectly with no issues. I'm glad I called this business. Very professional and truly stand behind their business. read more

Herman is NOT lying with the name of his company. The only thing missing from the front of the title is the word "Best." Herman showed up on time to rekey our new house. We were a little concerned because the movers were here at the same time but he was completely unfazed and took care of all of our doors in record time. He even had local information about the art scene here in our new town which we really appreciated; who doesn't want to learn about the local flavor in your neigborhood? Call him; you won't be disappointed. read more
