Where do the true pros go when they need advice and security, even Governmental agencies consult here
Roy L.

The owner of Frantz Locksmith Service is one of the best. This guy eats, sleeps, and breathes locksmithing. It's not his job. It's his passion. I have seen his work and I have seen him doing his job. Unbelievable! Now I'm not just saying all this as a shameless plug. This guy really knows his business! The various governmental agencies use him for their advanced security needs. So you can be sure he will handle anything and everything you could possibly throw at him. I even saw a woman break out in tears after he helped her and that is no bull. Not only that, but other locksmiths go to him for advice. Does he charge them anything for it. No. And now I see they rank higher and that's not fair especially when he built their businesses. You know, you hear all kinds of hype and crap out there, but this guy even refuses to put testimonials on his website! I really don't mind saying it, but I never thought I would get excited with someones business, especially a locksmith. This company rocks!

Once new lock was delivered Robert came over to replace the lock and spent over 2 hours to repair while I was at work and wife at home.

Liberty Safes of Sacramento - Their idea of touch up

Liberty Safes of Sacramento

(63 reviews)

Solid, reputable group of guys working at the store who will all answer your questions with detail…read moreand professionalism. They clearly know their stuff and the showroom has a ton of fun options to look around/shop around in, even if you know what you're generally looking for. Safes are generally pretty expensive, but I didn't feel like any of them were trying to upsell me on anything or any services. It was really a discussion about what would work best for our home and our intended goals. Delivery was very professional, prompt, and accurate. We opted for delivery w/o installation, so they placed the safe in our garage with a pallet jack and we'll be taking it from there. The guys were efficient and professional, highly recommended. If you're on the fence about a safe for the home, stop by and check out their showroom for some inspiration.

Bought a safe from here around Christmas time. Item was discounted due to it having some minor…read morescratches on the side. Seemed like a good price and due to the condition they promised to have the item touched up, and a new tube of paint sent out to me directly. I thought, "no problem. Anybody can touch that up." Before leaving I also pointed out chrome on the handle being dull. They promised to have that shipped out with the tube of paint as well. Well come delivery time, boy was I wrong about the touch up. They pretty much globbed so much touch up on there that it looked worse than if they just left the scratches alone. The delivery folks were even worried I wouldn't accept the delivery. I sanded it away immediately and even in its sanded state looks better. Called and tried to rectify these couple items many times. Pretty much just asked for the tube of paint cause I know I have the tools and amateur level skill with a small air brush to do it better. Was again assured the paint and handle will be shipped. Now, 2 weeks later. I still wait for these items. Called again, and no straight answer on confirmation of if it has shipped or when it will. Also, delivery on their site says it's $375 for a safe the size of the one I ordered. They charged me 450 (next weight size up). So kind of feel bad about that. Just figured that out today, and is what pushed me over to write the review. The store is nice, the people are nice. The product selection is large. My issue is mainly that I haven't seen any significant follow up on my issues AND now I feel slightly cheated over the increased delivery price from what is listed online for the weight of my safe (790 lbs for a master 25) Honestly, I don't fully blame them for the scratches. I should have known better to not be enticed by a discount. It's usually not worth it. However, the incorrect pricing on install/delivery is kind of unacceptable. Even if it was an honest mistake, it shows that they might not know all that much about a specific product they sell. Could I have done more research upfront and avoid this? probably. But you go to places like this to trust the service you will receive. Otherwise, just do the internet.

Paul's Safe and Lock - My key for making the duplicates I needed.

I needed to make several copies, and he recommended Paul's. I called ahead of time to find out their prices, which were very reasonable. Chip helped me, making several car keys and house keys, which all worked great. Both the person who answered the phone and Chip were very professional, helpful, and pleasant to work with. This is an old-fashioned service-oriented store I appreciate a lot, and I highly recommend it.

I texted it... crickets (no reply) for 3 days. Another one who said they were mobile and would come to my house and make a duplicate for $100 (flat rate charge). IF I needed another key or keys they'd be $50 EACH. My response was LOL. I'd previously called a VW dealer... they only sell the modern keys... don't make any keys. No places like ACE hardware or Home Depot has the blank keys for a car that hasn't been made in 50 years. Got it. Finally a locksmith (most are mobile now) called back... he was on the road between jobs and said he didn't know if he had the blanks but I sent him a photo and he said he'd check when he got to his destination. In the meantime he recommended Paul's Safe and Lock... a brick and motor store on Cirby Way in Roseville. I called them, they confirmed they had the blanks and said it'd be around $6.00 per key ( I wanted 3 keys). I drove there and they were AWESOME. They had to tweak the copy they made of my key and then made two more afterward. I bought a couple of other things there and was SO PLEASED with their service.

In the process an equipment failure (hydraulic hose leak) prevented the task being completed. I was left with a safe in the middle of my garage with a promise to move it into the bedroom once the repair was done. I paid Vince in full on human good faith and a handshake. Eta on repair was appx 1 week according to Vince. Here I am a month later and crickets is what I'm getting after numerous calls and texts. Surprisingly Vince did pick up his phone on one of my attempts and was very short on the call in which he said he would be out the next week, he then hung up on me. That was two weeks ago. I no longer care for him to complete the job. Vince your business and character belong in a third world country and that's being generous. Victor B

Vince who was my initial contact was great - always very responsive and answered all my many questions. When they picked up the safe from my parent's home, they came prepared with the right equipment and had it loaded within an hour. The safe was in a shed behind their house and the only way out was over bark. My Mother who is 87 was impressed with their professionalism and said that they even raked the bark after they were finished - leaving no trace that a 2000 lb safe had been wheeled through. Very appreciative that they took care of that for her. Joey and Billy showed up less than 24 hours later to my door in Southern California. Great gentleman and they even moved my garage mats for me to wheel the safe into place in a half hour. They were professional and polite - they even gave me the tutorial on how to open. I wouldn't hesitate to use Invincible Safe movers again and recommend them wholeheartedly. They showed up precisely when they said at pick up and delivery and had the right equipment. THANK YOU Vince, Joey and Billy for bringing the last piece of my Father I have to my home.

Since I didn't want to put my business towards a major hardware chain such as "Home Depot" & "Lowe's" or a mega retailer like "Walmart", I decided to use the Yelp app and came across "J & J Locksmiths". This is one of those old-school places that looks like its been around for decades. And that it has being one of Sacramento's top locksmiths dating back to 1956. Located directly on Fulton Ave. and about a mile south of Business 80 (Capital City Freeway), the exterior has quite that vintage look to it. The business name is shown by a sign that displays it in yellow block letters with a fairly sizable parking lot. Keep in mind that their store is only opened during the week; Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm and closed on the weekends. However, if in the event you're in an emergency, they do offer 24/7 emergency road service. Once inside, you will notice an absolutely massive amount of keys inside of this place. Here, you can get many purposes of keys duplicated which includes residential, commercial, safe and automotive lock services (with all of the major vehicle manufacturers). Some of the really cool features of this place is their collection of fireproof safes with a wide variety of sizes and styles. Since I only needed a simple mailbox key to be duplicated, I went in during the afternoon of Tuesday 1/8/2025 at around 4:00pm. There was only one employee working as I did not see any other customers inside. I simply asked him to make two copies of my mailbox keys and he was done in less than 2 minutes. Total price was only $3/ea + tax and came out to about $6 and some change. Not to mention, the employee was friendly, knowledgeable, and had me in and out of there in no time. All in all, a great family-owned small business. My rating, five stars.
