They will not give you those numbers unless you order in-store. Well fine but the price for the same glasses was 300.00 more. Over double. So I asked can I just get my PD numbers I can order online thru target? Nope. You must pay the in-store price to get those numbers. Even though it is still target, you will not get the info you need unless you pay the higher price. This seems very shady to me. Why wasn't I told this? Now I have a useless prescription unless I pay double by ordering in store. Not a great look target. I feel duped!

I have bumped this up a star (ok) but overall my experience was still what it was. I explained that this is an experience of over 10+yrs of my wife and I as patients. I paid $200+ for a full contacts exam in November 2024 to get my prescription refilled for the…read moretotal 1 contacts I have worn for over 3 years already. The doctor confirmed thru the exam my prescription had not changed and gave me the prescription. She suggested I try some different contacts and gave me a sample. I tried them the next day but did not like them and went back to my original total 1's. Now in July I would like to order more of my total ones but Eyeglass World and the doctor will not sign the original prescription unless I pay an ADDITIONAL $200+ for an additional NEW EXAM even though legally the original prescription is good for a year. This is extortion forcing me to PAY for a 2nd another exam. Fraud. Calling my lawyer. Unethical. I am willing to come in for the "follow Up" visit but I refuse to be blackmailed into paying for another exam when clearly this one is good for a full year and it has only been half a year. My wife politely requested the doctor (an older Asian woman) that the glaucoma test not be done. However, the doctor forcefully declined the request and told my wife she needed the test done. My wife is an alternative health practitioner who knows about the glaucoma test. She knew she was in a low-risk profile for it and that the test itself required usage on many, many people to find one existing case. My wife had no reason to suspect this condition. She asked again to decline the test. The doctor told her that unless the test was done, she couldn't be seen. So my wife left, and it wasted our time. I had a conversation with the manager who just repeated the same BS lines over and over again of "It's a different company," "the doctor says it's necessary," and "it's the standard operating procedure." Standard operating procedure? What BS. We all know that the glaucoma test has nothing to do with getting an eyeglasses prescription (which was all we wanted). We all know that glaucoma mainly affects the elderly (which my wife is not). Not respecting patients' wishes is unethical, condescending, and rude. I hope the management of this place holds its doctors to a higher ethical line and makes needed changes.

Terry the optical device specialist is fantastic and has been here longer than the rest of them put together including the two optometrists. Only trouble with this place is that they're slower than molasses! That's the reason for only 4 stars...sitting in this joint for nearly an hour and still hasn't seen the doctor. Anyhow: the optometrist we both dealt with (Dr. Geary) is a young fellow who seems relatively new out of optometry school but still knows his job well and is straightforward. No nonsense and quite a pleasant doctor to deal with. He was very thorough with my eye exam as he reviewed my old chart. They gave me the typical new case, cloth and load of eyeglass cleaning fluid with my order. Only took a bit over a week to get them back from the lab after my exam and fitting. Certainly a bit better than average as I don't care for EyeglassWorld and all those sorts of joints where they slap together glasses like a line of Big Macs. Yuck!
