Their bid included everything that the highest bid offered, but at about $2500 less. The high bidder did the house next door so we knew who they were. Still we negotiated a slightly lower price with CR and made it more acceptable for us. They did a great job, were quick and cleaned up pretty well. As a contractor myself, I can be critical but the crew did a good job and now several months later, we are still happy we hired CR Master Roofing and have no problem recommending them.

Meanwhile I had some renovation inside of the house done that also included installing some vents, etc. When I called back asking for an appointment I was given an estimated day they can have job done (about 3 weeks from the day of that call). I also asked for an updated estimate since house renovation could affect the number of issues that should be fixed and $$ amount and was told that they would come back to me with the date of the new estimate date. Next day they called me and told me that they could not have my job done before a month after the day they gave me a day before (so it will be two months from that day). When I asked about an estimate, it sounded like they heard about that first time. They scheduled me for almost 2 months from the day of the conversation and promised to get back on an updated estimate date again. A few days later they left me a voice mail that they would like withdraw their proposal and ask me to find another company. During my multiple conversations I was told that they cared more about roof replacement=big job=$$$ than about fixing things like in my case. If you need a roof replacement, maybe you will get a better treatment.

Their…read moregeneral manager Boston inspected and said it may potentially be a leak and pointed out several other new build issues and I signed a roof replacement for a roof that was only 6 years old for a deposit of $8502. I changed my mind shortly after to postpone a replacement because the most problematic area is likely due to condensation from the heat emitting from the blue tube (electronics room) and advised Boston of the cancellation. As I referred several homes that led to a sale for them, they communicated a full refund will be done. Their operations manager Francisco was also very helpful and said he would be able to cancel the material order for minimal cost that they would honor. I waited 6+ weeks for the refund check, first it got lost in mailing according to them, then their repairman quit and was unable to drop it off, then their Sales Director Ben phoned saying he would take over the processing of the check and someone would drop the check off. The following week essentially everyone at the company ghosted me after I offered to pick up the check and Ben replied by email they would only refund $6084 even though he just said someone was suppose to drop off the refund a week ago. This was extremely disappointing as I advocated and referred many people to them as Boston and Francisco were really honest and easy to work with. However they stringed me along, mislead me on two separate refund checks that were on the way just to be backpedalled 6 weeks later in a unprofessional way. I am now awaiting their official reply on how they will continue with the refund and likely will take this to small claims court as at this point I have no trust/faith in anything they communicate. My complaint is on how they managed this situation and utter lack of respect of their customers time and dishonest communication. Luckily I'm in tech and not in a rush to get back $8502 right away but if this would impact you, don't expect prompt follow ups for refunds. This review is not for the hard working contractors who actually know their trade and do high quality work here, I was looking forward to a future roof replacement done with best practices but I don't do business with dishonest people/management. I'd recommend proceeding with caution.

At Shirey's suggestion, we used TimberTech Azek boards and found a MAXI version in Coastline grey. We're now done except for the custom railing on order, and couldn't be happier. Lead carpenter Bryan is a deck mastermind who was great at figuring out sound, good-looking solutions to our issues. Both he and fellow carpenter Jeromy were highly skilled and efficient, left the work site immaculate at the end of every day and were also just nice to have around. We like the results so much we added fascia and new board for our catwalks to the original agreement. Shirey's inside staff -- coordinator Ashley and bookkeeper Brenda -- are equally great, and especially good at timely, clear communication. We look forward to using Shirey Home Pro again and highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with the results. Sidenote, we had a very experienced house builder on our property during the wait for the temperatures to rise and they of course could see the work that HOJ had done thus far (forms and rebar in place etc....). Sunnyside Construction went above and beyond our expectations. We have had Sunnyside come back to work on our house every 3 years as we work through our home-improvement wish list. Having found a great contractor in Sunnyside, we are going to be loyal to them for as long as we are homeowners. They show up on time and got the work done according to schedule. The final bill was right in line with their estimate. We were kept advised of any issues when they came up. They clearly explained the issues and what our options were...we never felt like we were being upsold on more work. The quality of their work is very impressive. We have had them redo our flooring, completely redo our bathroom (expanded size of bathroom, moved bathroom door, tile flooring, converted a tub into a walk in shower, etc), remodel our living room (removal of a wall), replace windows, level our crawlspace, install a French drain, landscape our back yard, build a pergola, etc. All of these projects came out better than our expectations. Not to worry- his experience came through and everything was spot on. Their team does not let small issues go unresolved. Even when it wasn't assigned to him. He found rusty pipes while working on the electric. He brought it to our attention and took care of it without question. I can only imagine how big the repair bill would eventually be if he did catch it. I've attached the before (grey floor) and after (blond floor) to show off his team's talent. His team: 1. Knocked out a load-bearing wall and added beam to open up the living room into the kitchen/dining. 2. Redid the floors. 3. Redid the bathroom (expanded bathroom by incorporating closet from second bedroom, created walk-in shower, added dual vanity, tiled floors) 4. Replaced windows in master bed and bathroom 5.
