Working with the owner was OK. I got 3 bids and Stewart roofing was the lowest but there is a catch that you'll need to consider. Stewart's bid doesn't include Ice and Water shield. It wasnt on the bid as an option either. The others did include it. When i inquired about this i was informed it wasn't necessary. I did some research and 99% of other companies i checked with said its important. Im scratching my head at this point. I had somewhat of a working relationship with Stewart (they did a previous repair which went great) so i took Richard's word cause of his longevity in the career. I asked a lot of questions and they finally gave a cost to do it which i should of accepted but thought it was too high so i didn't. Im a bit concerned about that but only time will tell. The roof seems fine for the most part. Im not an expert. The job went fine with a couple hiccups. I struggled with leaving a review considering my concerns but here i am. Overall my experience was pretty good so im giving a 4 star.

Their…read moregeneral manager Boston inspected and said it may potentially be a leak and pointed out several other new build issues and I signed a roof replacement for a roof that was only 6 years old for a deposit of $8502. I changed my mind shortly after to postpone a replacement because the most problematic area is likely due to condensation from the heat emitting from the blue tube (electronics room) and advised Boston of the cancellation. As I referred several homes that led to a sale for them, they communicated a full refund will be done. Their operations manager Francisco was also very helpful and said he would be able to cancel the material order for minimal cost that they would honor. I waited 6+ weeks for the refund check, first it got lost in mailing according to them, then their repairman quit and was unable to drop it off, then their Sales Director Ben phoned saying he would take over the processing of the check and someone would drop the check off. The following week essentially everyone at the company ghosted me after I offered to pick up the check and Ben replied by email they would only refund $6084 even though he just said someone was suppose to drop off the refund a week ago. This was extremely disappointing as I advocated and referred many people to them as Boston and Francisco were really honest and easy to work with. However they stringed me along, mislead me on two separate refund checks that were on the way just to be backpedalled 6 weeks later in a unprofessional way. I am now awaiting their official reply on how they will continue with the refund and likely will take this to small claims court as at this point I have no trust/faith in anything they communicate. My complaint is on how they managed this situation and utter lack of respect of their customers time and dishonest communication. Luckily I'm in tech and not in a rush to get back $8502 right away but if this would impact you, don't expect prompt follow ups for refunds. This review is not for the hard working contractors who actually know their trade and do high quality work here, I was looking forward to a future roof replacement done with best practices but I don't do business with dishonest people/management. I'd recommend proceeding with caution.

I have a classic old, brick Tudor house with a steep roof, and as you can see in the photo he did an excellent job! He was true to his word on the schedule and price. He paid attention to details, even painting some roof vents to match the color of the shingles and when he was finished, he cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell he'd been here. Today, about eight months later, I discovered some rain water leaking down through the ventilation fan over my kitchen stove. I called Scott and he was here within the hour. Turns out, it was the roof vent had a rivet joint that failed, which was nothing to do with the new roof that he installed. He still fixed the leak for me at no charge. Hiring contractors is always a gamble and I've run across some bad ones, but Scott is definitely one of the good guys. In addition to his professionalism, he's a friendly, calm, and pleasant guy. You can rest assured he'll do a good job for you. I highly recommend him.

The team was jovial, punctual, efficient, professional, and rather fun to have around for the week of the repair. The result is excellent. Replaced the entire roof, added new ridge vent, replaced/enhanced the fascia all around, and put in 9 new 3" diameter downspouts. Highly recommended.

A few days later he called back not with an estimate but to say he "was interested" in doing the work, so now he would have to come back and take some measurements to actually estimate. Second time came out, took measurements, realized initial hacky solution wouldn't work and left again, with no call back heard from agent he was not interested in the job. This is not how you do customer service. You are busy, you don't want to do the work, fine, but don't leave a customer hanging, and don't take multiple trips wasting customer's time to come to this conclusion.
