I don't really have a choice about the lug bolts but he said he could just not charge for the labor for those if he's doing the brakes so I agreed We were now looking at about $700 They call me around 3ish maybe 4 and then they tell me they went to put my wheels on and realized the lug pattern didn't match my car and that they then realized that my spacers were actually wheel adjusters and that they had to be on in order to put the wheels on. So unfortunately they don't have smaller ones and they will have to put them back on So, the whole reason I came here was for the spacers. When they were taken off is when I'm assuming those lug bolts were broken, which is whatever. But once they were taken off, I'm wondering how nobody noticed that they weren't just spacers, especially being that this place has been around a long time and they seemed to have experienced mechanics. I also approved new pads, not new rotors, they threw those in there for over $200 plus the $70 for the pads, so maybe this is just their protocol but it would've been nice to have this explained. By the time I came to get my car, my bill was over $1000 but all I really ended up getting was an oil change and brakes. The rest was a waste of time On my way to my step mom's house, I noticed on the freeway, that not only was my car a lot more shaky, I felt scared so I pulled over, and it turns out that they rotated my tires, but my back rims have a bend on them, which is something I explained to them that the Toyota service department wouldn't do because they don't want the bent rim to be in the front and risk blowing while I'm on the freeway. So these people disregarded that. Not a huge deal, but just something I feel like was ignored Then on my way back from my step moms, I noticed that every time I was braking, my whole steering wheel was wobbling back and forth and there was smoke coming from what seemed to be my front tire area. I pulled over and I realized my brakes were smoking like crazy! I know there's a seal put on them before the box, so maybe that's why? Maybe it was melting so the pads were sticking? I got back in after 15 mins of cooling down and then tried to brake again and it was still happening. I needed to get home I was exhausted so I decided to just keep going . I ended up having to slam on my brakes (traffic) and then all of a sudden it was back to normal. However, then I started hearing a clicking noise. This noise has now happened all weekend but not consistently. I checked to make sure there's no nails or rocks in my tires, and there's not, so I called today (Monday) to let them know, and I will be bringing my car in tomorrow morning. Overall, I do not plan to return here, would not recommend this place, and feel like they saw the opportunity to rack up a bill because I'm a girl. Please take your $$ elsewhere.

I had my oil changed and appreciated the fair pricing and prompt performance while I waited for their service. No upsells for unneeded services! They do take Visa and Mastercard. We were happy to drive 100 miles for a respectful quality shop. We radiated out from Marysville using consumer recommendations and yelp. I wrote or spoke with over 11 independent specialty shops. Unbelievable because nobody wants to do this simple profitable repair. Everybody have been quite polite and one shop suggested Easy Fix. A specialty repair shop owner actually recommended a competitor! Saturday hours! Unusually polite and clean! Low prices! Half of what a dealership wanted to charge! Masen greeted Christine with her Mazda as soon as we arrived. He spoke in easy to understand terms about what was done and what was needed in a most caring fashion. There were so many adjustments and repairs for so many cars and trucks that are actually simple and less expensive to do than a factory authorized dealer. Mercedes, VW, Jeep, Nissan... getting quotes and considering having them do various work that I didn't have the tools or training on, but it always worked out to be less expensive for me to buy the specialized tools and do it myself. What I found refreshing was they enjoyed talking about the engines and even offered advice on what to do and not do. These folks know Diesels and if I didn't have the skills or want to buy the tools, I'd use them with confidence, reason being is I've had at three local shops break more than they fixed. Dealerships often won't or can't do the work on older vehicles. After I did my own service on a complicated little Diesel, I wanted someone that knew it well enough to do a thorough check. It wasn't trivial maintenance and involved well over a grand in parts and special tools... if I hadn't done it right, it wouldn't end well. I wanted to make sure it was correct because it's my wife's vehicle. They understood, they checked my work, and the entire vehicle and found one thing I had missed, which I'll be fixing later. They charged a reasonable amount for the complete check, less than the original estimate (they had scheduled 2 hrs, but only needed 30 minutes). If I had done something wrong I gladly would have paid to have it fixed by them. I know why they put rubber bands in Diesels, but wish they wouldn't, and then they require expensive special tools to change. So, if you've got a rubber band in your Diesel and you think the quote might be high... look at the special tools required to do the job, the training and skill required to do it. Get a quote from the Dealer as well, if they'll even service an older vehicle. Shop rate seems high, but it costs a lot of money to keep a shop going, especially with fees, taxes, safety and environmental mandates, insurance, training, special tools, skilled technicians... If I am not able to do something on my own in the future I'll be back. People have to realize that repairing vehicles can get complicated quickly, other parts wear out, things break that shouldn't break when trying to be removed and most vehicles simply were not designed well or built to be repaired easily, and of course dealerships stop supporting older vehicles. So, what's a person to do? Simple, find a shop like this one with folks who know a variety of vehicles. And before you complain about the costs of a repair, look at what is involved in that repair on line, and ask yourself, do you think YOU could do that job? If so, do it yourself, buy the tools, shop manuals, parts and save yourself the money. But you'll find it will take you more time, and chances are good that you'll break things along the way and the info you found on line might not have mentioned the things most mechanics already know. But, you'll save somewhere between 25 to 50% of what will be charged, and you will have special tools you'll likely never use again. Also, consider in the costs of towing if it goes horribly wrong, and what it will take/cost a professional to make it work again. I'm very thankful for those high school shop classes back in the '60's and '70's, they've saved me a lot of money over the years, and I didn't mind paying to have my work checked, if I hadn't done it right, it could have been very expensive.
