They had been there for a week and the staff's question to me was "it wasn't like that when you dropped him off?" They clearly had not been paying attention to him. Apparently he had a medical event while I was gone. This could've been treated if they were checking on him daily as they are supposed to, instead my dog ended up LOSING HIS EYE. They also lost a bag of toys and treats that I taken for my dogs. It took them a week to locate it and return it to me. They refused to give a refund for the stay. I will never bring my babies back there, and recommend other pet owners avoid!

She has regular bath/grooming sessions there as well. As such, we have had the opportunity to get to know most of the Uptown Team throughout the years, from the day care staff to management to trainers, and they have been nothing but caring, supportive, knowledgable and accommodating. She is always clearly happy and excited to see them, no matter which staff member it is, when we drop her off. When our dog was younger we tried out a few other day care businesses to see what was out there, and Uptown Pup was the only place where we felt our dog was cared for and received an individual focus; each Uptown staffer truly cares about the dogs' well-being and wants each one to flourish. Our dog has anxiety issues, particularly with loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks, and Uptown has consistently gone above and beyond to help her with this, including taking her aside from her group to relax and hang out during day care. During her boarding stays the staff has also paid extra attention to make sure she was comfortable. She also has a food allergy and a sensitive stomach, and the staff always remains cognizant of this and makes sure she avoids certain types of treats/foods when she's there. These are just a few examples of the care that Uptown takes for clients. For anyone deciding whether to entrust Uptown Pup with their day care, boarding, training or grooming needs, this probably sums it up best: we wouldn't just recommend Uptown Pup - we wouldn't take our dog anywhere else BUT Uptown Pup.

I've also had private lessons with Jimmy on an urgent basis. He was very, very helpful to me to change specific behaviors that were problematic when encountering other dogs. Enter Walk n' Wag! As soon as you fill out a contact form on the website, Elise schedules a complimentary consultation with you. She takes the time to get to know you, your needs, and your pup! I loved that she asked about our pup's daily routine, inquired about any training we would want her to continue to implement, and wanted to know more about our pup's favorite things. She has a well thought out contract that made me feel safe about letting someone in our home and someone handle our pup without us there. We have Elise spend time with our pup about 3 times a week. They connected immediately, which I attribute 100% to Elise's kind spirit and love for animals. Our home is always left spotless and secured, with the only evidence of her visit being 1) a tired pup and 2) a sweet message on a whiteboard describing the fun adventures she and our pup have been on that day. In terms of scheduling, Walk n' Wag is super flexible. We have a standing appointment, which is effortless for us! However, when needed, we've also been able to cancel our recurring appointments, and add extra ones. Elise has been so flexible, and we are so appreciative. Payment is a breeze- we can connect a bank account or use a card using a secure payment platform, without the awkwardness of leaving cash on the counter or mailing a check.
