Everyone, from the first dealer i talked to, untill the manager were extremely helpful, understanding and generaly nice. I leased a 2004 Jetta here in 2004 and had a pretty good experience. My salesman was…read morestraightforward and put me into the car of my dreams. At the time, the business manager was on the rude side, but I've come to expect that from the money guys. When I decided to lease a Jetta again in 2009, I went here first. I looked around for my salesman, but didn't see him and a younger guy approached me. After introducing himself and asking me what I wanted, his reply was, "Well, I haven't been here long and don't know much about Volkswagens, but we'll see what we can do." I was told that the car I wanted wasn't on the lot, and then my salesman and the business manager I'd worked with 5 years ago started to draw up numbers for a car they didn't have! They told me I wouldn't find one anywhere in Massachusetts or NH, which of course put me into "Oh yeah?" mode. I left. The guy called me back for several weeks and kept trying to make me feel bad for him over the phone because I was insisting on what I believed to be a reasonable price and he kept insisting that I would never find it. Well, I did find it, and I found it for a higher, more pimped out trim. So suck on that North Shore VW. If you read my review of Quirk VW, you'll know that I bought my car there, but there was a problem with the socket from day one. Since the service was warranty and Northshore VW is the closest dealership, I took it there to replace the fuse. When I picked up the car, the mechanic came right out to the crowded waiting room, spoke to me like I was 8 and informed me that I must have done something to break it, and to be careful when plugging in my charger. Excuse me? Excuse me? I managed to break a car that I had owned for less than a week by plugging in my GPS to charge? Get off your high horse. The car had a blown fuse from day one. Don't try to pawn that off on me. The 2 stars given here are purely for my salesman back in 2004. Nothing else.

Additionally, I had expressed interest in a independent, pre-sale inspection...Tim suggested Autobahn Performance, a reputable shop nearby that specializes in German cars...they were thorough and very informative...the car was given high marks! After accepting, I was told there would be an undisclosed $2,300 due at delivery that never appeared in any paperwork or communication. When I raised the issue, the dealership refused to honor the written terms. Bryan Laskin ultimately stated Honda North would not move forward under any terms. My deposit was refunded, but the misrepresentation and lack of transparency were never addressed. Buyer or lessee BEWARE!! Apparently a wise consumer is their worst customer! The response from Honda North is false. On the workout sheet it simply shows a total amount of $2300. due on delivery. There is absolutely nothing on the sheet that says only $300.00 due at signing. When I asked for a copy of the actual lease agreement, I was told that it was e-signed and was unable to be printed. For some reason, they won't admit that they are not transparent and attempt to switch numbers around. I believe that if I had gone through with the transaction they would have definitely taken $2300. from me. It is only when I caught them they say this ghost incentives line was on the worksheet. It is not, otherwise it would not have been an issue. Apparently Honda North doesn't like working with informed and educated consumers. Again, buyer or lessee BEWARE!
