The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

Pure Power also has great design sense and provided recommendations on placement. Work was of the highest quality and completed very quickly. Pricing is reasonable. Karlin is very thoughtful and a great communicator. Pure Power will always be my go-to electrician going forward. I'm so glad my general contractor strongly recommended Pure Power as their primary electrician.

He acted professionally, and he even let me watch him install the new breakers. My only minor concern is he only hand tightened the screws "good and tight", instead of tightening them according to the 36(inch pounds) specification that was written on the breaker installation instructions, and on the new breakers themselves, when he installed the new breakers. Karlin said that this is the common practice among electricians and that very few, if any, bother to follow the inch pound torque standard when tightening circuit breakers. Also, it would have required use of a special expensive inch pound torque wrench that must undergo annual inspection and certification. (What a pay cut! Ouch!) These facts for now allay my concern enough that I can see myself hiring this firm again to do electrical work for me in the future. I say this especially since Karlin was an easy person to work with.

I didn't want to turn anything back on unless it was safe. I called around various places but many were booked or couldn't guarantee service with a minimum $195 troubleshooting fee. I left a message with AMS but was not sure they would get back to me. Brenda called me back right away. Despite having everyone scheduled out, hearing I had lost my heat with the safety concerns over melted electrical, Brenda contacted the owner Aaron who agreed to come out today to help me. Aaron was very courteous, responsive, and professional. He came prepared with a spare thermostat, even though I had already purchased one. His work was professional and he made sure things were installed level. The price for the same day service was very reasonable. $99 service entrance fee + repair time. Would highly recommend this company! They look out for their community and were very kind to fit me in under the circumstances on dhort notice. Very grateful to Brenda and Aaron today! Definitely have peace of mind and restored heat.
