We had the oatmeal pancakes you get three pancakes for $14. You can't beat that price. They also had cinnamon bun pancakes. They said they were delicious and also banana mania which was also delicious and the coffee three dollars a cup. Wow this is a gem out-of-the-way but worth the drive if you're in the area or if you feel like taking a little drive on your way either to Atlantic City, New Jersey or from Atlantic City going towards Atlantic City New Jersey, it's definitely worth the stop indoor outdoor seating and counter seating but as I stated earlier, not a lot of seating no reservations we had to wait about 15 minutes. The service was excellent very personable young waitress who seemed really happy to be working there full of energy and full oven enthusiasm

We came to Ready's for breakfast and ended up with one of the most authentic American diner…read moreexperiences on the Jersey Shore. Everything is made-to-order, and you can feel the pride in every bite. The cinnamon buns? Our daughter said they tasted just like the homemade ones from her grandmother, high praise in our family. We're originally from Pennsylvania, so of course we had to try the scrapple. It hit the mark: classic, crispy, and comforting. The pancakes tasted like the real thing, no shortcuts. The western omelette was superb, made with fresh ingredients, and the broccoli and cheese omelette didn't disappoint either. What truly made the morning was Donna. Her service elevated the entire experience. She's the kind of server you remember. Warm, attentive, and the perfect complement to a family-owned establishment that still believes in hospitality. Everyone on staff moved with purpose and kindness, from the hostess to the kitchen crew. The crowd was a lively blend of locals and tourists, with the kind of noise that tells you people are enjoying themselves, laughing, catching up, sipping coffee. The atmosphere felt like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting but with better eggs. We were with our oldest child visiting from college, and this breakfast became a memory. For Manhattan natives like us, Ready's delivered everything we hope for when visiting the Shore: honest food, community feel, and a standout staff that made us feel like regulars. Verdict: LOVE. Highest possible recommendation. This is an Ocean City pilgrimage stop, one of the best finds on the Shore. Cash only, so come prepared, and come hungry. NOTE: CASH ONLY!!!

Friendly staff, great energy, and exceptional hospitality all around. We'll definitely be back!

We have been visiting Varsity Inn for nearly 25 years now and have always enjoyed it…read more We visited a couple days ago, and food and service was very good, as usual. Wjat was upsetting is that we noticed they are now adding hidden costs to your meal. I had a steak sandwich with onions and peppers. They charged me $2 for onions and $2 for peppers, adding an extra $4 for the meal. The added cost was not indicated on the menu, nor did the server disclose it. Another person changed out their two slices of standard toast for a slice of whole grain. That was a $1 added charge. Visitors should check their bills closesly since Varsity Inn seems to now want to add a charge for any little thing. The following night, I had a hamburger at another restaurant, and there was not an added charge for onion. Looks like we'll go elsewhere so we don't get hit with added, hidden charges.

The goat cheese one was really yummy - the cheese was bursting with flavor - the egg one was a bit more bland. Also, the balsamic glaze was good, but I feel like it didn't blend well with the flavor of the egg and cheese crepe. The place itself has a simple diner feel, and has a lot of seating. It's casual and comfortable. The service was exceptional - our server was so friendly and helpful, and his vibrant energy really added to the experience. Overall, a good experience, but the food was not mind blowing.

Not your average breakfast joint! My wife's family has been vacationing in Ocean City for years and…read morethis was everyone's first visit to Hooked on Breakfast. One of the servers who knows our niece suggested we stop by for breakfast during her shift and recommended we come before 8 am as it gets busy. By the time we arrived (after 8 am lol) our only option was to sit outside, otherwise the wait would've been 45 minutes--she was right. When I say I'm not a breakfast person, I don't mean I dislike breakfast foods. I just don't enjoy eating early in the day. This did not stop me from looking through pictures on Yelp and Google (Wow! Everything looked delicious!) and through the menu which had some very intriguing options including Woody's Scrap Pile, Cannoli Pancakes, and Breakfast Sushi (only on Tuesdays) just to name a few. The menu has all your typical breakfast foods and combos you'd find at any diner or breakfast joint, but then there are also much more unique, elaborate "craft" options that really make this menu stand out. Our server, who is also a teacher in my niece's school, was great. She was friendly, attentive, professional, frequently checked in, and was especially good with the kids, offering crayons and their choice of colored straws. While I didn't eat, my 5 star rating is based on the service (of course), the coffee, and unanimous positive remarks from around the table. I really liked the coffee mugs. They were large (larger than your average coffee mug), sturdy mugs that were filled nearly to the brim with piping hot coffee. My wife got the Sour Dough Delight--grilled sour dough topped with bacon, goat cheese, arugula, balsamic reduction (which she skipped) and two eggs (any style). She loved it and told me she'd absolutely order it again after she tries the Avocado Naan. Guess we're coming back at least twice more lol! Our table also had an Omelette, a breakfast sandwich, and French Toast. Everyone enjoyed their food and the portion sizes were huge--I don't think anybody finished their plate. While I did think the prices were fair, especially for the quality and quantity of food served, the online menu hadn't been updated to reflect current prices. I can see why they get as busy as they do and why they've received so many 5 star reviews. I'm sure Hooked on Breakfast will be added to our list of stops on our annual Ocean City family vacation after our experience this July.

The inside is simple, with cafeteria-style seating and a big, clean kitchen, but the warm welcome from the staff sets the tone right away. The menu is an all-day affair, loaded with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. While the dining room was quiet during our visit, the constant stream of DoorDash drivers picking up orders made it clear this spot is a local favorite. They offer both bottled and fountain drinks, keeping things easy and classic. We kicked things off with the fried pickles. I'll admit, I am not usually a fan, but my dining partner insisted. At around $10, these were worth every penny. They were hand-battered, not frozen, and came out steaming hot with a side of ranch. The portion was huge, and to my surprise, they were excellent. If fried pickles are your thing, these are a must-try. For the main course, I nearly went with the fried flounder sandwich, but at the last second I joined my friend in ordering the Jersey Devil Cheeseburger. This beast of a burger was an 8-ounce spicy patty cooked to order and topped with Thousand Island, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, and mushrooms on a Kaiser roll. At $11.99, it came with a pickle and a side dish, and I went with the slaw. It was fresh and tasty, though my friend thought it could use a little more vinegar. The burger itself was fresh, huge, and delivered on its promise of heat. It even came crowned with a whole roasted jalapeño pepper as garnish. For me, the cayenne packed a little too much punch without much flavor, and I think smoked jalapeños might make an even better choice. Still, my friend loved it, and we both left full and satisfied. Molly's Kitchen is the kind of place you want to have in your back pocket. It's simple, friendly, and serving up hearty food that feels made with care. If you're in the Northfield area and looking for a great bite, don't pass this place by. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm nearby.
