We were in Atlantic City with friends and they were raving about this restaurant. They have pancakes so we took the drive across the bridge and I must say it's a really interesting little restaurant not many tables but they have delicious pancakes. We had the oatmeal pancakes you get three pancakes for $14. You can't beat that price. They also had cinnamon bun pancakes. They said they were delicious and also banana mania which was also delicious and the coffee three dollars a cup. Wow this is a gem out-of-the-way but worth the drive if you're in the area or if you feel like taking a little drive on your way either to Atlantic City, New Jersey or from Atlantic City going towards Atlantic City New Jersey, it's definitely worth the stop indoor outdoor seating and counter seating but as I stated earlier, not a lot of seating no reservations we had to wait about 15 minutes. I've reviewed CJ's before, and always favorably! As I still feel it's an amazing place to grab breakfast or lunch and I live that they're open til 4! For those late risers who crave breakfast later in the day. I wanted to focus this review on the staff! Cheers to them! Hands down, this is MY FAVORITE PLACE to EAT BREAKFAST ANY TIME of DAY!! The staff is soooo friendly, organized and spot on with service!! The food is next level breakfast or lunch. I am definitely a sweet breakfast lover! My latest favorite is called Bananarama. It is French toast made with thick bread, crumbled vanilla wafers, drizzled with banana pudding and caramel sauce!! It's one of our two breakfast spots we frequent everytime in somers point. Get something that doesn't sound traditional and its phenomenal. Had the "Yellowstone" omelette today. Brisket, bbq sauce, Swiss cheese omelette with the best chip style potato home fries. Haven't been able to stop thinking about how good the brisket was. Also the pancakes are always crazy, get a stack and split them between a couple people, just to sample bc they have such variety and kill (in a good way) everything on the menu. We were looking for a place for lunch on Sunday when our original place decided to close. Found this on Yelp, and the reviews were good and the menu looked great! Service was excellent, and my partner's roast beef sandwich was good. The accompanying chips were not. My salad (CJs salad) was ok, but the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was completely separated, and I couldn't pour it on my salad unless I wanted all oil. (Yes, I know salad dressings separate, so all they had to do was shake up the bottle and pour it right before bringing it out.) I had to ask for just balsamic vinegar so I could at least have something on my salad besides oil. Service was good, and it seemed like a popular place. Perhaps salads aren't their strong points, but we likely won't come back to find out. read more

Thanks to Yelp, I found CJ's corner while spending the weekend down the shore. Anytime there's an extensive list of Bennies, I'M IN! I'll admit, I won't feel great later due to the amounts of gluten we ordered, but these breakfast treats were too good to pass up. I got the Tuscan Bennie which was topped with a well cooked poached egg, prosciutto, spinach, and roasted red peppers with a classic hollandaise piled high on an English muffin. Oh, so good! Loved the subtle smokiness from the prosciutto and the extra tang from the roasted red peppers. The breakfast potatoes (sliced like chips) that came with both bennies were decent, too! My bf went for the Longport Bennie. Croissant on the bottom, a perfect poached egg, smoked salmon, goat cheese, chives and hollandaise. He wolfed it down. I'm not a goat cheese or smoked salmon fan, so I passed on a bite, but I'll take his word that it was good. Since we've ventured on this gluten binge together, we had to get the almond joy pancakes. Yum! To fully get the almond joy flavor, they could have used more of the chocolate/almond/coconut fixings but they were still tasty. On the side we got the Turkey bacon, which was a bit undercooked but edible. A great first impression of the restaurant. We hope to return to try other parts of the menu in the future. read more

The restaurant itself is a bit small so it tends to fill up, but if you get there early enough, there shouldn't be an issue with getting a seat. The waitresses are all very attentive and kind. They have a TON of specialty omelettes, French toast, and pancakes. I also tried their "Two Eggs Any Style." Their home fries were seasoned perfectly . You really can't go wrong with anything that you choose! I can't wait to go back and I'm excited for you to try their food. Service-their servers made some really great recommendations regarding the dishes that myself and friends wanted to try. She really listened to what we were looking for and tapered her recommendations from there. Parking-parking is limited! I recommend parking on neighboring streets; catching a parking spot in their parking lot is nearly impossible during a rush (that speaks to how amazing their food is!). If you're visiting during the summer months, read the parking parameter signs...they mean it when they say they'll ticket you or tow your car (don't be that shoe-be). Extra- If you're not new here and have seen my other posts, you know I've worked within the service industry for a LONG TIME...their hostess (who appear to also be their servers) are not the strongest. Being conscious of your tone with guests when they call ahead, I feel, is important. Additionally, the hostess gave a inaccurate time for the wait (telling us it'd be 20 minutes and it was 40-45). I'll also say, the day I visited, a fourteen top had taken up a third of the restaurant which contributed to the long wait (what can you do ‍). Lastly, I wouldn't seat a two top at a four top (which could be sat as a 6 top) during a rush brunch time. They weren't overly sweet, and had so much flavor they didn't even need syrup. My husband got this biscuits and gravy Benedict dish with fried chicken and hot honey that he really enjoyed. So many flavors but they all went together perfectly. The menu has a ton of variety and so many unique things that sounded amazing, we had to go back that weekend with the kids to try more. Not too cramped, but it definitely gets busy (for good reasons). But the service and turn over is fast and efficient. The best part is the staff. The table was half wiped by the bus boy and when I asked the waitress if she would mind wiping it for us (because even the parts that had food and were wiped, were merely pushed onto the chairs), she also barely wiped it leaving a pile of water and not really cleaning it. For reference, I've never had to ask for a table to be cleaned anywhere that I've eaten ever. The menu looked like it had some interesting things on it, but none of them were that good when they arrived.
