We were looking for a place for lunch on Sunday when our original place decided to close. Found this on Yelp, and the reviews were good and the menu looked great! Service was excellent, and my partner's roast beef sandwich was good. The accompanying chips were not. My salad (CJs salad) was ok, but the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was completely separated, and I couldn't pour it on my salad unless I wanted all oil. (Yes, I know salad dressings separate, so all they had to do was shake up the bottle and pour it right before bringing it out.) I had to ask for just balsamic vinegar so I could at least have something on my salad besides oil. Service was good, and it seemed like a popular place. Perhaps salads aren't their strong points, but we likely won't come back to find out.

I've been coming to CJ's since I was a little girl and I have always loved it! I'm not a breakfast person but I crave their food!!! The restaurant itself is a bit small so it tends to fill up, but if you get there early enough, there shouldn't be an issue with getting a seat. The waitresses are all very attentive and kind. I highly recommend CJ's; I've never had a bad experience!

Thanks to Yelp, I found CJ's corner while spending the weekend down the shore. Anytime there's an extensive list of Bennies, I'M IN! I'll admit, I won't feel great later due to the amounts of gluten we ordered, but these breakfast treats were too good to pass up. I got the Tuscan Bennie which was topped with a well cooked poached egg, prosciutto, spinach, and roasted red peppers with a classic hollandaise piled high on an English muffin. Oh, so good! Loved the subtle smokiness from the prosciutto and the extra tang from the roasted red peppers. The breakfast potatoes (sliced like chips) that came with both bennies were decent, too! My bf went for the Longport Bennie. Croissant on the bottom, a perfect poached egg, smoked salmon, goat cheese, chives and hollandaise. He wolfed it down. I'm not a goat cheese or smoked salmon fan, so I passed on a bite, but I'll take his word that it was good. Since we've ventured on this gluten binge together, we had to get the almond joy pancakes. Yum! To fully get the almond joy flavor, they could have used more of the chocolate/almond/coconut fixings but they were still tasty. On the side we got the Turkey bacon, which was a bit undercooked but edible. A great first impression of the restaurant. We hope to return to try other parts of the menu in the future.

Cornbread pancakes and Two eggs any style

Another local favorite, CJs Corner Grill. Pictured are their Corn Bread Pancakes topped with maple bacon, bourbon honey butter, and whipped cream. They have a TON of specialty omelettes, French toast, and pancakes. I also tried their "Two Eggs Any Style." Their home fries were seasoned perfectly . You really can't go wrong with anything that you choose! I can't wait to go back and I'm excited for you to try their food. Service-their servers made some really great recommendations regarding the dishes that myself and friends wanted to try. She really listened to what we were looking for and tapered her recommendations from there. Parking-parking is limited! I recommend parking on neighboring streets; catching a parking spot in their parking lot is nearly impossible during a rush (that speaks to how amazing their food is!). If you're visiting during the summer months, read the parking parameter signs...they mean it when they say they'll ticket you or tow your car (don't be that shoe-be). Extra- If you're not new here and have seen my other posts, you know I've worked within the service industry for a LONG TIME...their hostess (who appear to also be their servers) are not the strongest. Being conscious of your tone with guests when they call ahead, I feel, is important. Additionally, the hostess gave a inaccurate time for the wait (telling us it'd be 20 minutes and it was 40-45). I'll also say, the day I visited, a fourteen top had taken up a third of the restaurant which contributed to the long wait (what can you do ‍). Lastly, I wouldn't seat a two top at a four top (which could be sat as a 6 top) during a rush brunch time. If you're going on a weekend, be prepared to wait and know that it's totally worth the wait.

    Cronut French toast

Amazing breakfast. Service is quick and attentive they have some great omlet choices and French toast

    Lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes- perfection
    Robin Y.

Definitely one of the best breakfast spots around. I got the lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes which were just insanely good. They had real lemon flavor, perfectly cooked, perfect texture. They weren't overly sweet, and had so much flavor they didn't even need syrup. My husband got this biscuits and gravy Benedict dish with fried chicken and hot honey that he really enjoyed. So many flavors but they all went together perfectly. The menu has a ton of variety and so many unique things that sounded amazing, we had to go back that weekend with the kids to try more. I got the avocado toast. It was huge, fresh and flavorful. My son got an omelette, and my other son got Oreo pancakes that were a little sweet for my taste but he liked them- definitely a kid favorite. Give this place a try, you can't go wrong.

Great food. Long wait! 10 to be seated, 40 for food. Almost not worth the wait. Help wanted sign in window, maybe that explains it?

This time we came to see our friend playing music in the bar area. The bar was crowded for 4:00pm but we found a table which worked well for us. I went to the bar to get my wife and I some beers and the bartender served us right away. I asked if we could get menus for the table and she sent over our server. He was great. He took our order quickly and came back often to the table to see if we wanted anything else. When I read the menu before coming I knew I really wanted to try the tacos. Between my wife and I we got to try 4 types: - Tuna: This was delicious. One of the best tuna tacos I've ever had. They used a nice strip of good tuna meat and seared it with a nice spice blend. - Mahi Mahi (grilled), Mushroom, Shrimp (fried): all were very good The only reason for only four stars was the price for the tacos. Compared to other restaurants that sell tacos they run roughly a dollar more than most establishments. However the quality of the tuna in my opinion does justify the higher price.

My son and wife loved the bacon, blue burger and the surf and turf burger. I got the chicken Parm linguine and I'm thinking maybe I should've got a burger. The "Italian" sauce is way too sweet. I'm thinking too much basil. The chicken didn't taste fresh I guess. I don't know how else to describe it. Our server was super busy, but still did a really good job. Again the burgers and fries are good so I would stick with that or the Pizza or Mexican next time.

The food had a unique and interesting Caribbean flair throughout. Chicken tacos- they were very good with a decent price . It had a very good sauce. Crab quesadilla was ok, but needed a little more seasoning. The flounder Ruben was amazing. The Jamaican me crazy salad, was huge with mango, strawberries and chicken in a tortilla bowl. Almost too healthy. Can't go wrong with chicken tenders- the fries were nice and crispy. The restaurant itself had a nautical decor. It was really tight in the restaurant- almost too small for the amount of people in the place- they do have outdoor seating. Prices were on the higher side, but the amount of food made it feel worth it. My brother said this was the first time in awhile that he couldn't finish a meal.
