Love Coachman Park Even More. Just recently we went to the park for a perfect place for a pup…read moretreat. Parking is free for an hour under the bridge to Clearwater. There is also meter parking on the street. There is construction going on around the park on the outskirts of it The landscaping here is beautiful. Walking path, park, picnic tables, dog friendly lots of green space. They also have the Market Marie here and we recently came for the July 4 fireworks and also when the big huge inflatable rubber ducky came. So many levels of views here with the water and marina in the background. Bay sound is here too where they have concerts. It's a great place and the best place in downtown Clearwater.

A beautiful park that was recently renovated, in the heart of downtown Tampa. The park itself is very clean and nicely laid out with a cool splash pad for children to play in as well as a nice little park with stuff to climb and slide down and around on. I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park!

It's a great place for a casual stroll, a spirited run, a great playground for the kiddies. Or a picnic with 3 different covered areas with tables. A regulation softballl court with a resident Osprey nest watching over the games. A dog park area for running and playing. A wonderful kids area with tons of activities for the kids. There are also high screened courts that may have been for tennis but now maybe pickleball. A nice biking/jogging trail through the park that leads to a continued paved trail beside a tarpon Canal for a good stretch. But the highlight for me was the huge mural on the sidewalk at the entrance by Noelle Jordan Stillwell, Floridian artist. Beautifully drawn Florida Butterñues and Flowers. What a neat way to welcome people into the park. Plenty of parking by entrance. Open Dawn until 9 PM. Check it out.

And ultimately thankful that the city of oldsmar takes as good of care as it does. A nice big playground for kids. A very nice basketball court. A well kept up tennis court and one of the best frisbee gold corsets around. The walking path is second to none. It also has a hidden smaller baseball field and dog park area. Visit this place if you're looking to unwind. It's majestic. It also has a bald eagle nest in one the light poles. Very neat if your into seeing nature at its best.

OK I admit I'm a bit of a couch potato. Most exercise consisted of short walks or swimming in pool…read more Since I retired from the military and my civilian job, I gained about 50 pounds and several inches on waste. I tried several diets with mixed results. Then I was talking with my eldest daughter about my Bucket List, at 77. I casually mention I always wanted to visit Machu Picchu. She looked up some information and talked me into a tour 4/28/25. Now to prepare about 2 months ago I went on the Rice Diet, especially for people with kidney issues. Then in March I started walking in this park. At first I only walked to the end of the park and back, about 5,000 steps from my home. Then I went to adjacent Shefield Park, then up the path along Tarpon Canal almost up to Curlew Road. At the end about 7,000 steps. I am now down almost 30 pounds and 4 inches in waist! The last week or so I have been walking with my 20 pound backpack I'm taking to Peru. Harbor Palms is a wonderful park. Smooth paved paths. Often a cool breeze early in the morning. It has been trimmed and mowed quite a bit for Disc Golf course, but their are plenty of trees and bushes for the wildlife. I regularly see squirrels scampering about, bunnies in the early hours, park is open dawn to dusk. Sparrows, blue jays, robins, ducks, ibis and once a scarlet ibis. Possibly even a mockingbird. My eyes not sharp enough to determine. There is a floating dock on Tarpon Canal for fishing and I have stopped by a couple times to find a gentleman and young boy trying their luck. There is a wonderful old tree that was blown down by a storm and has remained rooted and is blossoming. I call this The Spooky Old Tree in memory of the Bernstein Bears story I read to my kids and grandkids. Another group of smaller trees have intwined their roots close to each other. I call these The Three Sisters. I have met many friendly people in the mornings, taking strolls or walking their dogs. We usually say "Hi!" to each other in passing. It's a magical place where your imagination can roam. And when I return from Peru, I will continue my morning strolls both for the pleasure of communing with my Father and nature. Check it out!
