In addition, the coaches are amazing at what they do. The courts are clay which is very forgiving to my joints. The tennis complex turned into my 2nd home. I play there once or twice a week. I now have 2 of my other children in clinics with Coach Donna and they are loving it! Lori is the most enthusiastic, cheerful, and helpful person and the rest of her staff has been nothing but pleasant and accommodating. The courts and grounds are beautiful and I'm pleased to call this our home for tennis.

However once your in its a very well lot nice place to at. Most players are fairly welcoming on fact there's a meet up group that shows here. Huge following sunday 2-4 and decent following Thursday nights at 7. All in all the green clay courts are nice perhaps not the best but very playable and decently maintained and the hard courts are quite nice no flat spots or cracks. Definitely swing by to see.

Came to Highland rec center for the aquatic area for my daughter's birthday. We signed up for the…read moreafternoon swim that was two hours long. Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

His private coach Mark was outstanding, the PlaySight system for drills was very engaging in the immediacy of feedback on every ball hit, and Nick Bolleteri had a visible presence and engagement with the teens. Our son has great coaches back home and we feel that there is much we can take back home to add to that instruction. It is not inexpensive, but when we consider how many hours of high quality instruction our son received, it is more than worth it.

The brother sister team that run the tennis are great and very friendly. They also have hard courts with a ball machine. The clay courts are in excellent condition. They are watered from an underground system which negates the need to get out a hose and water continually all day. No down time. However, the only drawback to this watering system is the fact it is nearly impossible to slide. The water creates a very tacky surface. But that is a very small critique considering the beautiful setting and great staff. I highly recommend this place if you are on vacation or if you live down there and are considering joining the club. I cannot recommend this place more highly......I loved it.

I've been taking tennis lessons on and…read moreoff over twelve years of my adult life and have had 5 pros for tong term lessons (20-50) in Michigan and Florida (I know you'd think I'd be better than 3.5 by now right?). The Racquet Club of St Pete is now my home court. I have been taking lessons from pro Jasa for 6 months on and off - private, group and mixed doubles strategy. He is a fantastic instructor who I would recommend to anyone who wants to break down their game and learn how to fix it. We are working on more strategy at this point than mechanics, understanding my bad decisions and yes, some lingering mechanic issues. The rest of the pro staff all appear to do a great job and the junior programs are well attended and look like fun. The Club is very laid back, all about tennis and very well run. The food, garden court and swimming pool are all bonuses. Highly recommend for anyone in St. Pete!
