Blossom Lake Park truly is a neighborhood park, sometimes these small parks are called pocket…read moreparks, meaning it's surrounded by residents but still funded by the county. "They're smaller parks, geared more towards walkable and bicycle traffic rather than vehicle traffic. The proximity of this park located right off the Fred E Marquis Pinellas Trail allows it to serve more of the immediate community that surrounds it. Apparently the lake in the park once has a major algae problem and steps were taken to mitigate the problem by installing a fountain for aeration and it was stock with grassy carp to eat the algae, hopefully this will resolve the algae issue and not move the problem further down the road - the catch and release program will ensure the algae problem is addressed and hopefully there won't be an overpopulation of the grassy carp that creates another challenge. What I saw today: Mallard ducks A beautiful lake A blue sky Lots of trees and lush grass Some White Ibis eating bugs A Great Blue-Heron just staring at the water looking majestic People relaxing in the shade Unused playground equipment A couple throwing a football A county worker sitting on a bench under a gazebo No liter (plenty of well maintained trash bins) A basketball court with no kids shooting hoops Lots of people riding bikes or walking the Pinellas Trail I rode my bike twelve miles today - this park was a great discovery...

They had the sand sculptures up and it was amazing. Truly beautiful and incredible to see in person. The beach itself is clean, well kept, and absolutely gorgeous. Parking was not too hard to find and it was reasonably priced, which is always a plus. You can also tell they really cleaned up well after the hurricane. Everything looked great and it was such a nice place to spend the day. I will always recommend this beach.

Paying for parking immediately. Set the tone, especially since there's nothing particularly special about this beach. On top of that, I didn't realize until after I paid for parking that it's not dog friendly, which feels ridiculous for such a wide open public space. Sand, I did venture out for a while and the sound was ultra fine which super annoying. The views are okay and it wasn't crowded which is nice but now I know why. Most of the people I saw were much older and were fully dressed walking on the pathway and not really utilizing the beach. There are so many beaches in Florida. I'm not sure why anyone comes here. Nothing stood out or made us want to stay or really justified all the inconveniences. This beach is just meh and if you're close by ok but definitely not worth going out of your way for.

I love how the boardwalk and trails intertwine with the surrounding nature and then open up once you get towards the lookout tower to give you great views of the surrounding landscape. I also thought that it was cool that the water sometimes flows below you as you walk on the boardwalk. You can stay on the boardwalk the entire time so your feet won't even get dirty. There are other paved and unpaved portions of the park that are away from the lookout tower where the grass is a bit more lush and you can do things like play frisbee or yoga. There are also open air bathrooms which makes it convenient in not having to look for somewhere to go outside the park. One thing I did find odd is that there are no windows on the bathroom. It's just open air so if anyone was walking by the bathroom they could look in on you dropping your number ones and number twos. It was nice to find a park though that had unimpeded access to the water and a great mix of nature so if you're trying to get fit or just relax, this is the park for you.

I've been here twice or three times, since they shoot their fireworks in this water. They are quite nice. This park has many nice open space areas for recreation including a splash pad and baseball diamond. They hold festivals here and most recently their Merry Market Christmas fest which I also went to last year. It's a good space for vendors and food trucks and entertainment to gather. Parking is right beside the park and if it's a big event, it can be a challenge to find parking. It's nice they have this space. I do love Madeira Beach, & this festival and fireworks is great. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 is their Xmas Boat parade in this same location with their market.

If you are looking for more reasons to love Madeira Beach (LOL as if you need anything more than the stellar sunsets and cool local businesses of the whole middle beaches area.) this is certainly one of them. This park is tucked into the inner coastal, turn just before the library and there you are! My only ~words of warning~ are that the speed bumps are BRUTAL. So drive slowly :-) (which you should be anyway) and take it easy.

Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.
