So to be clear, my issue is the service when I arrived and as I was interacting with Mike and I in no way indicated your service was poor. Now your comment stating that I wasn't spoken to "how I would like" implies zero accountability for the customer experience. I would like to have questions answered and be able to discuss the work done on my car as would anyone with the person reviewing it. Your message fails to address that sole issue. Again, best of luck with your philosophy and business approach, as it clearly works for others and not for me. I would just would review, if this is your approach, your Yelp history description where you explain that treating people well is a priority. That must have changed. Original response: I guess the experience depends on who you are and what you're perceived ability to finance you vehicle is by the employees. I am off for parental leave and just in survival mode as one tends to be in the first weeks and was not wearing my executive suite or clothing, so unfortunately no one would not know that I run a small organization. Apparently that determines the service because when I arrived for an estimate, I was excited because this auto shop comes HIGHLY recommended. I was going to spend several thousand dollars to fix a small fender bender and then ask about detailing services. However I will not be engaging with this organization again because I was treated with such indifference that I can't imagine patroning this organization. When I arrived, and was assigned someone to draft the estimate, I approached this staff member, I believe his name was Mike, and asked questions because I had already gotten a quote. He would not look at the other estimate I had and didn't discuss anything with me. I was told that the price will be the same as the other shops and that I should just check my email for his estimate and we can talk then. I left wondering why I came if at places like Waldron Carstar, sat down with me and went point by point and discussed options and advised me as I asked questions BEFORE and AFTER I received their estimate. They treated me like a valued customer and tried to create a work plan that worked for me as a drop in. I went to 3 other shops and got same day estimates. This individuals quote came 12 hours later. Their work is probably great, but their treatment of me as a customer was disappointing given how much work I was intending to pay for. In my opinion, auto service is expensive but the customer service and care shouldn't be optional because that is essentially the only difference from shop to shop since "it's the same price" according to their rep. Fun fact, their quote was the most expensive quote. Go figure lol Update: The response was "I am sorry the estimator did not converse with you the way you would like." Again, customer service appears optional. My response was as follows when the manager referenced their reputation as well: "I actually came because of the reputation, including the fact that I was looking for detailing estimates as well but I never got to that. The owner has effectively stolen my car. And my insurance has already cut the check so now I have to sue for it back. I think the guy working the shop, Tommy, has a substance issue and has spent the check. I took another car in for a small issue and he basically kidnapped me to a bar - I was alone and afraid to say no to his insistence and put myself in any danger. This guy has serious issues. Do not take your car here and do not go to the shop alone if you're a woman.

I don't know much about the area, but I ended up taking my vehicle here in a panic, after getting an estimate elsewhere, and after failing to pass state inspection because of the car's smashed front bumper. Everyone at WFM was immediately helpful. I just showed up (in a panic!) and a few folks came out to take a look at the damage to my front bumper/side door/hood/headlight and to talk me through their initial thoughts on repairs. They also cleaned up the bumper a little and made sure the sharp pieces where it had been smashed weren't exposed. They secured my loose headlight so it wouldn't fall off, until I could take it in for repairs. A couple days later, my partner dropped my car and estimate off at WFM while I was at work. When I picked it up 2.5 weeks later, it looked even better than when I first got it. The bumper, hood, door, and headlight were so meticulously repaired and detailed. Not only that, but the folks at Worcester Foreign Motors totally cleaned the outside and inside of my car as well, free of charge. This could not have been an easy task: the car had been a mess after moving all my stuff and two cats up the coast. It looks like a brand new car now. It was stressful to have the accident so soon after moving, but a blessing to find these folks. I highly recommend WFM to anyone, and I will be taking my car back there in the future.

Mike went above and beyond with communication, both with myself and my insurance company. He even told them that some of the after-market parts they'd put on the appraisal estimate were inadequate and pushed for dealer parts whenever they were the better choice. And - perhaps most important of all - Mike cared about me, my safety, and making sure I was comfortable at all steps of the repair process. He's just "good people." I'll never go anywhere else as long as Able Auto Body is in business. Sometimes a one-man-show really is the best choice in town.

Upon return of my repaired vehicle, the front driver's side headlight stopped working. I called to ask if Best Auto Body would check it out. Mike Hanc, the owner, said they would happily fix it. Most likely the bulb had come loose from its connection. They did that but here's the amazing part of the story. Mike asked if the car could be brought there that day. I said the car was parked at the MBTA commuter rail station and that a set of car keys was available at my house. He went to my house, received the car keys from my neighbor, picked up and returned the car from the MBTA parking lot, returned the keys to my neighbor and fixed the issue. AMAZING.
