I will answer the questions I had before going, as others probably have the same: Is it family friendly? Yes, there were plenty of kids and even a couple babies on site. Its spacious and open air so there is no crowded feel. On the night we went it wasn't overly loud. My kids are usually picky eaters but they devoured their kid's meals and said it was very good. How's the beer? Very good. Branch brews a decent selection of their own beers and ciders which aren't bad at all. Their Cowpath Roadie Stout is particularly good. They also have guest brews from other local breweries. Its self-pour. You get a card to scan at each tap pour whatever you like. This allows you to control portions for samples and try a wider variety The Food? Its pretty good. Their menu isn't as robust as others but it has some good options. The focus on flatbreads. They say their "Goat" is the best, and they are not wrong. Its very good Sports? They have several large TVs and had the Phillies playoffs on. The crowd was very into the game, making for a fun experience. Bathrooms are very clean, single use. Definitely check this place out and don't be afraid to bring kids or a group.

Great, I know it wasn't sitting on a counter for ten minutes somewhere completely forgotten, but if i'm ordering food i'd like to be able to put it into my body as soon as possible. I don't think i've ever had a single problem with any of the staff here, and i've been coming regularly for a few months now. Everybody is super chummy. If they're not chummy, they're cordial, good at making conversation, and keep the good vibes rolling. I've worked in (customer, not food) service myself, and learning how to get along with everyone is a skill that's hard-learned and harder to nail, and 90% of the time the staff nails it consistently. Servers at the bar are attentive, I usually end up with my drink consistently topped off. The aesthetics of the bar are comforting, which is great. Place is decently lit, inviting, warm orange lights that keep you feeling fuzzy and content. At least every wall I saw on the bar portion (not the restaurant portion) had a different sport going on, giving you a lot of variety in terms of what you're looking at. I'm not a sports guy, but i'm glad people who are get the variety. They have trivia night on Wednesdays I believe, and they usually have consistent weekly specials rolling around. Most of the locals aren't the rowdy type, at least as far as i've seen. Definitely not the kind of bar you get into a brawl at, which as far as i'm concerned earns it a confident spot in places I will absolutely be back to.

We ordered 3 different items off the menu: the cheese board, the special flatbread, and the Street Corn tacos. The chicken flatbread was great, as were the tacos. Not a big cheese fan but it was ok. It really needed a sweet spread not just raisins like honey or fig jam. The bad part: Not sure if we needed to explicitly tell a server to spread things out but all three dishes were delivered at the same time. With hot dishes like the flatbread and the tacos we had to push the cheeseboard aside so they did no get cold.

Service was extra fast because of the off hour which was wonderful because I was really hungry. My server was a delight and very friendly. I started with a Spa Day cocktail. It was surprisingly good and very refreshing. Perfect for a hot day. The menu tends to be seasonal and I took advantage of some of the dishes. I started with some fried green tomatoes. So good. It is meant as a shareable starter but honestly who would want to share. I thought the fish tacos would be a good entree. I did not expect the size of the tacos. I admit to having a big mouth but there was no way I could easily bit into the tacos. I was a total mess. LOL. The tacos were filled with a large piece of fish then topped with a cabbage slaw. Yum! I highly recommend. This establishment never disappoints.

The rooftop has hopping and the music was playing. We decided to seat inside on the 2nd floor at a table overlooking the street below. My wife got a lemon drop martini thingy and I got my usual pint of Lager. For an appetizer we got the cheesesteak pirogies. They were very good. For dinner my wife got the chicken cheesesteak vodka sauce on a seeded roll. Yummy! I went to something new for me. I got the chicken pasta entree. It was very good. But, I have to admit... the cheesesteak I raved about during our first visit, should have been my meal again. I just wanted to try something new tonight. Give the Rams a try, it does seam to be a hopping spot for the locals. We saw a lot of folks walking to the restaurant from their homes in town. That was pretty cool. Lots of parking in the lots across the street so parking was not an issue. And it was free.

I've had the fried chicken sandwich which tasted fishy like they used the same batter as the fish and chips or used the same frier oil and it was just a weird taste and very greasy. Had the H&P fries which is bacon and gorgonzola cheese with a Balsamic glaze and the cheese was just the wrong cheese. It's way too heavy flavor for it though there needs to be a vehicle for the bacon and Balsamic but maybe a Swiss would be better. Just way too heavy. The fries themselves are killer and I wanted it to be good but really hard to get through. Again. So close to being good but so far disappointed.

I saw the reviews for The Trapp Door on Yelp and we just had to stop. Having said that - had we not known we had a destination we would have completely driven past. On the outside it's a completely unassuming place that you would think only draws a local crowd as the town bar. Let me tell you.....first appearances are completely deceiving. The Trapp Door is just a magical secret. Ok so maybe it's not a secret to many but I will tell you why it's worth driving to. Philly people - you must come here! NJ people - you too! If you look up the definition of Gastropub - this is it. I've traveled all over the world and tried many who claim to be Gastropubs - this place is the true definition. The service is as friendly as you can get. They make you feel comfortable and as if you were a local and as if you have known them forever. We were 3 guests and as appetizers we had the bone marrow and the duck confit, then had the smoked trout and the Spanish chorizo. The duck, bone marrow and home made smoked trout ( and I'm not necessarily a fish fan) were absolutely amazing. Already dreaming about. Seriously -to write home about. The chorizo was good but average. Then we split a burger - medium rare - and let me tell you - if you are craving a burger - you will fall in love! Cooked exactly as we had requested. They also had homemade condiments. Phenomenal. One of us decided we should order desserts and many times after having such a great meal - I'm apprehensive of ruining it by ordering dessert since sometimes it's not a speciality and leaves you a bit disappointed. Yeah, no. You will just be even more in love. We had the pumpkin crème brûle ( Im over all the pumpkin and was apprehensive however it was spectacular and the pumpkin was true pumpkin - not forced). We also had the ginger apple cobbler - wow! Ginger is just right. The dough was perfectly light and fluffy and crispy. A hard trifecta to master. The beverages and beers do not disappoint and need little introduction. This places deserves a visit. Make your way there even if a bit out of the way. It's worth every single extra mile. You won't be disappointed. We will be back. Thank you to Abby (try the drink named after her. She's just as nice), Taylor, Sue and the chef - Nate Thatcher. Wow!!!! I may have set the bar too high ( no I haven't) so let me lower it - so I'll close with. Yeah go try it. It's ok. He he he he.
