Best bartenders in the history of alcohol !
Jay T.

Happiest place on earth! Best bartenders and the hottest Staff! Pizza is FIRREEEEEEE best in town, not even close! My favorite place to day drink on this planet

Allix H.

So, this place is a ton of fun. We were here on Sunday, and they have so many super cute floaties all over the place. The staff is also very friendly and the grapefruit crushes are pretty tasty. You also have a beautiful view of the water, along with a fire pit etc. it definitely gets crowded on Saturday nights, and so if you prefer a bit more peace and quiet, Sunday is the way to go.

Let me first start by saying this rating is solely based on our very humble experience last night! 8/1/18! We have never been to this place before but wanted to chill somewhere on the water and have some drinks in the sand and play some cornhole. The parking lot was horrible and needed grating. Like horrible, could have lost a car in the pot holes. Inside (well outside) the bar area and lounging area needed to be clean up...ALOT. We played cornhole at the far end and there were still bar towels in the sand. From like when?!?! It's 7pm... The bar at that end was closed and everything at that end looked abandoned. There were more bar towels discarded inside on the dance floor area. The troubling part is no one cared. There were maybe 3 employees visable. There were maybe 10 customers (not including our 4some). So the REAL TALK IS! The bearded Bartender was awesome. Really cool Guy. Made the place a cool place to be for a while. Super friendly. The only reason for 4 stars. We would only go back for him. Otherwise 2 Stars. Liquor and cornhole can happen anywhere. Btw the cornhole boards were busted and the bags were shottttt! It's mid summer. Get your shit together. We still had fun...but for the record if we got to the bar in the future and the bearded guy wasn't there !

Wow I guess I am missing something. Found this place on Google and it was marked Open. Wow, looks like the nuclear disaster was declared. It appeared to be abandoned. Chairs and barstools were laying all over the place. There were rusted Ultra unopened cans on the bar. The ice bins in the bar were all rusting. If the place is still open, dont get a drink with ice. Overall a spooky experience. See my pictures.

Awesome beach bar with great drinks. It surprised me that they literally crushed an orange to make the orange crush (as other bars may just resort to store-bough OJ). Great music, friendly staff. There's a 6-way beer pong table that I was tempted to try but I didn't stay there very long. On Fridays, 4-6pm, there's free tacos! There was also a pig roasting (named Ben, poor Ben), really nailing the beach luau vibe.

Huge fried fish sandwich!
Peter G.

Nothing great to report, but the fried fish sandwich is huge and tastes good. Unlike other places where you bite into a huge fish sandwich that looks like leather, this is actually real, fresh and cooked just right. Flaky on the inside and served on a tasty roll. If you are heading down to the shore, stop by for the food and a view of the bay.

Woody's Dewey Beach - Lump crab cake sandwich! Really good! It lives up to its reputation!

The service was also great, with multiple waitresses checking on us constantly. They treated my pup Griffey famously! He won Dog of the Day and the owner came and said hi. Introduction on Dewey Beach trip:…read more Representing 2023, W is for Woody's. In September 2023, I was on a group beach trip at a house in Dewey Beach a close walk to Woody's. I stayed for 3 nights. The timing of this trip ended up being good for three reasons: 1. Three weeks earlier I had surgery for cancer on Tuesday, 8/15/23. I was not aloud to go in pool, beach, or bathtub for exactly 3 weeks. My community pool's last day for the season was Labor Day Monday, 9/4/23 (2 weeks 6 days after my surgery), which kind of sucked because that kissed going to my community pool the rest of the season or any other pool parties. About a week earlier, my friend convinced me to go on the trip saying there was availability in the house during the Monday to Friday part. Ultimately, I decided to take off work on that Tuesday and worked from the house on Wednesday, but I had a great time on the trip that I decided to extend to Thursday doing the same working at the house. And I was able to fully enjoy the beach on Tuesday, 9/5 exactly 3 weeks later with no issues. As well as the other 2 days to lesser extent as I had work too. 2. DC/Maryland was experiencing an intense September heat wave with temperatures in the upper 90's; so it was great timing to escape to the beach where temps there were still pretty hot as high as low 90's. 3. Most importantly, I met my girlfriend of now 2 years on this trip! We were friends for several months, but then dating started in February 2024. Experience with Woody's: If I hadn't extended my trip into Thursday, I wouldn't have tried Woody's. I was tired of leftovers after Tuesday & Wednesday night; I decided to go to Woody's for dinner. I called in the order, walked over didn't have to wait long, and took back. Friends looked a little jealous. I got the crab cake sandwich with fries. It was an amazing crab cake with great fries. It certainly wasn't a cheap dinner, but it was worth it for a good amount of crab cake with a high quality.

Now we know why it's tough to get a seat; this is quality dining that brings customers back again and again. Ben and Diane (mixologist/hostess respectively) have been the owners for two years. I can't make any judgement about the prior ownership but I can say the current owners have nailed it. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We sat at the bar and from the outset Ben made us feel comfortable and he obviously appreciated us as customers. The cocktails were exceptionally prepared. It's obvious he is not merely a bartender and is proud of the special attention and customized twists given to some very traditional cocktails--Sazerac, Manhattan, cosmo. The cream based crab soup was hearty and the seasoning was well balanced. It was a great start. My partner had the fish special and I had the short ribs as entrees. Both were spectacular. Ben had told us that "if this were going to be your last meal, have the short ribs." It wasn't our last meal but his assessment was accurate. I can't recall having short ribs that just seem to melt in your mouth. We were going to defer on dessert but opted for a variation of a flourless chocolate cake with caramel topping. Served warm it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. It's obvious that Ben and Diane have assembled a team that is as committed to excellence as are the owners. We've already made reservations or our next visit. Can't wait!

We ordered several small plates and shared and eat dish was equally delicious. The service was good and we appreciated Cortland's recommendations. In total we ordered the Brie and naan, Brussel sprouts, burrata salad, and the half order of the beef short ribs. It was perfect for my husband and I to share. It's definitely not a large establishment so making a reservation would be recommended.

She made suggestions, checked back, and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu has a variety to choose from and multiple specials. They only offered one type of soup and I would have liked some additional choices. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They also have happy hour on Sunday The sandwich was a little greasy, but still tasted fine. It was not the chef's fault, since it was grilled and had cheese on it. It was served with potato chips, and I would've preferred a choice instead of chips, but that doesn't seem to be an option. The fish was perfectly cooked and served with fries and coleslaw. My friend said the lobster bisque was delicious. We sat inside since it was a chilly day, but there is an option for outdoor seating. The inside has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Wife doesn't like fish, so she ordered a burger - not something I would typically recommend at a seafood place - but she enjoyed it, said it was well cooked, and tasty. Rockfish bake was excellent, and packed with crab, shrimp and scallops - just wish there was more than two small pieces of actual rockfish. Oyster stew was good - with nicely poached BIG fresh oysters. Would give a 5th star if the quality of side dishes wasn't so poor - garlic mash and risotto were very bland, asparagus was under-seasoned and boring. Service was attentive and very friendly, so not sure what Russ W's issue was - probably because he didn't read the clearly published notation that happy hour is at the bar only, and the rest of his "review" indicates he's likely the kind of guy who makes his own problems.
