Contacted this company with an ant issue. To come out and inspect the issue they required a $150 fee, applicable towards service. They came out, and then ghosted me. I called them and they said that since I sprayed to try and get rid of the ants myself they would have to wait six months before they would treat the home. Didn't ask up front, claimed I ordered the spray off the internet (not the case, purchased locally), and stuck to their line of 'wait six months'. I would imagine most homeowners would attempt to solve an ant issue themselves first, and a quick question on the phone when setting up the inspection appointment would of saved me the inspection fee. Be careful if you consider doing business with them. read more

We live near protected open space, and North Point has been our go-to for rodent control for years. Last year, we upgraded to the monthly service, and we are so happy with the value. Evan and Brian are responsive to the pest issues we used to deal with ourselves, saving us time and frustration. Mosquitoes have been a constant problem in our area -- and I have been their primary target -- but two months ago Evan recommended a pair of traps for our backyard that are pet-safe and have worked an absolute MIRACLE! I am very disappointed with my experience with this company as it came highly recommended by a neighbor. I called the company to schedule an appointment for a wasp infestation under the eaves of my deck. After I described the scenario I was dealing with, the office manager stated the cost would be $275 which I agreed to. When the technician did not show up at the scheduled time, I called the office manager and was advised that a system glitch resulted in the appointment not being added to the calendar (she remembered speaking to me the first time). When the technician came the next day and reviewed the situation, he advised I had two options - he could spray a liquid chemical that could possibly leak thru to the ceiling or he could use a powder. Of course I chose the powder option. He then stated this would require him to climb up a ladder and that the fee for that would be $400! I told him that I had described the scenario to the office manager and the fact that someone could access the eaves using a 6' foot ladder as I had done many times spraying for spiders, and that she quoted the cost at $275. He advised he could fall off the ladder if he was startled, hence the necessary increase in cost. I am not familar with the going rate for dealing with wasps but this seemed pretty pricey given how easy it is to access where the wasps were. But more than that, his "take it or leave it" attitude turned me off from ever dealing with this business again. read more

I called North Point Pest Solutions for a SINGLE service for ants BUT they sent a contract WHICH specified I was agreeing to MONTHLY service UNLESS I told them 30 days IN ADVANCE, DID NOT indicate what the MONTHLY CHARGE would be, INITIATED the 30 days on the scheduled but not certain date of service and had the usual legal disclaimer that the contract would override anything else they told me, even as they tried to do so while I read it back to them. NO CONTRACTOR ever has asked me to sign such a one sided contract and for a single visit, at that. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SIGN WITH THEM. However good their service may be, they will have put you in legal jeopardy. read more

The owner, Carlos, scheduled a very knowledgeable and professional technician, Ulysses, to come within a few days. Ulysses baited and laid traps, and identified entry points along our foundation. Carlos then had the perimeter holes sealed and Ulysses returned over a four week period to check the traps. Each week we received an email and text message reminder the day before an appointment. I called North Point Pest Solutions and they were one of three companies called. I was upset that I had rat(s) in my attic. They responded to my call and scheduled an inspection quickly. They were knowledgeable and, importantly, "honest". The other two companies recommended much more then needed for this problem one was for more than $5000. The owner took time to speak to me and explain and answer my questions. It turned out the rat problem I had was minor and was addressed at the time of inspection. Over many years we have had a problem with periodic visits from ants. They usually wander around the kitchen and master bath. Rarely would we have ant trails unless we left some speck of food in the kitchen missed during clean-up. After one such incident with ants all over our eating utensils we decided it was time to get in a specialist. After checking out reviews, we decided to go with North Point, and we're very glad we did. Katie came out on a timely basis three weeks ago. She explained the issues with getting rid of ants and gave us her proposed plan of action. We hired her on the spot. She probably spent an hour spraying the entire periphery of the house and showed us an ant trail we had never seen marching through our garage. Katie suggested it could take over a week for the ants to stop visiting; however, we stopped having unwanted visitors within three days and haven't seen another ant inside since. We signed up for North Point's bimonthly service to make sure they stay away. Just wish she could do with the deer that enter our yard. read more

I rarely do reviews, but I had to in this case. I've used North Point a few times in the last 7-8 years, each time they came out once and solved the issue at hand. The first visit was in my old house, we had a ant problem one winter and it got back that we called NP. They came out and set traps, and did their thing and thankfully they never returned. My ex husband still lives there and no more ant problem. The second time I used them was also for ants at my work studio. They once again sent someone who inspected the place and set traps. It's been over a year and no more ants at the moment. My third time using NP was last year when we started noticing a lot of spiders popping up in our new place. Carlos came out and inspected the area, moved furniture around to set traps. It's been almost a year and we went from seeing 5-6 huge spiders monthly to seeing maybe 1 small spider the whole year since their visit. As someone who hates spiders this has been a huge relief of stress for me. I appreciate their attentiveness and urgency to the matter, as well as their efficiency at getting it resolved quickly. The receptionist let me know they were busy but would do their best to get me in quickly and they came out within a day or two of my calls. Much appreciated!! Highly recommended!! read more

If you are looking for ceremony & have $500 to waste try these guys. I eventually named my rep, "Walking Eagle" since he was so full of - - - -, he couldn't fly. The inspection was a brief walk around the house, no close look, said he found the 1 rat entry opening. On the 2nd trip I was instructed I had an appointment at 8AM. At 8AM I saw his truck pull away. Then saw a note on the door dated 7:58AM & saying I'm sorry I missed you - what! When I called him & asked what's going on he said he didn't want to wake me up - huh!?! Third trip I pointed out he never looked under the deck. When he did he found 2 more rat entries. 4th trip: asked them to pick his traps & don't come back. P.S. - Lady back at HQ has an attitude. Next pest control outfit found so many openings it took a 2nd trip with an assistant 5 hours to close all the entry areas. Three months later I am now rat free. read more

Never seemed to want to go far to really solve a rodent problem for us. Did just the basics- set some traps and come back each week to see if they caught any. $400 check up front, please. They did not catch one rodent. Had to push and call and ask for them to add traps, to try different bait, to move the traps, etc., etc. No new ideas from them. No sense of urgency to solve the problem. Didn't have enough traps on the truck on the first day either...oh, well, just wait a week and add more then. Wish they acted like they had a stake in solving the problem. They never found where the rodents were entering the house either. Oh well, take your time.....collect your fee, and that is it. They did try when pushed, but they could have been more proactive. read more

We have used North Point Pest Solutions for over a year. We had a mice problem that turned into a rat hotel and these guys are PHENOMENAL! Super quick to respond, they always get someone out right away, they are priced incredibly fair and they fixed the problem. From crawling around in our crawl space to patch entry points, setting traps, moving appliances to check possible entry points - they are just the best. I can't recommend them enough and continue having regular check ups and we are so happy the problem has been solved. Once a couple of years ago to get rid of some carpenter ants, who never returned, and a couple of days ago for two different kinds of ants that recently showed up. When you have a pest emergency, and most of them all, Carlos was quick to respond, heard the desperation in my voice, and Ulises Ramos showed up first thing next morning. Immediately, Ulises ascertained the problem (flying gnats) and the source (water in my landlord's sub terrain) and calmed me down. We set up fans, he stopped my tears, I was instructed to open doors and windows, to cover with plastic the ground level vents, and Ulises spoke with the property manager telling him what to do to stop the nightmare. Guy shows up, I show him all the possible access points rodents got in, he draws a little line drawing of the perimeter of my house, marks the possible entryways and charges me 100 bucks. Oh to do any work? That's another $350 and it may take 5 weeks to get rid of them. So if you want somebody to tell you what you already know and draw a simple layout of the walls in your home and are willing to pay 100 bucks for it call these guys. We had rat problems last year at another home. The landlords called The Hitmen Termite and Pest Control. I wasn't happy with their work at all, the problem dragged for over a month. They don't come when you need. Anyways, avoid The Hitmen! Now we are in a new home, and wanted to try another team. North Point Pest Solutions had good reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. Carlos came exactly on the scheduled time each time. I told him what I had investigated and done. I had caught a rat the night before outside of what I suspected was the entry point. Before I agreed to any plan, he killed that rat and took it away for me at no charge. I opted for the monthly plan: it's a 4 week plan, with them coming once a week to check on the traps. He promised that when a rat got caught between appointments, he'd come reset the trap and take the rat away. He came on a Friday after I emailed on Thursday night, but we didn't make it back home on time, he called to say he was waiting, but I apologized for not being there. He left. To my surprise, he emailed me the next morning to see if I was home, and he actually came back to take care of the problem! He cared and remembered, I was very happy with that. (In contrast, when The Hitmen's trap caught one, they said to leave it there and they'd pick it up at the following appointment. My landlord had to take that one out himself). Every week, 24hrs before the appointment, he'd call to confirm and ask what time worked for me. He was quick on email communications. I'd email him late at night to change the hour, and he always responded promptly. I after 2 weeks, everything was clean and quiet. After the month, he sent a Thank You card. We are 100% satisfied customers. read more

I used this pest control service for years with no problems - then I had to move and rent out my house. The tenant was unreliable and difficult to deal with. After she left, I got another tenant and attempted to resume my service with Northpoint. They very rudely and arbitrarily sent me a text saying that they had had so much trouble with the house that they refused to service my house again. I texted back that I had a new and responsible tenant, but I have not heard from them. I can find another pest control service - that is not the problem - but I do not like the way they handled my request. read more

Rats! Carlos and his assistant Ulysses were both very professional and conscientious. Carlos explained my options, we decided on a plan and they went right to work. They showed me the likely places (four) where the rodents were getting into my home. They placed many traps around my house, being very careful to keep them away from where my dog could get at them. Carlos discovered that the rat had gotten into my home through an opening around the gas pipe behind my oven. He pulled my oven out from the wall and closed off the opening. While he was back there he even swept up the rat droppings and dust bunnies before putting my oven back in place! When a rat was caught, I called Carlos and he came to my house first thing that morning to remove the rat. In the end, it turned out that I only had one very active rat. The day before each scheduled appointment I received a confirmation call. They arrived on time, every time. Carlos and Ulysses were both very careful with my things, my home and my time.
