Located near the massive hotel trio complex of City of Dreams, we decided to venture out for a short 12 minute walk to North Park. But a short walk in Manila with 90% humidity and sun beating down on your skin, turns into an exhausting one.
I refreshed with their lemonade which was quite sour. I liked that they used actual lemons instead of the local lemon called kalamansi, which is much better squeezed over your chow mein instead. The North Park chow mein had canned button mushrooms that I was accustomed to growing up, but seeing this on top of of a restaurant's chow mein version made me laugh!
I really liked my chicken and mushroom congee (with non canned mushrooms!) and anytime you're served soup in the Philippines that comes boiling hot is a huge plus -- it means you probably won't get food poisoning.
Fast service and affordable prices are the positives here. The big portions aren't bad either.
I spent a good hour at the hotel pool after lunch because food coma + exhausting walk = well deserved siesta =) read more
