This local spot serves up some authentic and delicious food from the Philippines. I ordered several dishes but the garlic rice and Patis Wings were by far the best. However, all of the dishes were amazing. The best time to visit is after 2pm if you want to avoid the extremely long wait time. This is a very popular place for both locals and tourists.

I ate a lot of Filipino food while I was in Philippines, but this is the best place for authentic yet with a twist Filipino food! The lines are always long so come early. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the foods but I really like the pancit palabok. Definitely stop at one of the restaurants if you can!

Yelp! review #21 of 2025 Monday July 14 Hands-down, one of the best places I have eaten in Manila. Located on the first floor of the SM Mall of Asia, this business boasts some delicious Filipino comfort food. Believe it or not, sinigang made with watermelon, is just something that blow my mind. And that was only the opener. It has a sweet and tart taste, and the watermelon perfectly replace a tomato. If you are ever in the area, this is a must try. The next item was a beef rib that was deep fried, I don't know the name of it as I did not order. It had a unique taste to it, and the sauce that came with it just blew it out of proportion as far as my taste buds were concerned. Next step was crispy pata. Whatever method they used to make it, they spared no effort. It had the right amount of crisp on the outside and the right amount of tenderness on the inside. If you have never had Mongo with Chicharron, this is another item that you must not pass on. Such a simple dish that has outrageous flavor. Something I had here for the first time ever, was a dish that was a green vegetable mixed in with coconut milk. It translates to waking waking. It has a flavor that I actually missed from my last travels, however, it's not the same dish that I was missing. Regardless craving satisfied! Last but not least, how could I forget or even hold off on telling you about the ube milkshake with tapioca. That was one of the best desserts I've ever had here in the Philippines. Overall, great food, great service and fast service despite the 30 minute wait. A bit too noisy for my taste, but definitely a good trade off based on the quality of the food and price.

Food amazingly good and staff are all very attentive even though evrytime I go there's always lineup but it won't take that long wait. Restaurant ambience clean we were walking around outside while waiting spacious.

Heard about this place and I wanted to try it out with Mom. Waiting time was an hour, but that was okay, we were in no rush. Restaurant was on the exterior of Mall of Asia. Like many places in Asia, space is limited so the waiting area was where you could find a place to wait. The host Grace was friendly and kept her cool considering everyone waiting to be seated are staring at her. Grace kept her patience and positive attitude. I love the fact you could order majority of entrees in small, medium or large potions .Genius and this allowed us to order multiple dishes without a fear of left overs which we rather not take back to our hotel room. We had fresh lumpia: it was okay. Too much wrapper, too little veggies. Also had the watermelon sinigang. Wow! Really surprising dish considering watermelon tends to be on the sweet side and sinigang is supposed to be tart, more of a tamarind flavor profile. It was great and the meat was tender. Great signature dish on their menu. We also tried the Crispy Sisig. This was good. Nothing that stands out, it was good. Host Grace 5/5 Waiters and Servers 4.5/5 Food was 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Overall and experience 4/5. I do recommend and will be back when visiting Manila again. Thank you for an amazing food experience.

This place is always packed, with a line snaking outside most of the time. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too long. The food was great! Service was quick and friendly, and the place had plenty of room to move around, though it did get a bit noisy. If you don't mind waiting, it's totally worth it. Good food, reasonable portions, and prices that won't hurt your wallet!

This Filipino Comfort food is soo delicious... when visiting the Philippines my sister and uncle recommended it... told my husband we had to try it and I absolutely loved it...the ube sago and mango sago drink was yummy... the sinigang with watermelon is soo good but I didn't get the patis (fish sauce) which was odd to me because sinigang is good with fish sauce... I loved it all

Finally, Filipino food at moa. Last time we were here, several years ago, there was Max and kimono Ken and stuff like that. But no Filipino food. We ordered pakbet, sinigang, sisig, and arroz caldo. Being that my wife is Filipina, I know what most of this should taste like. Overall, the food was good. The sinigang was a bit too sour for me, but she liked it. And the arroz caldo was too salty, and not enough ginger. She agreed with me about that. The service was outstanding. They wanted our comments, and we're very concerned if anything was below our expectations. I'd probably go with 3.5 stars, but the service definitely bumps them to four.

We are U.S. expats and were in the Mall of Asia (MOA) as newbies and this place had great ratings so we gave it a try for the first time - you know it is good when locals flood this place and actually wait for a long time. Yes, we waited and I can see why it is popular with the local Filipinos - everything tastes like "lutong bahay" aka home-cooked. It is highly recommended! The service is good also and portions were ok for the price.

Comfort food! My husband found this casual restaurant and loved it so much we ate here twice. The menu is basically an hit list of all the great Filipino dishes, some with a modern twist. They were quite busy and service was not great but for the price, it's definitely great value. Everything we ate was delicious!

Delicious Filipino food! I appreciated the various sizes we could order (small, medium, large) because I wanted to try many different entrees. Service was good and food and drink even better! I surprisingly enjoyed the green beans in coconut sauce, bagoong fried rice, shrimp and tofu sisig. We also ordered oxtail kare kare, garlic angus and crispy palabok (fun to watch them prepare this at your table!) The ube sago drink was perfectly sweet and delicious. I look forward to returning!

I was desperate to try this place out and I wish I tried it sooner in the trip! Pricing was good depending on eBay size you get of the dishes. You can get a small, medium, or large size of the items. I wanted to try a few items so I Got the small with everything which ranged from 250 pesos to 375 pesos. I mainly wanted to go because of The watermelon sinigang and while that was good and different it leaned more on the sweet side which was god but it wouldn't be something I would want to get again. I was not fond of the crispy palabok, I think it was the noodles they used but I would like to try the original palabok there next time. The bangus was extra good and I have no clue why lol the crisp was different than I was used to when cooking at home but the kaldereta was the hit in his meal for me along with the bagoong rice. If you have any shellfish allergies the bagoong is fermented smal shrimp. The ube and buko shakes were so good! I ended up ordering them the day I was leaving because I wanted to have them one more time before I left the Philippines. Servers were excellent as always when in the Philippines and the place was decorated so clean and simple. Also, to give you a heads up it was super air conditioned inside that I had to finish my Halo halo outside lol Our bill ended up being around 2000 pesos which is about $36.00. I think it's a must try place for a unique twist on Filipino food that doesn't completely go completely fusion. It stayed true to taste on many of the dishes but had that twist which didn't completely change the food culture of the dish.

The isaw was too dry and there's no street food feel into it. The batchoy was definitely bland and tasted like water with noodles in it. And lastly, the halo-halo was dry and bland as well. It looks good due to the presentation but the milk that they used seemed cheap and the bowl was not shallow enough to mix the ice. Overall experienced was okey. Soon after we were seated, one of the servers comes to tell us that the meat is no longer Crispy because it has been prepared and finished hours earlier. He offered that they could re-prepare by frying it, but that changes the entire meal from grilled meat to fried meat, so we declined. We expected to skin to be a bit rubbery, but were not prepared for the entire dish to be cold and tepid. Further, the presentation of the dish in all the advertisement photos is of a succulent meat roll surrounding a stuffed center. The actual presentation was far different and lacking any of the juicy stuffing represented in their advertisements. Of course we have grown accustomed to some amount of hype by restaurants, but this time it seemed an intentional misrepresentation with providing an inferior product. Maybe the other dishes on the menu are good, but as the Lechon is their specialty and as our experience was so poor, Hukad will not get the chance to disappoint us again.

Yelp! review #53 of 2025…read more This place turned into the perfect bookend for our Philippines trip in early August! First visit: our very last lunch before flying out of Manila. My wife's brother traveled all the way from the western side of the country just to see us, so the three of us met here. We grabbed a big family-style meal plus flan and a couple other desserts. Everything was fresh, flavorful, generous portions, and exactly the comforting Filipino food we wanted for our send-off. Excellent all around. Later that same day (!), my wife's cousin invited us out for dinner and without knowing our lunch plans, he picked the exact same restaurant. We rolled in again, and the waiter immediately smiled huge and said "Welcome back!" in English. That little moment made our night; felt like family. He went all out and ordered even more dishes for the table, crispy pata, kare-kare, sinigang, grilled items, and everything was just as delicious the second time. Food came out fast, portions are massive, and the prices are honestly a steal for the quality and quantity. They have nice indoor air-conditioned seating and a breezy outdoor area, both clean and comfortable. Staff is genuinely warm, attentive, and on point. Easily one of our favorite meals of the entire trip (and we ate there twice in one day!). Amazing value, fantastic service, and that "welcome back" moment sealed it. Already counting down until we return to Manila just so we can eat here again. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my recent experience at Aristocrat Roxas Blvd completely fell below expectations. At around 11 PM, I was attended by the manager, Agnes. I ordered the caldereta platter, something I've done multiple times across different Aristocrat branches without any issue. However, she refused to serve it to me in a very condescending manner, stating that platters are only for takeout and not allowed for dine-in. This was both confusing and frustrating, as I've personally ordered and dined on platters in their other locations before. When I asked her to clarify the difference between the regular menu and platter menu, she vaguely responded that platters are "more expensive," which felt irrelevant and dismissive. It came across as though she was making assumptions about what I could afford, especially since I had just come from a workout and was in gym attire. Instead of being treated like a valued, long-time customer, I felt judged and unwelcome. Rather than continue the conversation, I chose to leave. I ended up dining at Max's Restaurant across the street, where I was treated with respect and professionalism--something that was clearly lacking in this experience. Very disappointing, especially from a brand I've supported for years. I hope management addresses this inconsistency in policy and, more importantly, trains staff to treat all customers with dignity regardless of appearance.
