Liked - friendly attentive service - roasted pork dish - stewed beef dish - eggplant dish - adobo rice Did not like - chicken adobo dish: not enough flavor and meat not marinated Fun to hear and see waiters dance and sign. Fun atmosphere and good food. Looks very dated inside.

Stopped by for a Valentine's Day Lunch. Lunch has two distinct advantages: 1. Lunch is not as busy at the restaurant; 2. Traffic in Makati is also not as busy at lunchtime. Yes, they have singing waiters, but they didn't sing at the tables. And they switched out every couple of songs. It's an enjoyable environment. We ordered 4 dishes so that we'd have enough take home for dinner. 1. Tortang Talong: nice eggplant dish & the serving was large; 2. Lumpiang Shanghai: a favorite Filipino dish - - tasty; 3. Crispy Fried Chicken: a nice surprise was that with the battered chicken was the inclusion of battered banana - - good chicken & bananas; 4. Baked Tahong: baked mussels with cheese, garlic, & butter - - good mussels. Nothing was overly salty. It brought me back to the 1980's when Roxas Blvd. had a lot of similar restaurants and before the Philippines became overrun with fast food . . . I miss the traditional food and the wonderful entertainment that Barrio Fiesta offers. It a nice time. Enjoy.

The singing waiters experience was very fun, energetic, genuine, interactive, exciting, and memorable! All the food dishes were fantastic as well. Lumpiang Shanghai, Bangus, and Kaldereta are to name a few. The presentation of the food was also nice, especially for the soup! Seeing the banana leaves made me want to eat with my hands like at a boodle feast! (October 2017)

This place was recommended by the taxi driver yesterday for good Fillipino food in my neighborhood. Thee pancit was flavorful and hot. All the dishes cam out hot. The garlic fried chicken was flavorful but a little dry. The fried pork belly was surprising very lean, but not dried out. And the limpia shanghai was spot on. Meaty and flavorful. I think the highlite of the evening was the waiters singing and engaging with the customers. I'll be back, maybe tomorrow night?

Excellent customer service with delicious meals and plenty of options on their menu. This is our second time dining at Locavore but first time at Brixton Street in Estancia location. Customer service at Brixton Street, Estancia is consistent with the BGC location. The staff is also very well versed with food allergies. The staff was great every step of the way from seating, to ordering, to delivering our orders on a timely manner and until the very end. Our party of 11 ordered 2 of everything like to name a few of what we ordered are, Pakbet Ratatouille, Octadobo, Oyster Palabok sa Puti, Tapsilog, Boneless Lechon Belly, Dragonfruit chips and many more. We look forward to dining at Locavore every time we visit Philippines. Locavore both provided delicious food and excellent customer service.

I'd been wanting to try Filipino food, and this place came highly recommended by some locals. The food was incredible. I tried the sizzling sinigang, and it completely surprised me. The flavor was sour, savory, and comforting all at once. I also had the oyster sisig, which was crispy, rich, and perfect with a cold San Miguel beer. Every dish came out hot and well-presented. The restaurant itself has a great vibe!!! lively but not too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since I wasn't too familiar with Filipino dishes. They explained what everything was and even suggested a few must-tries. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Philippines. And I'll definitely come back next time!

For a place that was so busy, surprisingly, it wasn't too noisy and we were able to carry out a conversation. The staff was very attentive, and it seemed like we had multiple people serving us Like most groups, we dined family style. We shared everything that we ordered and every dish was scrumptious. Three of us reside overseas so we were all looking frward to authentic Filipino foods. This place rose to the occasion. The standout was the fish that was filleted and deep-fried, and spread out like a butterfly so it was easy to take a piece off. The fish was cooked perfectly, that is, it wasn't overcooked like most fried fish dishes would be. All of us asked for fresh buko (coconut) juice servied in a whole coconut. However, the coconut was no longer young coconut that usually has soft meat that we can spoon up. instead, it was more "niyog" or mature coconut that needed to be cut up which the staff did for us.

The portion was moderate and it can feed 2 people. It was hot and crunchy and the sauce was pretty good. The pinakbet with pork liempo was awesome, please keep in mind that pinakbet in some regions are cooked without the sabaw (sauce). The eggplant was definitely fried. The bitter melon and the kombucha squash were steamed well. The pork was super crunchy!!! Please also note that one order of pinakbet will probably good for 2 people but I can definitely devour it on my own! The kare kare with crispy pork was also good. The sauce was slurry and not too thick. The string beans, banana heart (puso ng saging) and bok choy were steamed and cooked well. They were not soggy but crunchy. Also the eggplant was fried and added with the sauce. When you order kare kare it automatically comes with sautéed shrimp paste. This dish alone will probably feed 4 people. Overall the service was great, we did not wait long for the food, and we were seated right away since we arrived there around 11:45ish. The restaurant was clean and quite cozy. There's one bathroom for both genders. Total of all the meals including 1 sugarcane calamansi juice refill P1745.00 (also includes gratuity charges).
