I tried the Chicken Parmesan, the stand out meal. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy, the flavors are balanced, and it tastes like a classic done right. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the chicken was cooked beautifully. The rigatoni was slightly firm, but made the pasta lover in me happy. I had a vodka mixed drink from the menu. I do t remember the name, but it was good and strong. Added on the charcuterie for $24. It definitely wasn't worth it. But I liked the sweet cheese and the pickled veggies. Couldn't tell you the specifics. Started off with the meatball. It was really good. Happy it came with a lot of meat. The polenta was perfect to cut through the heaviness from the meat. I would get this again. Then the spicy sausage pasta. Our waiter emphasized spicy. But I guess I didn't catch his implication it was SPICY. It wasn't that good kind of spicy. Not a lot of sausage in it. Just spice and pasta. The pasta was a little underdone for me. Ended with the bombolini de guayaba. My favorite part of the meal. I'd literally only come back for this. It was hot, fresh, soft and so perfect with the guava. The place is a bit overwhelming in my opinion. Loud music, TV's stealing your attention and people talking loud enough to make their voices heard amidst the chaos. However, other people (like my family) may like this kind of atmosphere. We come here quite often and the truffle butter bread is always a must have. Zucchini chips are very crispy and the pesto aioli is really good. I love dipping the remainder bread with the aioli. The pesto pasta is great, it has a nice hint of lime to it and the crunch of the pine nuts goes very well. Spicy vodka pasta does have a slight kick which is excellent and the pasta is always cooked on point. The branzino does its job if you are not looking to have pasta but it's nothing very special. As a Brickell local, I had high hopes for North Italia, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short. The food is mediocre at best, especially for a restaurant that markets itself as Italian. What's worse is the culture and service. On multiple visits, I attempted to sit at the bar and was inexplicably refused service. On one occasion, a blonde bartender made me feel singled out and unwelcome, and her behavior raised serious concerns for me about potential bias. I left feeling deeply uncomfortable and disrespected. This was not a one-time incident, and I intend to escalate this issue to corporate. Brickell has many incredible dining options--and I will not be returning to North Italia again. read more

Friday night, about 9pm, quite busy, 30 minute wait to sit outside which is bustling with foot traffic and great people watching opportunities, but indoor seating was only a five minute wait. We sat inside. The ambiance was nice, dark, noisy, good music. We were famished - very hungry - hadn't eaten a meal all day because we'd flown from Reno, NV. We ordered an appetizer , the zucchini chips - Zucca Chips, and they were the best we've ever had anywhere, absolutely delicious. Very thinly sliced, seasoned perfectly, no ranch dressing or sauce needed. We gobbled them down and could have eaten another serving or two even though the portion was generous. Our server was Victoria and she was awesome. For our entree we shared The Pig pizza which had several pork meats on it (plenty of protein) including small pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, and I think bacon. It was tasty and a bit spicy for us. We ate it all but wouldn't put it on our top ten list of best pizzas. We shared a large glass of white moscato asti wine which was delicious. read more

The FUNGHI - mushroom pizza made with smoked mozzarella - why would a vegetarian want to eat smoked mozzarella that tastes like pork??? bad pairing! Cacio e Pepe - made with pecorino romano fonduta so a fondue style liquid cheese, there was hardly any mozzarella, was disgusting and inedible! I've never had a bad pizza before. The passion fruit margarita had too much ice. I've dined in this restaurant before so I know it's a solid place, but the menu options are lacking at the moment, there's only one vegetarian pasta option. So it pains me to rate is 3 stars. North Italia is an excellent option to enjoy Italian fare, drinks and people watch in Brickell. That's exactly what me and my friends did on New Year's Eve when we visited. I had only ever tried North Italia for takeout before and so it was nice to be able to experience in real life. Our server- Nico I believe was his name- was super nice. We started with cocktails and I did enjoy my espresso martini. Then the three of us split a meatball pizza, simple salad, and tuna crudo. All of them were great but I loved the simple salad. It's topped with either blue cheese or gorgonzola which is the perfect balance to all the freshness. We also enjoyed some bottles of wine- they have a well priced Sauvignon Blanc. Would definitely visit again. The outdoor seating area is very dog friendly and they have a pretty large bar that spans to the outdoor area as well. read more

The service at North Italia has gone down the tubes. My friend and I went there on Monday night, sat outside, and experienced long waits for everything. The wait staff blamed the kitchen for things being slow, but there were also issues with the water (which was totally within the wait staff's control). The long delays and constantly having to flag down our waiter (in a restaurant which was only at maybe half capacity) was very frustrating. I must note that the Bolognese was delicious. The quality of the food and the amazing location are what kept me from leaving a one star. read more

We had a scallop Parmesan risotto and a squid ink pasta that were both great but what absolutely blew our minds was their white truffle bread and the deserts were heavenly. Lively Saturday evening in Brickell; we were seated right away outdoors. We tried a summer Cosmo cocktail which was sweet and tangy, around $15. The pasta dishes were solid. The spicy rigatoni vodka was probably the best dish, followed by the squid ink tonnarelli. For a lighter fare, the seasonal vegetable salad was delicious with dollops of goat cheese, sweet corn, asparagus, avocado and broccolini tossed together with herb vinaigrette. We took off some stars for the long wait time and the way it was handled. Our drinks came after 20 minutes, and our food took 45 minutes. Our waiter was very kind and said he spoke to the manager about our food; the manager came by to apologize. At the end of the meal, a member of our party asked if our drinks (1 coors light and 1 cocktail) could be on the house but this was refused. We were offered a free dessert instead but by that time we were ready to leave. I think it was reasonable to ask for those drinks complimentary and it was a little rude this request was not honored. read more
