North Fork Beer Cheese Dip - Small About 1/4th cup of beer cheese. So VERY SMALL. Does not taste like beer.
Chelsea R.

Food was okay. We got the small beer cheese app which didn't taste like beer at all and was about 1/4th a cup. We also got the pizza which was very...sad. Sour beer was like eating a warhead. Really wanted to like the spot from all the reviews, but it wasn't for us.

$40.76 18" Half The Monster Pizza & 2nd Half Your Choice

Our visit this time was not the best. The food was underwhelming and the price was ouch. The salad dressing on the greek salad was not a traditional greek dressing, it tasted like yogurt? It was a bit strange. The rest of the ingredients tasted nice and fresh. We tried the homemade soup, tomato basil. It tastes too much like pizza sauce ‍. Our pizza was just OK, which I usually love. We ordered a large half and half and I realized we pay the price of the more expensive pizza but it was over $40. Im not sure why. It was a bit of price shock (still getting over it). The large monster is $38 something so Im having a hard time getting to $40.76 (we had 1/2 monster, 1/2 bbq chicken). I love the crust but didn't like the Monster and and bbq had too little chicken on it. We had peanut butter pie just for a new dessert to try and it was not at all what I expected. Its a very thick peanut butter filling... it needed something to tone it down. We ordered whip on top (should have came on it imho) and we still needed something to take away a bit of the richness so ordered a scoop of ice cream. Needless to say it became a very expensive piece of pie. The waitress was kind and we really do like the charm of this county place but our food and the price will be haunting us for awhile.

The pizza here was amazing! My husband loved his beer as well. It's in the middle of nowhere and a great stop on the way back from Canada. It's a very small place and definitely is a bar atmosphere. The service was just okay but the food made up for it. It was a very good three meat pizza. Reasonably priced too

Table for 5

Busy Sunday, waited about 20 minutes for a table for 5. Service was good not over the top and that is ok. Ordered a large meat and a smaller pepperoni. It tasted good, was served nice and hot but lacked meat. The roasted whole garlic cloves was interesting and a nice touch. Beer was good, could have been served a little colder for my personal taste. Seated by the bar it was loud but entertaining. Couple flys taunting us during our meal.

Back in the day - notice no cheap greasy cheese!!

What Happened?!?! I used to tout North Fork pizza as the best IN THE WORLD!! The last 3 times we have eaten there, our pizza has been a soggy, cheesy mess. (We were hoping that the regular chef was on vacation so we kept trying). This time we even ordered it crispy to see if it would dry it out at all. Nope. Even our waitress commented that it wasn't crispy and went back to make sure she had written "crispy" on our order. She said the cooks thought he could "crisp it up a bit" but it was already cut and we had pulled a couple of slices out. The cheese drowned out the other toppings - so very sad. One of the reasons that we have LOVED North Fork pizza over the years (we've been regulars since 1998 and always get the House Combination, add fresh tomatoes) is the crispy crust, quality toppings, and no cheap gooey Dominos type cheese. You can compare this current pizza to my previous North Fork pizza photos. There is hardly any cheese on the previous ones. It was PERFECT! We used to always bring our out of town friends and family here. Did the new cook come from Pizza Hut? Dominos? Chuck E Cheese?? Please stop with the copious greasy cheese!!! Yuck! Thankfully, the beer is still good. That why it gets 3 stars.

Shrimp scampi pizza

WOW! What an amazing spot for post-hiking munchies. We stopped here for just a drink, but once we smelled the pizza come out we couldn't help ourselves and got the daily special (shrimp scampi pizza). The drinks were solid (especially the Johnny Red Eyes), and the pizza was absolutely delicious. We also loved the atmosphere of the place. It seemed like all of the staff members liked to joke with one another and got along very well. We also enjoyed that the servers seemed to know the locals very well. Highly recommend this place for a cozy bite-to-eat and/or some brews!

Angie makes this place shine like a diamond!!! The food is breathtaking but she makes the experience perfect, we wait sometimes to sit at the bar just to be close to her!!! She needs a raise and a high five for spectacular service

I really want to like this truck, because the world needs more pizza trucks. But when someone…read moregoes, this pizza is so bad you've got to try it... well. So here goes. The crust is correct for the style they are making and it comes out of the oven crispy. The cheese tastes of poor quality and presents partially melted like they used low quality prebagged shredded , which is kinda messed up considering the price point and the size of the slice. The sauce... is a culinary war crime. I've never had a slice of pizza make me mad before, so there is that.

Their pizza was good, but I'm not returning here. I'm not comfortable with the way how they handle…read morefood. They bake pizza first, and reheat the slices as orders come in. When they pull apart the slices, they grab them and they do so with bare hands. Also, the same guy was checking the temperature of a pizza (I think) with the back of his hand. His hand was touching the pizza. Since they reheat the slices, the pathogens will probably die (at least some of them), but I just don't feel comfortable as they touch the food with bare hands too much. I don't know if it's a code violation. Even if it's not, I don't feel comfortable personally. I can only imagine how they make the pizza behind the scene. ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. We did a last minute trip to Orcas Island and have heard of this place, but reservations for…read moreSaturday dinner were obviously completely gone when we tried looking 2 days before. We decided to walk-in as the website mentions bar and outdoor seating are first come first served so we were optimistic. However, when we showed up right at 4pm, the bar seats are all taken (only 4-5 seats, 2 parties at a time) and so we got put into a 2 hr 10 min waitlist for next seating, as they don't do outdoors in October (but the weather is so nice... and nowhere on the website mentioned no outdoor seating after summer). But this kind of worked out on our part as we didn't actually want to eat at 4pm. We got the Houlme Dog, MRF pizza with Norcino salami, an orange wine, and dessert (only option is rotating daily - we got brown butter ice cream with grilled chocolate). The Houlme Dog is a fun, casual meets fine dining hot dog with crispy potato and kale and caramelized onion jam. It's good but definitely nowhere near $16. It's just a fun way to enjoy a hot dog with play on textures MRF pizza was a green pizza - it's a kale sauce so it's quite interesting while the others were either red sauce or a white pizza as in olive oil base. The salami add-on was $7 but worthwhile as it definitely made the pizza much more filling and perfect to share for 2 people The dessert is pretty good, a bit simple on presentation but the flavors win. The grilled chocolate had a little bit of smoky flavor to it, and the ice cream itself has a nice small bit of savory, kind of like a salted caramel Their wines are good but expensive, but they were willing to split 1 glass into 2 For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a little more on service. When we arrived back 2 hrs later, we made eye contact a few times with the host/server but they kind of ignored us and took their sweet time doing other stuff than checking us in. I feel like they could've been more efficient seating tables as during our dining, which is around 6pm which should be prime time, they somehow failed to fill the other bar seats the whole duration of our ~2 hr meal, despite overhearing that 5 parties were in the waitlist and someone coming at 6pm would probably not have luck getting seated for the night. Also, when we finished the water jug, they took it away to fill a bunch of them but they never sent a full jug back to us. Even bigger miss was when I finished my water cup and a little loudly placed my cup on the counter and the server saw me, but they still missed the memo to give us water until I had to finally ask. All these little details should be expected as a bare minimum for such a nice restaurant. I had to take off a star for this, despite a strong 5 stars on food

Good: - The Summer Things salad! So yummy…read more- pizza Meh: - the other two salad dishes - carrot dish (it was good but be so fr, I wouldn't pay that much for 3 grilled carrots with yogurt) - Houlme dog (it just tastes like a regular Costco hotdog...with some seaweed on top...) Probably don't come here if you have a big party or are in a rush, since they won't let you order some of their meat dishes.
