I'm writing this because today's interaction with Atlantic Security was so unprofessional that it…read moregenuinely shocked me. Months ago, I called Atlantic for a quote on a system. I decided to keep researching, because unlike many customers, I don't jump into expensive security decisions blindly. After doing extensive research, I determined that the DSC NEO system was the right fit for me. I contacted Atlantic Security again and requested a quote specifically for the NEO. The quote came back at over $5,000, which was unnecessarily high, so I declined politely. A few months later, I purchased the DSC NEO directly from Tyco Integrated / Johnson Controls--the manufacturer. Today, I called Atlantic Security to inquire about installation and monitoring. Instead of receiving normal customer service, I was spoken to with a snarky, condescending attitude by a representative named Laina. She told me they were "not interested in doing business with me" and that I had "wasted their time multiple times." This is completely unacceptable. Comparing prices, researching equipment, and ensuring I make the right decision on a multi-thousand-dollar security system is not "wasting time." That is called being a smart consumer. These are major decisions--not impulse purchases. Here's the part Atlantic clearly didn't bother to consider: My father's company is a major corporation with multiple homes, buildings, and commercial sites--every one of which is secured and monitored. He is one of Atlantic Security's largest clients. In addition: I personally own a large technology company, and the amount of future business Atlantic could have received from me alone is something they clearly can't even begin to fathom. Because of the disrespect I experienced from one representative, Atlantic Security has now jeopardized--and likely completely lost--two major long-term clients representing a massive amount of revenue. All because of one employee who chose to speak to a customer with rudeness, attitude, and zero professionalism. I will be filing a formal BBB complaint. At minimum, Atlantic Security needs to retrain or reassign Laina, because speaking to paying clients or potential clients that way is unacceptable in any industry--let alone the security industry. Congratulations, Atlantic Security. In a single phone call, you managed to lose a tremendous amount of business from two extremely large companies

They said they didn't know how to stop it either and everyone had gone home for the day so we would just have to wait until tomorrow morning until someone came into the office to figure out how to turn it off. I asked if they had a cell number for someone in service that could wak me thru how to disable it. They said no they are just a remote monitoring company and don't know how the system works and they have no way of contacting anyone at AP Systems. The alarm went off for about an hour waking neighbors and completing freaking out our dogs. I was finally able to figure out how to disable it and was amazed at how easy it was. It was very puzzling that a monitoring center would not have been able to tell me what do to. We cant be the first home in Florida struck by lightning. So we paid for 6 years and the one time we need help, they could'nt give it. We are moving to a local company that owns their own monitoring operations that can handle issue when they occur.

They told me yes and would purchase the same make and model cameras to complete the system. At that time, they made no representations as to the quality or functionality of the already installed cameras. They never advised me that they had any concerns about the existing equipment or that it would impact their decision to stand behind their work. Had I been advised up front that these cameras were outdated/discontinued and not fully functional, I would never have proceeded with the project. After the new cameras were installed, the technicians determined that the system would never be fully functional. They began blaming the outdated/discontinued cameras. When I asked the technician whether I would receive a refund, I was told to call the office. My daughter spoke to Beverly who represented herself as the owner of the company. She was highly unprofessional. She placed blamed on everyone but AP Systems. She said the fault lay with me for asking whether the existing equipment could be used, my daughter for not being present during the initial meeting and because a discontinued camera model was used. She also blamed me for not charging the wireless camera batteries (quite difficult for someone in their mid 90's with mobility issues). I now know that wireless cameras are not a good fit someone my age and condition. When my daughter asked Beverly why AP Systems would use and install additional substandard equipment, she responded... "what should I have done....walk away from the job"? My daughter said yes, if it meant using discontinued cameras that would not function as needed. She told my daughter the company performed exactly as the customer wanted. Can you imagine anyone asking for a security system that did not work. Beverly told her that AP Systems is unwilling to take any responsibility and will not refund any portion of the $760 paid. It is my view that AP Systems took unfair advantage of an elderly uninformed customer. I relied on their expertise to provide a fully functional system.

Its not even smooth surfaces he said they dont do sanding .... i HAVE to retexture my wall myself Fine i get it but the guy who cut holes in our walls 2 yrs ago to instal caneras did a better mudding/fill job than this guy. Ill be going through all camera footage as ive already seen he's hit my wall with our metal ladder too many times to count yesterday and now i get to finish and fix his poor filling job on ALL cut outs in my home MYSELF. Ill post videos if i can when i download them. It was excuse after excuse on MULTIPLE THINGS. Pitiful and yes my husband agrees! I atleast was taught how to use mud fill it and SMOOTH it out . Scott said they only do rough patch no sanding but all other customers are happy with it.... really??? I highly doub it!.... i hope his wife would be happy with this final product in THEIER home if they wer3 just a customer because its not GOOD BUSINESS and now we are telling our neighbors not to use them! Nice guy at 1st til confronted but very very condiscending today and knew he was but so glad i have it on audio from my hall camera. nobody would be happy with this so called fill in the holes and cracks. My husband has severe back problems and dr visits and cant be home 100% of tge time besies im not dumb or new to patchwork as we had to when we sold our old home and yes I A FEMALE DID IT! Needless to say we waited to see if he would do better yesterday or but Today it got worse. This is the "owner" lol thats pitiful and NOT WORTH OVER 1600 when im gonna spend even more to fix it what he shoould have done because noe even holes or screws are fully covered still indents around his cut outs and the filler isnt smooth at all and then texture it again myselfi can do that!! Very very disappointed!!!!.... im glad i have cameras in and outside my home GARAGE INCLUDED These pictures are from the 3 total visits hes made and WE WILL NOT ALLOW A 4TH!!!....sure things work but I mean for 1600 plus no i should not have to do this bull myself. If my husbands back wasn't so messed up and dr appointments and physical therapy and chiropractor he'd be here the whole time every time. I do have a few pictures as well text message wise to show other inconsistent information. His "clean-up " is a joke he got mud all over the picture I has specifically made by an artist of our deceased cat for my husband and the only thing that looks good is my daughters chandelier in her room but we found mud on it too now. Its poor service on the tail end and im WAITING on the desk faceplate that will hopefully be given to me as its already paid for as we paid Scott in full now. Yup gotta wait for drake customer service and blah blah blah. Look we all have real life problems but there are so many in consistency with what he said yesterday and today . I see why only 17 reviews and very little reviews elsewhere now. Its ridiculous! Scott set the price added on more fine I get that BUT if I knew my walls and all the holes would look like this when finished ummmmmm no. There's no way other people can be happy with this type of "rough patchwork " id like to see those pics. So if you have a simple project they might be ok if its more than a light then PAY THE EXTRA $$$ . I really dont care what his responses are as i have proof of poor execution and im not a young dumb woman or anything. I was an army brat im not incapable of doing things. A blind person could have done this patchwork better than he did! No i dont want Scott back in my home EVER. I feel sorry for people who hire him and HOPE they see this and my pictures! Good luck everyone just pay the extra $!!! highly highly do NOT recomend ! I'll add more pictures today!

Their first available appointment was a week out, probably because they are the ONLY electricians that actually answer the phone or return phone calls. Two gentlemen came out to my house and spent an hour or so checking each point in the current until they were able to identify the issue and fixed it quickly once located. All in all came out to about $100/HR. Both electricians were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and honest. I would use them again for sure.
