Although Richard's quote wasn't initially the lowest, his vision aligned closely with mine from the beginning. He collaborated with me and improved on my initial design, always focused on enhancing the final result. He also suggested practical ways to manage costs--like having me purchase certain furnishings--without compromising the quality or look I wanted thus providing a finished product well below every other quote I was provided by others. Admittedly the project was unique as a hidden speakeasy, but he approached it as something fun and unique. In the end, I can't imagine any of the other builders delivering the same level of craftsmanship and commitment to the original vision that Richard did.
