Background: Needed to have 3 outdoor outlets installed but the wires had no power so I did a look up for electricians in Fleming Island and found QUICK ELECTRIC SERVICE. I prefer to use small, local businesses as much as possible and this family owned and operated company, just down the street from my house was perfect. Razvan and his son Nicholas were right on time, polite and knowledgeable. Called on Friday to set an appt. and they had availability at 1030 on Monday. After some small discussion on what I was intending to use the plugs for e.g. one will be plugged in full time for my Goldfish pond waterfall. They made a recommendation and traced the old wires getting nice outdoor weather proof outlets on their own 15 and 20 Amp circuits installed within an hour or so after a quick trip to Home Depot to make sure what they installed matched everything else. Small example of how I could see how much price they take in their work to go and get matching stuff rather than throw in whatever they had in the van. Once that was finished I asked if they could take a look at my daughter's room because one switched controlled the power to ALL of her wall outlets and the fan. Razvan identified multiple issues and troubleshot everything while Nicholas explained what he was doing and how this or that worked. They went well above and beyond as this ended up requiring a rewire of the switch, a wall outlet AND the entire ceiling fan to get it all working on a new two switch light switch. Raz and Paul are awesome! They are very professional and knowledgeable! I called Raz on Saturday morning because a portion of my house lost electricity. He prompty came an hour later, quickly found the problem. My house was built in the 60s, so it's very complicated to navigate the electric system, but Raz quickly identified the issues and fixed. While at it, Raz suggested upgrading our panel. We have an 100A line with a really small main panel, and the subpanel used fuse!! We hired Raz to upgrade both of them to 200A, with permit. Everything goes perfectly. During the work, he faced some difficulties (because the old system had some strange setup), but he helped us find a solution and even saved us some money! His work on the panel is beautiful. He paid attention to small details, even built a compartment for the subpanel "just because it looks nice" for free! Razvan at Quick Electric we believed offered high quality service for our entire household rewiring. He performed quality work with minimal damage to our household walls to rewire the entire house to modern wires and ensuring everything was grounded.. The entire project took 4 weeks, and we paid per point (i.e. a light, a switch or an outlet). The entire project was slightly higher than our estimates, but we felt the work was quality. Since we've hired Razvan to install our electric vehicle charging unit (1k). We recently hired Razvan to install lights and switches. I would not recommend the point system for smaller jobs. We paid $600 for 6 points. Unfortunately, Razvan couldn't complete the project due to a defective light and a switch was not compatible (with an outlet he previously installed). We paid in advance, so it's unfortunate that Razvan wouldn't come back to complete the project without receiving an additional $250. We hired a new electrician to complete the project. The new electrician discovered light switches that were not grounded properly. Based on the discovery and recent experience I would not recommend Quick Electric. Note, the new electrician charged $250 for 6 items (complete in 2 hours). read more

I am having one of the worst times in my life thanks to Quick Electric Service. Mr Panescu (the owner of this business) convinced my husband that my house was in urgent need of rewiring. And now our lives are a burning hell. I am literally at the point where I am considering hiring a good lawyer and pushing for legal ways to get my project completed. It has been almost 3 months since the start of the project, but it is not finished, yet. Moreover, we could not get even an approximate completion date. We also have no idea how much more it will cost since we do not have a complete and detailed quote for everything that needs to be done. On top of this uncertainty with dates and costs, at this time we are not even sure that everything already done is up to code. We had some disagreements with Mr Panescu about code requirements which left us with a feeling that his knowledge of electrical codes (NEC and CEC) and local regulations could use some freshening up and a bit of polishing. I might call for a special inspection just to have a peace of mind. I also found Mr Panescu to be a bit too pushy when it comes to extras and convenience features not required by state or local codes, laws, and regulations. I grew very tired of explaining that there is no need or budget for some of them. With Quick Electric Service rates every little thing adds hundreds of dollars to the cost of a project. Overall, this is a highly expensive and traumatising experience that brought a lot of worry and disruption to the lives of my family. I would not recommend this service to anyone. To make this review fully honest I need to mention that I was very pleased with the minimal damage done to my walls. Mr Panescu indeed did his best to minimise required patching. So I think I have a small electric issue in my kitchen with the power going to my garbage disposal inSink Erator. Not sure what the issue is, i can hear the power going to the disposal unit in terms of the motor buzzing but not turning. Its a new aerator as the kitchen was recently remodeled. None-the-less for the peace of mind, i just wanted the electrics checked and will pay for the services obviously. Guy on the phone went on to grill me on the technicalities and came to the conclusion its the disposal unit that is bad and rounded up by saying they are not in the business of fixing aerators but only seeing power supply.....All i wanted is to just get the connection checked anyway! Raz and Paul were an awesome team. My husband called Raz about two weeks ago after we finally figured out the process of how to get a panel upgrade. Basically we had to get PGE to assess the case first and contacted a couple of electricians to get a quote based on PGE's description. One of them quoted ridiculously high and a couple others never replied. Two came to check it out and said they won't be available until December or next year. When we came across Quick Electric, we regretted for not finding their page earlier. Raz was able to come check out the panel a couple days after we contacted him, and instantly gave a reasonable quote and delivered us a contract in a week after talking with PGE directly. We were filing out the city permit application and he even helped us with some of the sections. He was able to squeeze our work in between his jobs and we just got the panel upgrade done today! It took Raz and Paul about 7 hours to install and test everything. Both the City inspector and PGE were here on time around 3:30pm so we were able to reconnect the power right away. From 70amp to 200amp was like a breeze. The whole process was so smooth and Raz was delivering above and beyond our expectations. Communications have been great and we were able to email or call him during this whole process. We cannot be happier with his service and the new panel looks great. He is polite, professional and super knowledgeable. He had been working along side his dad since he was 15 years old! That's an awesome fun fact! We recently moved and our 4 month old dishwasher suddenly wouldn't turn on. We pulled it out, tested the outlet and it wasn't working. True to their name, Quick Electric does their job quickly. And with good quality to boot! I contracted them to upgrade the electical panel and circuit breakers in my 70s built condo unit along with installing a few light fixtures and updating all the light switches and electrical plugs. Reply to Razvan: You converted the old panel and old fuse box to junction boxes...you're telling me you didn't run the new conduit from the panel to the junction box? Then what did I pay you an extra $2K for?? You charge people $5200 for a 200amp panel?!?!? At very least you should not have installed a 20amp breaker on a circuit that had 14 gauge wire. I found errors in your work that I have to fix now. My fault for trusting you. Nice job trying to turn it around like I'm the bad guy for getting a red tag on my house. I went and got those permits and they also passed final inspection. Do yourself a favor and research a contractor before you hire them. At the bottom of this review I'll link to Quick Electric's complaints with the State License Board (which I'll be adding to shortly). Razvan replaced my service panel a year and a half ago. He overcharged me by about $2K for the job. My fault for not shopping around. Since then, I learned how to electrical work myself to not let that happen again. I just recently discovered Razvan did sub-par work by using 14 gauge wire in 20 amp circuits. A cheap, lazy, careless thing to do. I don't know how he passed inspection, seeing as how that kind of mistake can potentially burn my house down. The state license board and Alameda County inspection department will be hearing from me. Razvan will probably respond here and say that he told me to shop around for quotes. He did say that; he was busy and didn't want the job so he made it worth his while by grossly overcharging me. Half my home didn't have power so i called them to get service as they are located less than a mile from my home. Immediately after answering the phone i was told the charge would be $425. I just said half my house doesn't have power and without asking for any other information i was told it would be $425 to bring power back. I called another electrician who drove from 30 miles away and only charged me $180 for full diagnosis. Turns out it was just a fuse worth $5 that needed to be changed out. They don't work without a city permit - which is good. They also know the code very well, so you won't have any problem with the inspectors. Razvan was great. I had a main breaker issue in the middle of the day on a Thursday. The main breaker continuously tripped and would not stay on. I have an old panel, and he asked that I send him a few pictures to make sure that he had a replacement breaker since they don't make them anymore. Sure enough, he had the breaker. He came onsite within 30 minutes and completed the job within 15 minutes. Furthermore, he explained the reason the old breaker failed and explained why the fix and replacement would prevent the issue again. Half of my dad's house lost power today and we tried resetting the circuit breaker ourselves to no avail. Razvan and Michael arrived this morning to install an outlet in our ceiling for a projector, and another in a wall unit to house several components, for an upcoming home theater installation. I called the Thursday before Christmas Sunday, and Razvan set an appointment for the Monday after Christmas, which was much sooner than the other electricians. Since I'm not familiar with setting up circuits, I thought I'd watch Razvan and Michael conduct their services, and I was impressed with the level of detail and care they provided. The work was more extensive than I anticipated, but Razvan clearly wanted to take the time to do the job right. And the results are impressive; the work was clean and we now have enough power to run a great system. I was also impressed with the efficient manner in their modification of our main breaker box, to route separate circuits in the attic and the crawl space. I keep forgetting to leave a review. Razvan came out last May to fix a really bad flickering light problem we had. It turned out the house was old and the electrical wiring behind the outlets had been done kind of sloppily in the first place. He fixed the bad connection and we had him redo all our outlets so it wouldn't happen again. He also pointed out that our breaker box was from a brand (Zinsco I think) notorious for shoddy quality and potentially dangerous. Which sounds like an upsell tactic but I looked around online and everything he said about the breaker box seemed to be true. So we had that replaced too. He seemed really knowledgeable about all things electrical, worked quickly, and did a good job - no more problems in the past year. He also responded quickly by phone. read more

Razvan replaced my old fire hazard 1950's Stab-Lok breaker with a new modern system. He managed to move, replace, rewire, and get me up and running in a day! He also upgraded my outlets in my home office. He's a perfectionist and his workmanship was impeccable.
