Great playground, and riding path for bikers. My daughter and her friends enjoy meeting here for mom and daughter play dates. The wetland boardwalk is one of my favorites, and a bit nostalgic as I grew up in the south surrounded by marshes. Unfortunately, safety is now a concern being that there have been encampments nestled into the corners of the boardwalk we've stumbled into; we quietly but quickly walked back towards the entrance. I enjoy peaceful walks surrounded by trees and tall grass. At North Creek Park, I can experience all that, while strolling atop a floating boardwalk on water. So cool. The wooden walkway on the wetlands is what makes this park unique. In a couple spots, the boardwalk does sway a bit and has small slopes that end in little puddles of water on the path (which I thought was awesome but I can see some people not liking this), but for the most part it's dry, flat, and stable for pedestrians on foot. It's not a huge park, but I think we spent at least 45 minutes exploring it. When we got to the end of the boardwalk, it turned into a gravel road that seemed to lead up to a small farm or something and a road... so we had to turn around to get back to where we started. It is not a loop. That's my only complaint. It's a simple walk with maybe not the most spectacular, but still pleasant views. The tall grass in the fields remind me of the Midwest (where I'm originally from), so it captures my heart. read more

This is a nice spot to go for a walk and enjoy the nicely kept boardwalk through the tall grasses and surrounding brush. Not much else to do once on the paths, but it's a great way to spend as little or as much time as you like in nature. Perfect for strollers and children. read more

This is an amazing park. There is a very long boardwalk trail suspended over the wetland area. I have never seen anything like the suspended boardwalk before, it's something unique and a must-see if you enjoy nature trails. Your feet can get wet walking the boardwalk and the boardwalk is floating. I highly recommend this park for a nature walk. read more

This is a really unique walking trail. It's part of the interurban trail so if you are looking for a longer walk this one will lead you through some streets, across intersections, through a meadow, and at a park. The walk through the meadow is pretty cool. The wooden path floats over the water and can be prone to a bit of flooding. If you don't distribute your step just right you may also step in a bit. It's not a very wide path either so I would only bring your friendliest most well behaved pups or you may end up in water. Strollers are probably not advised. The views in the meadow though are beautiful. And the walk itself is very peaceful. read more

The best part of my walk along the boardwalk was hearing the birds and wildlife. It's been a few years since I've been here and I enjoyed my walk. This walk isn't for anyone with mobility challenges, low back or knee issues. And I say that because the actual boardwalk is rickety and unstable. Walk the boardwalk at your own risk. There were a few times where I almost lost my balance because of the unstable and moving and floating surface. There is a nice playground with a large grass area for kids to play or picnic. There are a few picnic tables, benches and a porta potty. This is a sweet place for bird watching and listening to the wildlife. read more

Always love my walks here. Only thing is it seems every time I come there are some areas of the trail that are becoming more and more sketchy. There are definitely areas where the boards dip into the water, so don't wear your favorite shoes! But aside from that it's such a beautiful walk and you never know what wildlife you're going to encounter. read more

This is our second time coming to this park for a kid birthday party. Once in 2016 and now today, so review is based on June Saturdays. Pros: - large covered picnic shelter with lots of tables was great for party. Gave lots of space for parents and kids to sit and eat -easy access. Right off bothell everett highway -multiple swings- 2 baby and 4 regular -rock climbing wall -multiple slides -not near a main street so no major traffic noise -lots of grassy area for kids to runaround Cons: -parking. This could be because its june weekends. But we've had a tough time both times finding spots. -because there isn't a special small play area vs older kid play area there were times that little kiddos were getting a bit "run over". What a unique park! North Creek Park is a wetland with gravel and boardwalk trails. Finding it can be a little difficult as the Bothell/Mill Creek area has several 'north creek' parks/trails/forests. We finally searched 'North Creek Boardwalk' on google maps and it took us right there, just make sure to search for the correct park! There is ample parking with a big playground. As you walk into the park, there are some picnic areas and signs explaining various elements of the park. You walk along a gravel trail until you hit the boardwalk. The boardwalk floats! I was so surprised. It's designed like a salt water boardwalk that moves up and down depending on water level. Because of this, it is not stable and I wouldn't recommend it for people with limited mobility. Signs are posted warning that parts of the trail might be underwater but we didn't encounter this. We saw beautiful flowers, lush greenery and even a little salamander on our walk! The walk is just over a mile if you go out and back and the end of the lookout points. Minus one star due to trash and empty bottles in the parking lot. read more

This is a BEAUTIFUL playground with generous equipment, several picnic shelters, some green space and a short boardwalk through a marshland to explore. I imagine it could be pretty popular and busy on weekends.... But on a Friday morning it was pretty quiet. read more

This was a great little park! We stopped by here to kill some time while in the area. The playground had some pretty big and awesome play equipment. We also took a walk on the trail through the park. It was just an out and back, but it was mostly raised walkway / boardwalk, and very easy to traverse. There were a couple of off-shoots on the path for viewing areas. The parking lot was spacious. Minus one star because the only bathroom option was a port-a-potty. read more

This is such a hidden gem of a park. I can't believe I didn't know it existed until yesterday. We were going to come here because my husband saw you could fly drones (when we arrived there was a clearly marked sign saying you CAN'T... oh well!) on some list he found online. So off we went and we ended up loving the floating bridge trail. It's just under a mile long or so but if you go down all of the "lookouts" and walking back the way you came, it's over two miles. So, a great light exercise. The scenery is just tall grass and cat tails everywhere. Water directly underneath you and lots of little critters rustling about. Very tranquil, IMO. We did come on a Sunday so I'm assuming it was one of the busiest times. There were 5-7 cars and several kids playing on the jungle gym. And way too many people walking on the bridge for my taste. The whole point to me is to get away from everyone and be with nature. Yeah, I'm a cheese. Whatever. So besides the loud folks, I was impressed. We plan on coming back during the week and I'm sure there will hardly be anyone. Woot. read more

The floating docks are loads of fun. This place is 0.2 miles from my house, so it's pretty much the closest option for going running or on a walk. There's not much to this park other than a small playground, some charcoal grills, an enclosure, and a mile or so of walking trails with interactive information signs throughout. It connects to a neighborhood at the other end and I suppose if you wanted, you could circle around. It'll spit you out near Albertsons on 164th. This place gets very crowded and lots of people bring dogs. I love dogs so it's not a problem for me, but if you're not keen on canines, I wouldn't recommend this park. The playground is always full and lots of people are walking the trail at any given hour. read more

It's pretty amazing that we have a park like this so close to urban development. There's a playground here that seemed pretty busy, and expansive boardwalk trails that make you feel like you're in a labyrinth. Well-kept and safe. Had to dock a few points for the lack of signage - there's a few scattered here and there, but a little more info about the flora and fauna would be nice. Didn't really like the snakes I kept passing, one which was just chilling in the sun, right smack in middle of the walkway.. but hey, that's why it's called a nature trail, right? Be careful when the boardwalk is wet. "Slippery" is an understatement. read more

One of the best kept secrets in the area, North Creek Park has play and picnic areas adjoining a residential area, but the real MVP is the gorgeous boardwalk. Winding through the wetland, the boardwalk bobs gently here and there - terrific fun for kids! It's completely filled with grasses, shrubs, trees, and here and there a little critter. This is an awesome place to catch golden hour for a professional photo shoot or just your Instagram. And what a great idea for a nature walk or field trip! It's a living science lesson with helpful historical information posted on signs, as well. Beautiful and serene. read more

Great place to walk on boardwalk over a marsh wetland space. Needs improvement in the restroom facility or I would give a perfect five star rating. I've seen lots of parks but this was one long floating boardwalk and one of a kind experience for me. read more

This park is rather easy to access- just off Bothell Everett Highway- and it offers people two distinct ways to enjoy themselves. The first is a very large and well-constructed playground which is good for kids of just about any age (sign says 5 and up). The second is a series of walking trails highlighted by a boardwalk through protected wetlands. The views are incredible. There are small pavilions and benches for picknicking. There's a single unisex port-a-potty near the start of the walking trail. But, surprisingly...NO TRASH CANS. There's a sign by the trail signaling that this was a choice made by design, but it's not smart. Both times I've been here, I found myself needing a trash can AND overhearing others with the same frustration. If the Parks folks are simply saving money by not having to hire someone to empty park trash cans, that's very unfortunate. Hopefully trash doesn't pile up in the wetlands to save a few bucks. Still, the park is recommended. My family loves it. read more

I love this park. I live about a mile and half from it and during summer I often get up early just so I can go here and take a walk at dawn in the beautiful dawn light and low hanging mist. There's a long, branching, floating boardwalk that is surrounded by a beautiful marsh. Red Winged Blackbirds sing, marsh tits flit by, ducks and geese float around in the open areas, bull frogs croak, Great Blue Herons stalk and one time.... a little weasel followed me for at least half of my walk. I would walk 10 feet, it would follow about 20 feet behind me, then I'd turn around and look, and it would dive under the boardwalk, then a few seconds later it would peak up over the side and we'd continue our little hide a seek walk. Great park for strolling, strutting, meandering, whatever form of movement you prefer. It's an especially great destination in the heat of the summer. The wood-planked trails are surrounded by wetlands, making it feel 10 degrees cooler. You get the sense that you have the whole park to yourself because of the overgrown grass growing along the path.. This is a beautiful natural walk. But not for small kids. The boardwalk should have a safety rail! My child tripped and fell off the side. I was next to him and able to quickly grab him but still it was scary! If you are with kids please make sure you don't let them run ahead of you. I'm going to have nightmares for months. Its a pretty cool place and fine with a stroller but I won't let my kids walk it again. read more

This is good well kept park with ample parking. The play area is good for small kids. There are a few benches for picnic opposite to the play area. There is a fun giant tree near those benches for little kids to explore. Lastly has a nice boardwalk between the marshy land. Surprising to find this water land so close to a city. Would recommend a visit. read more

A quiet park for a nice stroll. The park doesn't have water view like most WA parks, but it is pretty in its own way. It is not recreational, no tennis court, not much roller-blade friendly surface, etc. During the rain season, the swamp water overflows sections of the wood-planked trail, it gets your shoes wet, though I kinda like that, it has got character... very peaceful. I am never going back ever again though, after reading other people's posts about snakes hanging about. Yikes... read more

Me and the pooch stopped by here on our way to an off-leash park and WHAT A TREAT! Thankfully, I grabbed my binoculars before we set out as this is a birder's dream. The boardwalks were icy and quite slippery so this kept us from completely investigating the place - but I can't wait to return -- particularly in the spring when the birds are all back and nesting. Interpretive signs provide background on the property and the importance of a bog in an ecosystem. Brilliant! A gem! read more

Nice park that is very family friendly. I have heard that the trails get sketchy with people living in the bushes so beware but we always have a nice time when we stay in the playground area and come when it's well populated. This is a great park. read more

Great little area! We don't use the playground, but the boardwalk is pretty great! My only complaint is it has been closed a few times, but it was for repairs. It can get a little slick in the rain and when it's icy, but what do you expect from wood! The walk itself is awesome. My dog loves this area and I feel safe walking her alone. It would be great if the boardwalk extended out to the right because it looks like there are some pretty great unreachable areas. Make sure to bring your camera and a bag of you bring anything with you that needs to be tossed. No garbage cans along the boardwalk! read more

North Creek Park hosts a marvelous board walk trail guiding park goers from North Bothell into the south part of Mill Creek. The wonderful wooden path allows walkers to take in the sunshine in a reclusive part of Mill Creek where nature lives. read more
