What a great park for families and kids. A short ride from Lake City on the Burke via bike and a fun place for all ages to fish, have cookouts and take newborns and toddlers. I often bring food from Buddha Brothas and eat with my family and the park benches are mostly clean. What I appreciate about Log Boom is that there is usually a Lake Forest park patrol car parked in the parking lot in case there is an accident. I have gone to other parks and law enforcement is non existent. I once saw a forklift with keys by the park and let a dispatcher know. I'm very pleased by this park. This park is amazing for everyone. There is a nice trail to walk, switch back. There is the lake to swim in with life vests available to the public for free. There is also a great area to rent all your water fun needs for a reasonable price. The bathrooms are convenient between the playground and lake. Parking is difficult but there is a small lot and street parking. There is a shaded patio area with 4 tables for parties. read more

This is a beautiful oasis in Kenmore. It feels like I'm going to the ocean with the beach and sand. I love walking my dogs here and my dog loves the ocean breeze. This park is on the Burke Gilman trail so you can do some serious walking. You do need to be careful because the bikes come fast and sometimes they ride in the park which scares my dogs. However this is such a beautiful park and beautiful getaway. read more

This is an incredible park on the river and connected to an amazing bike trail. This is a great place to take kids to play or just go relax for a few hours to enjoy the view. The park and area are extremely clean, I highly recommend this park. read more

While it didn't live up to the hype for us, this is clearly a park a lot of people were desperate for. (Especially paddleboarders looking for a place to launch!) It does its job, it's just loved beyond capacity. Parking on the weekend is horrendous--park planned only installed a small lot--so we made a long trek to get to the park proper. The playground kept our kids occupied for a little while and everyone enjoyed dipping toes in Lake Washington, though the lakefront was super crowded. This is probably a great midweek or winter location. read more

Log Boom is a nice local park to enjoy the scenic water view, feed some ducks, and walk the trail. Fishing is quite popular here and I've seen some catching some pretty big perch and bass, I think. At times you'll even see the planes landing on the waters too, so that's a neat sight. Overall, it's a nice quaint park to be for some afternoon relaxation. read more

This is a beautiful park with access to walk almost to Sheridan or Burke Gilman. I am a walker and stay to the right. Even with earphones in I keep the volume down. My gripe is the cyclists who zoom by without letting you know like running a yellow light. Some even cycle through the kids park when signs indicate to get off. So some cyclists pass slowly or do that, most do that. It makes it uncomfortable when I'm just trying to enjoy the area. Five stars for the park; three for the cyclists. read more

One of the best waterfront parks in the area to enjoy sunsets and sunrises, small peaceful park. You can easily get to this off of the Burke Gilman Trail . The parking lot is a decent size, I've never had a problem getting a parking spot. Nice spot for a quick walk/waterfront sunset IMO. read more

Went here for the first time for the 4th of July fireworks show. They set up the primary public seating in a place where you could only see 60 percent of the fireworks due to a large tree. The event catered to the VIPs that were seated on the dock behind the tree and clearly not to the massive public audience. Much as I enjoyed the ones I could see, I wish I had gone to a different show. read more

This place can get super crowded, but if you go at off-peak times it can be a lot of fun. It's a good place to float and sunbathe. Bonuses are that it's a great place to watch seaplanes land and takeoff, and is also a good spot for bald eagles. read more

Small yes but if you are losing your mind over summer break, there is a neat little play area to set your house monsters loose. Not your typical swings and teeter totters, the toys will likely lure you to play as well. It is good therapy until school starts again! Fair warning: those upside down spinny plunger things might not let go of your adult-sized bum. Weeeee! I'd give it five stars if the park were bigger. read more

Met a friend here yesterday for a picnic & a walk. I arrived early so I explored the area & used the clean facilities. We enjoyed sitting on one of the nice tables out near the boat marina. Unfortunately there were lots of yellow jackets flying around everywhere. Our lunch would have been much nicer had they not been there. Parks workers should spray for them. We then set out on a little stroll to the South along the Burke. The repaving that was done recently made me itch to go home & get my Rollerblades & come back for a skate. Soon!!! The playground is for little kids. No big swings. :( The dock is amazing! Can't believe how long it is. Look forward to my next visit. :) read more

This park is an excellent entry point for the Burke-Gilman trail. There is plenty of parking, bathroom facilities, and a small picnic area. The mile marker point is 13.5 miles from the start of the trail in Redmond at Marymoor Park. read more

I absolutely adore this park. They have a fair amount of parking, a neat dock to walk out on, lots of places to sit and eat and a fairly nice toy set up. I recommend going past the park toys and the bathrooms and heading down to one of the little areas along the water if you're just looking for a nice area to sit in. Besides all of this, it's on the trail, which makes it convenient and fun. I've been going here my entire life and I'm going to keep on going to it! read more

Nice place to relax after a long bike ride on the burke-gilman trail. They have tables scattered around to enjoy a quick bite, as well as some historical signs and a playground. There is also a restroom that fairly clean nearby. Parking is alright, though it was almost full and stayed that way on a weekend afternoon. read more

I love this park and will always love it. There is often only one or two parking spaces available because so many people like to ride the burke-gilman from there. My little sister loves going out to the docks and feeding the ducks and I especially enjoy the scenery. It's quite beautiful there and we visit almost every week. read more

This is a great birding spot. Walk out on the docks and let your worries melt away as you look at probably a half a dozen different species in the large rafts of ducks. Goldfinch flit in the trees. I also stop buy in the summer and take a break while riding my bike home from work on the Burke-Gillman/Lake Sammash trail. read more

My Plein Air painting group tried out Log Boom Park and were pleasantly surprised by everything it had to offer. Painters have lakescapes, boats, float planes (Kenmore Air is right next door, with planes taking off and landing frequently), and swampy areas along the shoreline (think ducks, turtles, and kayakers). In addition, the park is very wheelchair accessible, with paved walkways and wooden docks allowing you to go almost everywhere anyone else does. People were seen fishing out on the docks...with success! A cutting edge playground made me wish my grandkids lived closer! We'll definitely visit next they come to see us! The city of Kenmore has done a terrific job turning this little park into a jewel. They have even added historical/nature signs to educate you about the location! In my opinion, Log Boom Park is a perfect location for the entire family. read more

Logboom is the place where, in the middle of the day, you'll find junior high school kids skipping school, smoking, and pushing each other in the water. While it's not a very spacious park, it definitely has it's upsides - beautiful view, bathrooms, and grass. What more do you need? I mean, really? read more

A pleasant place to relax during a long ride from Bothell to Gasworks Park on the Burke-Gilman Trail. This park perches on the edge of the northwest corner of Lake Washington and has great places to lay in the grass or wet the toes at the waters edge. Bathrooms (clean ones!) are available and water fountains quench the thirsty. During the 4th of July it gives great views of all the private fireworks parties along the lake. read more

Every time we visit this park you always get the smell from the sewer venting from the sewer stack located next to playground. If your not bothered by the smell of feeted s**t then this is a park for you. Bathrooms are always dirty and also smell. The playground is decent hence my rating of 2stars. Conveniently located next to the Burke Gilman trail, which is nice if have the need for a quick escape. read more

I love parking here and heading in the Burke Gilman. The park provides a great end if ride encouragement to the kiddos. It has those really cool euro style playground equipments. They are cool but sometimes I think just some slides, swingsets and heaven forbid a merry go round would be fine. read more

Easily our favorite new park! Nice modern playground, paved walking/biking paths, close proximity to a huge lake pier you can walk out on, close to the air field (so if you have kids that love sea planes this place is awesome) and clean restroom facilities next to the playground which is a must with little ones.
