It was the scariest place…read moreI have ever slept, even with my pitbull sleeping on the floor next to me and a tazer on the bedside table. We arrived late at night due to some travel issues earlier in the evening and booked the last available room for $265/night. It was the only place we could find to sleep with our dog (other than our car) for at least 100 miles. Being dog-friendly, relatively quiet, and safer than sleeping in our car are about the only positive things I can say about it. The bar soap in the bathroom had obviously been used and resealed because there was a hair stuck to the bar. The lights in the parking lot, which I'm pretty sure were installed because of a theft problem given the numerous signs to lock your car, were so bright they kept the room illuminated even with all the curtains closed. The window had extra locks on it, which were certainly necessary considering the scrapes on the frame from what seemed to be previous break-in attempts. I also found several human hairs in the made beds, which makes me question how often the linens are actually changed. I've stayed in Motel 6s that were just fine, but if I ever have to stay in this one again it will be too soon.

As I mentioned, it was an older room, and there were a few chips and Nicks here and there, but that was just cosmetic. There is a desk to eat or work on, plugs to charge my gear, a TV with a good picture, the bathroom was spotless, it had a shower instead of a tub. The room also had a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee pot. What was especially nice was, I had to leave the hotel after only two nights, because I needed to stay with a sick family member at home. I called Chase who called the hotel, and the hotel agreed to let me cancel after two nights, and they refunded the remaining two nights back to my account. They were very understanding.
