    Never emptied.

Bathroom hasn't been cleaned, supplied, or trash emptied since April 17, 2026. But they continue to charge for it!

    Look at all the potholes!!

DANGER- this site is scattered with drug needles, human poop, and apparently a security guard (not sure if he was really security) but he took photos of our children. We tried to go on a walk and there were homeless people camping within a few feet of our campsite in both directions. It was by far the worst experience we have ever had in all of our RV excursions. People were camped out smoking pot right behind a fence next to the laundry facility. We stayed for a total of 45 minutes to an hour and in that time a homeless person broke down on his bike directly next to our family and then cussed and left his bike in the middle of the street. I was actually afraid to get back out of the RV to move it. There were so many enormous pot holes entering the site that it broke a few things inside the RV. The sites weee so close together if we were eating outside at the picnic table we would have been 2 ft from the waste from the next site. It was just awful. I sent management a message asking for a refund because we did not feel safe staying and they refused. They said they are not able to control needless on the path. 30 minutes down the road was a lovely place surrounded by beautiful trees, a playground, arcade and amazing setting. Go anywhere but here.

If you must venture into Eureka and need to park your RV for the night, the Shoreline RV Park is a safe bet. From what I saw of Eureka, there is a huge drug problem and homelessness problem in this city. We noticed quite a few transient people in the upper portions of Northern California but Eureka seems to be a depressing epicenter of down-on-their luck wanderers and free-spirits. Unfortunately we were super tired when we arrived in Eureka after driving all day. We were making our way down the coast and needed to stop for the night. Fortunately, Shoreline was nearby and it had space available so we drove on in. Based on what I saw outside of this park, I was not happy but after we registered and settled in, I realized that the park is secure. I also looked around and noticed that there were quite a few newer class A motor homes and other expensive RVs so that eased my fears that this place would become a problem at night. Sure enough, we had a peaceful, quiet night. We left first thing in the am but not before we stopped for coffee at the gas station right outside the park. Thankfully all you need is close-by and if you wanted to go shopping for any essentials there is a Target across the highway. Laundry facilities on site.

    Nap in the sunshine

Loved it! Stayed four nights for Mothers Day/anniversary getaway. It's was clean and quiet on the edge of Eureka Slough so lots of birds. Right on walking/biking paths linked to entire Humboldt Bay basin. So yes there is some foot traffic. So convenient and central to playing on the coast. Our new favorite.

Grease mess in spots. RVs with junk all around and right next to busy freeway

As for events, You name the event, I've probably been to it. Auto racing, the circus, I saw the lippizaner stallions here the Sunday flea market. The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.

Additionally, the event (forgot the name) allowed the students to go on a hay ride and sit inside of a parked helicopter where race cars /monster trucks arena is usually held. Overall, it is a nice place to experience large events to small events like the county covid testing area.

There is new management as of 1-2 years ago and they are really trying to clean the place up and are going about it in the entirely wrong way, in my humble opinion. Good things about this place- 1. They are outside of Eureka a little bit so there aren't as many homeless people wandering through. This can also be a downside if you don't have a vehicle or are having car trouble 2. There are showers, restrooms, and a laundry room. Laundry is much cheaper than at the local laundromats Not so good things about this place- 1. The managers are trying to get better tenants while removing amenities, not fixing things that desperately need fixing, and constantly changing the rules requiring tenants to spend money on things that are not their responsibility, and then changing the requirements as soon as they have complied. They are also raising the rent while doing this, even for people who have contracts that stipulate otherwise or who they haven't notified. 2. When there are problems that a tenant needs to have solved (like a homeless person causing trouble, other tenants allowing pets to potty without cleaning up, someone doing drugs, etc), the landlords put the responsibility back on the tenants requiring them to tell them exactly who is causing the trouble or calling them when it happens and then not responding for days or longer when they do 3. They are cutting the maintenance man's hours while requiring him to do more than they are paying him for. Because of this, major things requiring repair aren't getting repaired and lawns aren't being mowed and the clippings are left all over the tenants space 4. There are major electrical problems at this location- outlets catching on fire and having major issues like reverse polarity. This has caused damaged to multi trailers and RVs. When it does cause damage or a tenant has to spend a lot of money on an expensive surge protector, they refuse to pay for the damage they have caused and blame the tenant 5. There are many problems with the sewer system as well- drain flies, improper and leaking hookups they will not fix, even if they were messed up before you moved in, etc. I had to spend my own time and money to be able to hook up my RV and it still leaked and smelled. You also cannot leave your black or gray tanks open. This was rather inconvenient as my gray tank filled up daily. All in all, they are one of a very few trailer parks in Eureka that have openings and a less unreasonable rent amount. It's that way for a reason.

No fridge anywhere, no microwave in cabin but theres one in the office, along with coffee, tea, and hot coco, but you can only get it when the office is open, which is basically never. The hot tub was quite frighteningly colored, buttttt i got in anyway and havent died or broken out yet. So i guess the human soup is safe ish The washing machine situation was nice though, if you download the app you get a free wash or dry, and if you download it on a different phone you get another free one... just saying. The pillows are so small that at one point i thought i had lost the pillow off the bed but then i looked and it was there. It was basically a sheet of paper with a pillowcase. Yesterday, I saw campers playing chess with the life-size chess game, there's a playground - the pool and hot tub are closed right now pending inspection from the city, so that can't be helped. The woman who works in the office is so friendly and helpful - unlike the first four RV parks I checked out. I just double-checked to make sure I am reviewing the right place. The grounds are beautiful - the cabins are adorable - the campsites are clean and inviting - I walked the whole property yesterday and didn't see any old, run-down residential RVs. There are lots of people staying here, many young families with small children, and everybody seems to be friendly and happy. The only legitimate "complaint" is that the Wifi doesn't always work, but the management is working on making the Wifi more reliable. In short, I am so glad to be here and feel extremely lucky that I found this campground when I needed to move my RV.
