While we stayed in Eureka we were parked in the Shoreline RV Park. When we got here we checked in and were told what site to park the RV and the trailer in and once we pulled into the site they assigned us to we saw that the pull through site was too small so we had to move to another site and try it again. This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!! read more

Free Camping! These people feel so confident in the greatness of their park that they believe it can run itself. Posted hours are 1-6 every day but Sunday. We were told there would be a welcome packet if we came after hours. We arrived during business hours on Friday. Ghost town! On Saturday we finally chased down another camper who knew one bathroom code. Turns out welcome packets are left in a locked laundry room. (It's Wednesday and we still have no packet, and we only got to pay because we went to their other park to see if we wanted to move.) After looking at their other place, I wish we had just packed up and driven somewhere that actually takes care of its customers and their park. You can literally drive away after a free weekend! Or burn it down. Who would know? Spent three nights there recently and experienced some good things and some no good things, FIRST liked the location , bike trail right there, excellent Wi-Fi, Nice big spaces.now the no good in the three days office open one day for a few hours trash bin overflowing, bathrooms needed cleaning, combo on bathroom door changed and we were not notified of what new code was even after we called the EMERGENCY number, when we called to make reservation we were told we could join Goodsam when we arrived then on the one day a person was in office we were told that's not the case. I spoke with another camper who told me he had stayed here numerous times over the years and now doesn't recognize it anymore, seems corporate investors have taken over and are doing very well in destroying what was a great park, I certainly will not return. read more

WARNING!!!! False advertisement!!! As a full time RVer I can say that I have stayed at many camp grounds that may exaggerate a tad on what the facility offers or enhance pictures of the park to gain occupancy, when I booked at shoreline, I read the reviews, google earthed the location and spoke with the manager. All were misleading except google earth gave me the feeling it wasn't going to be the nicest looking camp ground but didn't lead me to it being unsafe. apon arrival, immediately we where greeted by a local drug addict asking for codes to the bathroom doors, after shunning her away politely we started to set up the trailer in which we were greeted by a knock on the door from the same lady, again being for the door code to the bathroom. After telling her no, we became Leary about the park, 20 minutes later another knock at the door from another inebriated person asking for door codes to the bathroom. that was the bottom line, I felt unsafe and so did my Girlfriend, we chose another location and left. We called shoreline Rv "resort" and told them about the situation and asked for refund on the voicemail we left. Non replies back and no refund was issued. This camp ground is full of miss leading advertisement and pictures. shoreline rv is hardly a resort, let alone a safe place to stay. I would highly suggest another location, practically any location then staying here. Poor management, tight spots, homelessness and local drug addicts through out the park. I truly understand arriving at a park and things needing fixed or things not exactly as you see them in pictures or as advertised, I get it all, but to have clients come spend hard earned money to be harassed by local drug addicts and homeless people isn't right. please do your research before giving Shoreline Rv supposedly "Resort" your hard earned money. Sites: Sites are extremely narrow and paved. Trees at some sites interfere with the RV on one or both sides.  Location: The location is convenient and along a frequently used paved bike/pedestrian path. However, the campsite is not fenced in and is not secured with gated access. We kept all camp equipment locked up. Homeless would frequently walk through the campground.  Specials: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE insure you have your discount specials applied to your reservation BEFORE you arrive or they will NOT be applied! (We wanted to apply our Good Sam.  We were also eligible with Veteran and AAA) Our experience: We arrived at about 4:15, called the phone number on the office door, and given a code to the laundry room to pick up an envelope with our reservation. (Amongst the flurry of checkin, my husband forgot to give our Good Sam membership number, and the receptionist never asked.)  We had a 6 night stay. The office was never open when we went by.  When it was open, we inquired about adding our Good Sam membership (members since 2017), we were told "too late."  We called a few times, #politeandprofessional to request a refund.  We were told the Manager would call us back.  We had followup calls and the Receptionist again advised she or the Manager would call us back.  To date, no calls back.  * Other Good Sam parks actively promote Good Sam membership at checkin! read more

DANGER- this site is scattered with drug needles, human poop, and apparently a security guard (not sure if he was really security) but he took photos of our children. We tried to go on a walk and there were homeless people camping within a few feet of our campsite in both directions. It was by far the worst experience we have ever had in all of our RV excursions. People were camped out smoking pot right behind a fence next to the laundry facility. We stayed for a total of 45 minutes to an hour and in that time a homeless person broke down on his bike directly next to our family and then cussed and left his bike in the middle of the street. I was actually afraid to get back out of the RV to move it. There were so many enormous pot holes entering the site that it broke a few things inside the RV. The sites weee so close together if we were eating outside at the picnic table we would have been 2 ft from the waste from the next site. It was just awful. I sent management a message asking for a refund because we did not feel safe staying and they refused. They said they are not able to control needless on the path. 30 minutes down the road was a lovely place surrounded by beautiful trees, a playground, arcade and amazing setting. This was one of the worst camp grounds we have ever stayed in. We tried to check in at 2pm no one was in the office. There was a homeless guy drugged out of his mind going thru the dumpster throwing things. we were so afraid of the people walking through the campground we didn't leave the trailer to go to the office to get the security number. Finally called the main office number and security did show up. There were some people camping next to us that took their dogs to a walk and found used needles. Stay away from this place. I left a message for someone to call me regarding this and it was never returned. We will never be back and never recommend this terrible place.. read more

Make sure to read other reviews. Homeless camped out on other side of fence, Lots of mosquitoes due to being next to swampy land. Public trail with people on it all the time going right through the camp. Lock up your vehicles and compartments. Stay off the "Grass" Weeds as they have sprinklers right up to the edge where most RV's would roll over them. It was a mine field to get in with huge Pot holes that are unavoidable. I guess it is under new management like lots of other campgrounds. There were many long term occupants but about 1/2 was through campers it seemed. If you must venture into Eureka and need to park your RV for the night, the Shoreline RV Park is a safe bet. From what I saw of Eureka, there is a huge drug problem and homelessness problem in this city. We noticed quite a few transient people in the upper portions of Northern California but Eureka seems to be a depressing epicenter of down-on-their luck wanderers and free-spirits. Unfortunately we were super tired when we arrived in Eureka after driving all day. We were making our way down the coast and needed to stop for the night. Fortunately, Shoreline was nearby and it had space available so we drove on in. Based on what I saw outside of this park, I was not happy but after we registered and settled in, I realized that the park is secure. I also looked around and noticed that there were quite a few newer class A motor homes and other expensive RVs so that eased my fears that this place would become a problem at night. Sure enough, we had a peaceful, quiet night. We left first thing in the am but not before we stopped for coffee at the gas station right outside the park. Thankfully all you need is close-by and if you wanted to go shopping for any essentials there is a Target across the highway. Laundry facilities on site. read more

This is truly the worst RV resort I've ever stayed in. There has been nobody in the office for nearly 24 hours. They are very slow to return phone calls. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. It doesn't look like the garbage has been taken out in days or weeks. There is hair in the sink. There are soap boxes and garbage in the showers. The toilets are incredibly gross. It's right next to the freeway, so there is noise early in the morning. There is a homeless element. There is a myriad of potholes to navigate trying to get into the park. The grounds are clean, it's conveniently located. It's relatively inexpensive. That's all of the good I have to say. read more

Campgrounds has no one in the Offices and your lucky to be in Contact by calling them .. You have to call continuously and your lucky to get a hold of them.. Trash Dumpsters were packed with trash and not emptied.. Found a bag of drugs on our Campsite and luckily I found it before my puppy did.. Contacted the local Police to come pick it up.. We had notice no one left any of their camping chairs, BBQ's and rugs out and when the local police came to get the bag of drugs they warn us to not leave anything out of value due to the large amount of homeless people in that Area.. We decided to leave early and they didn't answer the phone and would not give us a refund.. We recommend not staying here or Redwood Coastal Cabin RV resort.. read more

We stayed here for one night in early July 2021. The picture on their website is very misleading. The campground was very rundown looking. The grass around each site looked like it hadn't been mowed for weeks. We didn't even want to put out our lawn chairs. And we didn't even want to sit on the dirty picnic table. Very overpriced. For the price they charged we expected a much nicer place. We have never stayed at any campground in all our travels that has so many Rules and Regulations! 33 in all!! For example: Speeding over 5 MPH - $100; Cigarettes - $10 per butt, then $l00; Driving/Parking on the Grass - Up to $100; Interfering with Sprinklers - $25- then $50; Not cleaning up after pets - $100. They wanted us campers to be their cleanup crew, and yet we pay them! We will never stay here again! read more

Voltage doesn't work. 30 amp service and get 15 amps. Gal says check plug, no problems at all at rv parks till this one. It's the unit not our rv. Other spot next door is same thing. Then pull through no good when you can't turn at 90 degree angle to use it. Only 1 night here but should have used the empty parking lot next door for free. Wow!!!! The staff! Jena office, and Tyler security were awesome helpful!!!!!!! We pulled in after my wife's 80th birthday at a KOA in Manchester CA. We pulled in our road trek van needed to be worked on and they recommended Pro Pacifica auto repair who repaired our camper van in 1hour at half the price of what we paid in San Jose!!! I saw Tyler security who answered every question we asked very professional! Tyler also helped a homeless man who had fallen down an embankment into the water!!!!!! Tyler also told a someone who was not registered in the park to Not walk thru the park professionally!!! My wife said the women's bathroom was SPOTLESS! We met Jena helping a man who became ill in his Rv ON HER DAY OFF, WOW she answered every question we asked professionally all on her day off and she even helped the man ill by taking his trash to the container. Jena did not complain about her day off she only mentioned it in passing! This Park NEEDS SOMEONE FULL TIME IN THE OFFICE!!! Pay attention owners!!!!!! I hav called and emailed the office in the past 2 days and son any response from the campground. Their nice when you get their but if you have any issues they could care less. They have a full page of rules for the RV park but I guess it depends who you are if they want to in force them. Sorry excuse for management and RV park. I hope if people read this you will find a different place to stay. We stayed there in our motorhome February 16th. On the back of our Honda CRV, we carried two TREK bicycles secured by two cables (one was over an inch thick). They were gone by morning. In talking with the office, I was advised that this has happened before. I would not stay there if you traveling with bicycles. That is why I am giving Shoreline a low rating. Here is a solution. Tell guests in your handouts that bicycles are at risk. Also give them a solution similar to Bakersfield RV Park. They include information about the problem and provide a solution. Provide a secure building to store bikes over night. Provide alarm locks for bikes with a security deposit. Simple solutions will save your guests over a thousand dollars. WARNING - Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, CA I'd rate this place a -5 if this site would allow it. I don't usually post negative reviews on businesses but was compelled to get the word out on this place. If you like living with homeless scouting your RV site, wandering the RV Park, and scrounging the trash containers, then this is your place. It has been noted in other posts not to leave your bikes out or they'll disappear. To make this place a worse experience, we booked for 3 days, got charged for 4, and were refused a credit because they said we made the mistake, and said that they don't make mistakes, just ask Janna, she'll tell you how "thorough" she is. To begin with, we couldn't book online because the site said to call for reservations. So, we called, spoke to a man in the office who took our request for the 3 days. When we called back for confirmation, they said they didn't show our booking. He "did not enter booking in the system". They then rebooked our request, 3 days, arriving Wednesday, departing Saturday. When we arrived, there was no one in the office, and there wasn't anyone until next day around noon. We never received a confirmation because they recorded the wrong email address. We corrected that and they then sent us the billing. When we got the billing, a day after our arrival, it was for arrival Wednesday, departure Sunday, which was not our request, but charged us for it. They claimed it was our request, but it was not as we never intended to leave on Sunday. They would not refund the xtra day that THEY added on, plus they never added the discounts they claim to offer (Good SAM, AAA, Vet) for any of the days billed. Services, laundry and cable, were also not in service as well. It's only rated 3 1/2 stars and we rate it -5! We highly recommend you check out all the other negative comments online and stay away from this place whose business practices clearly unfair and faulty in communications. read more

My partner and I have been living here for the past 5 months while she finishes school. We called all the trailer and RV parks in the Humboldt Area before we got here and this one was the most accommodating, as well as conveniently located (right off the 101, close enough to Arcata to commute and Eureka for shopping, etc). The owner/land lady said that they don't usually do long-term stays, but because we were students and would only be there for 5 months, she let us live there. This park is very new and all the facilities are clean and in excellent condition. There are bathrooms, showers and a laundry room, as well as full RV hookups and free wireless internet. It isn't the most beautiful place to live, but looks as good if not better than most other RV parks I've seen. It is right next to the freeway, but the noise isn't as bad as you'd expect. Most of the other RV'ers staying here appear to be other students or retired folks. In our 5 months, we haven't seen anyone who looks dangerous or shady and there hasn't been any theft or crime that I know of. I would recommend this park to anyone, whether they are just passing through the Humboldt Area or looking to stay long-term. It has been good to us. read more

While it's not the worst place it's certainly not the best and I don't think it's worth approx $50 a night. It's right off the highway so it is a bit noisy, the spots are sooooo small. As others have mentioned it's off a public walking path so a lot of people cruise through here. Eureka is certainly not the nicest town and there is a lot of drugged up people traveling that path. There are needles in the bushes. I know that the owners can't control this but perhaps putting a fence up so transients can't wander through the park would be nice. While it's a good location for a jumping off point to the many things that Humboldt has to offer they could use some upgrades and to better secure the park. They also are very hard to get ahold of. On the phone and in person. The office hours posted on the door are in accurate. TBH we have stayed several of the RV parks here in Humboldt and they all have their issues. They are all pretty run down so good luck y'all! read more

I am emailing you from the parking lot at the Harley Davidson Store, just outside your RV Park in Eureka. As you can see below - my confirmation on June 24, 2021 for my parking spot for one night. July 16.  I also in the same day made a reservation for our travel partner. We were traveling from Susanville, Ca toward Bandon, Oregon.   Our reason for stopping in Eureka, Ca was for my husband to visit his sister and her family.  We were so excited to check out her hometown and take in the gorgeous town of Eureka, and had hoped to check out the famous redwoods nearby before a family dinner. We arrived at 2:36pm - followed your very detailed directions in our CONFIRMATION email below - and pulled into your park.  While my husband was un hooking our tow vehicle, and our travel partners doing the same - I walked into your registration office to what I will politely say a very rude host.  I was excited to arrive and get parked, and was quickly told I had NO reservation. I pulled up my reservation number #85522 - and was again told aggressively that my reservation was cancelled on June 24th.   I explained that would be impossible because I booked the reservation on June 24, and had the email to prove it. Your office host would not even consider looking into my reservation - instead she continued to argue with me claiming we cancelled.   I suggested maybe they had an issue with their booking system, because I clearly had the email with my confirmation and had NO cancellation emails. I then suggested maybe they got confused with Cresent City because we did cancel a reservation with Cresent City, to stay in Eureka since it was closer to my husbands family in town.  She didn't bother to investigate, call a manger, or even attempt to help.  She just said I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY SYSTEM.   I mean - I just have email... not a system -  I then said I think you have an issue with your system .... I have a confirmation email. I asked her WHO cancelled my reservation - did someone have my and Laura Moore's credit card info?  It was very confusing. I then asked if we could just book 2 spots for the night -  clearly. - they had spots available. She quickly told me they were sold out and I should maybe try to call another park. I then told her -  you have empty spots and she boldly told me -  Their booked guests had not arrived yet. I then requested the name of the manager - which she hesitantly told me was Lee Ann - but good luck calling her because SHE would be answering the phone all day. I plan to call the manager in the morning - or someone with common sense.  As well as send this email and hope it actually gets to someone in management.  I would want to know how my employees treat my customers. She then went further and said -  she was refusing my business at the park.    I have to be honest - I have NEVER been treated so rudely at an RV park - and she NEVER made any attempt to help or even look at my confirmation email. I just feel this was the most rude and unprofessional treatment I have received in years -   When I walked out the door, I was angry.  And not polite. We walked next door to the Harley dealership - and asked if we could park until we found a spot. My husband really wanted to see his sister. They were so kind - and offered us to boon dock in their parking lot - We gladly accepted and bought merchandise from the store to show our appreciation.  Thank you Redwood Harley!!! Now remember -  2:36pm - we tried to check into our confirmed RV spots -   At 4:42 your "friendly" host in the office called my phone and claimed 2 ( TWO ) guests just cancelled and we could have those spots. I'm sorry - but that is BS - and those were our original spots.   I don't know what her problem with us was, or why she was so rude. Even our travel partners  Tom and Laura tried to speak to her - I did not pick up her phone call, or return her call.   I was so angry with her attitude and rudeness I preferred to boon dock in the friendly Harley dealership next door.  We do have a generator and they gave us water! There was NO way I would stay in this park. At 8:44pm -  My husband and I drove around your park.  There were 6 ( SIX ) empty RV spots - 4 were pull throughs. I also wanted to note that my husband and I host a show called RV Round up where we document our RV travel adventures and I am going to be honest about this experience on our channel. I would not want others to be treated in this manner. The sad thing -  we plan to return to Eureka in 2022 to visit family for a week - and will make sure to not return. READ WHOLE REVIEW This place is right next to the highway way at the end of town. Even so it is very nice! Very clean restrooms with a on demand water heater. Very clean no trash on the ground. Donovan the manager is incredibly helpful and knows some great places to eat. He is very helpful and friendly they are dog friendly here which is a major plus! There is a cool trail that goes out to the bay. If your in need of place to rest for the night or longer you should definitely check out shoreline!!! read more

I call from 10 minutes away around 7PM. I got a woman I could hardly understand saying something about the laundry room and gave me a code for gate or something. Not understanding her I call right back and got the same. Not easy to find entrance or the sign in papers. I had to call again for bathroom codes and wifi codes. Spent an hour and a half trying to hook to cable and wifi. Called her again, she tells me I need a cable box which I can get in the morning. I NEVER got cable, or wifi, phone reception bad, and highway 101 and someone's dog barking kept me up most the night. After hours you can only pay by card no cash or check. I travel a lot and this place was not friendly or helpful. I called 5 times for help and got very little too late. read more

This park seems a little out of touch. the photos represent a cool little beach town one may like to spend a couple days to break up your journey. well don't let the photos fool ya, after setting up the 5th wheel, we ventured into the laundry room and did a load of wash. We ended up talking to the RV parks managers friend who informed us that if you have anything valuable we should lock it down or move it inside. The park is not closed or gated but open on all sides where the homeless and shady characters wonder through late night looking for an opportunity. We were told ppl have lost bikes, kids toys, generators, etc. going as far to say lock your doors at night and if you have protection make it at the ready. I should have guessed when entering there are no street signs you enter a gas station and find the entrance behind it filled with giant pot holes. Sometimes i turn a blind eye to campers with RVs in very poor condition i should have used my better judgement and flipped a Uturn. Well I wont keep this place in the "Return" list of RV parks. Being generous with stars after dealing with homeless people who roam the park at night and morning, when office is closed. Office only open 1pm to 6pm. Arriving on 6th street you pass homeless people's rvs all along the road and people living in the culvert along the road. Driving into the park is a minefield of pot holes and you go between a Chevron and a Harley Davidson Building. You self check in with a code sent to your email. They warn you to lock up because of theft and "NOT TO GIVE THE CODE TO ANYONE!" The minute we arrived a lady was asking us for the codes. We told her to call the office number since it was closed. She gave excuses and kept trying to get the codes until we just walked away from her. The pictures aren't the truth. It's not a beautiful view, freeway noise is loud, people let big dogs roam, there's a river front (more a marsh) path that allows people into the park all hours of the night and day. Homeless people drove their RVs in at night and left in the am. Big signs say "YOU'RE ON CAMERA". Not a safe place. Wifi was advertised as fast, but it was down when we were there. Cable tv with 75 channels advertised was false. You have to check out a box and do major hooking up to the back of your tv set. We can't get to the back of our tv. The men's restroom handicap shower stall is in need of work and cleaning. Drain full of soapy hair and tile needs a scrubbing. Shower curtain was full of mold. Women's shower was much better. The good points: other than handicap men's shower, they had nice bathroom areas that were clean and new looking. Laundry was a very nice room, but while we did laundry one of the full timers opened the door and two homeless people who were standing around came in. The man opened up a dryer door and there became arguments in the room while I sat there afraid to leave my clothes unattended or I might lose them. They need a gate to keep people out or some type of security guard. Our sites were so tight you had maybe 5 feet of grass with your neighbor's sewer hose on "your" grass. This is not a safe park. It is a great RV park. The showers are new and clean the site is clean too and the owners of the RV park are very friendly. It is right next to the highway which can be good, if you stay for only one night and just need a place to sleep, but the highway can be noisy and keep you awake for a while. I am a Registered Nurse and live full time in my Airstream in order to work here and other rural areas in Northern CA. Shoreline is the first RV park I've stayed in and I couldn't be happier. The park is clean, everything works, the grounds are well cared for, and the staff is fantastic. Donavan, the manager, is friendly, conscientious, and genuinely interested in creating an environment that makes people feel welcome. Michael, the other guy in the office, brings his hospitality background and is also very focused on customer service. It's more expensive than other places, but for me it's well worth the cost. I feel safe, the park is partially filled with professionals on 13 week assignments so my neighbors are great, And I'm glad to have landed here. When I have to leave, I'm going to be sad! I only gave 4 stars because although there is laundry on site, the machines are older and could use an upgrade. read more

Our credit card statement has a $50.00 charge on the same day they charged $98.00 for the two day stay. We called about the $50 charge, the one answering the phone said it was part of the rental charge, this made no sense the charge per day for 30 amp back in is $48.00. Called back, this time they said the charge was for running over their lawn. There were eyewitnesses and video of said infraction. I asked them to send me a video of said action, waited a week, called again, told them, have not received the video, they said they will send it. After another five day we put a dispute on the charge with the credit card. I feel that I did not run over their lawn in the first place but what really is upsetting is they charged us on the first day there. We were there for two days. How hard would it have been to come to us telling us we are charging you for a violation so we could dispute it right then. Will never go back or recommend this RV park. read more

We were lucky to get a last minute spot in this park. But, our spot was on the end, without a picnic table, and no place to set the BBQ. We have also not been to a park that did not have cable hookups, when it's advertised as full hookups. I just assume that means cable also. read more

Nice park. Grass spots and some with the park benches. People were friendly and ladies in the front office were helpful. No dog park but plenty of room to walk them around. You're not a far drive from the beach anyways. The freeway is annoying but not enough to make us move any sooner. read more

As I rolled in to this park I was worried because we saw sooo many homeless druggies on the way in. But alas, this park snuggled in between a Chevron and harley Davidson's shop and it was nice. Very clean and the staff were all very nice. Each spot is paved but has a grass area for each. There was a trail that brought you to target so no fighting through traffic and lights. This weekend was very busy. It was so quiet there. Didnt hear any other guest and the campground was fairly full. Dont forget to ask for your cable box if you plan on using their hook ups. We didnt and scratched our heads why it only picked up 2 channels, ya need the box lol. I think most people use satellites now adays. I'd give 5 stars, but the cable box was a slight issue and then theres no place to return it if you have to leave before they open. I suggest putting in a mail slot in the door or something. We left with it and will have to mail it back. At least they understood and is not charging me for the box. read more

Clean with basic amenities like wi-fi, laundry and showers. We were really close to the people next to us and had a hard time backing up our tiny trailer in the small nook of a campsite. Most people seem like they live here. It was a good place to stop while passing through town. read more

Spent two weeks here during a family emergency. Treated us well. Park clean. It is an RV park and not a trailer/ resident park. Good value. Priced right. Mostly upscaled RVs here. read more
