Over the next few days we also noticed the following: 1) under the bed there are numerous boxes, two microwaves and a pair of dirty socks. 2) 2 out of 4 of the bathroom light bulbs were not working. 3) the bathroom cabinet has a bunch of random stuff including an empty tp roll. 4) the fireplace was taken apart and the thermostat was hanging off the wall. 5) a candy wrapper under the couch. 6) top of the fridge was disgustingly dirty. 7) cabinets are messy and disorganized. 8) carpets are super dirty. 9) random sleds and rubber glove in parking area. 10) windows are also disgusting. This place doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like someone's house that wasn't expecting guests. Creepy. Also, the "hot tub" is not hot and doesn't have functioning jets. It seems to have been that way for a long time. I reached out to management and they completely brushed off my concerns. They came by to put the fireplace back together and screw in the light bulbs that weren't working, but otherwise nothing. They tried to say it was because it was a same day turn around, but this place is chronically dirty and disorganized. I get that the cabin is old, but for $200/ night I would expect it to be clean. We will never stay here again and we WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone! There are way better places to stay.

Our cabin, #40A, was very nice, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in a small house built from locally cut logs. Its appliances, etc., worked fine. The managers were very nice and helpful. The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, which was unheated but nice, and a covered hot tub, open 24 hours. We were close to both. We stayed during the week in August, and had very few neighbors. THE PROBLEM: The cabin is infested with mice. A few ran across the living room during the day, but at night they came out in force. They attacked the shelf where our food was, chewed a hole in a bread wrapper and ate a good-sized chunk of the loaf. So if you go, bring your cat!

We ended up getting two bunk beds in a queen in one room and a queen in another room which worked out great with our kids. The cabins are comfortable except for there's no air conditioning in the cabins or even in the lodge. So keep that in mind if staying in the summer. There was a fan provided but only one for the whole entire room at night. It did cool off so we'd open up the windows to cool off the cabin. There was a strange smell, probably from the previous people's cooking in the cabin which was unpleasant for the first day.

No "how was your stay ?" or anything. Pool and hotbtub looked questionable so didn't use. Room was fine - very basic motel room. Not giving "resort" vibes. Outside to lodge was all torn up and under construction. Pub closed. Restaurant seemed more like a cafeteria with waitresses -zero ambiance or charm. Seafood chowder was good. Beef dip was enjoyed but fries were tasteless and oily and same with the unsalted unseasoned yam fries. Overpriced for mid week off season. . Won't be back

Small town non profit resort with all the big feels…read more They have rentals, lessons, a mini lodge with what looked like yummy food, outdoor fire pits with seating, tubing, skiing, And boarding. There are no lifts but they do have rope tows and one circle disk to sit on (sorry, don't know the name of it) kinda like a lift. The hours are limited so call to confirm. We had a blast and the staff was great.

This is a great place for sledding or beginner skiers or snowboarders. It doesn't have chairlifts…read moreso don't go expecting expert level runs or anything. This place is the perfect place to learn and they do a really good job of making you feel right at home. It was the first time I came back in years after bad experiences before and after Vail took over and increased prices and ruined it like every resort they touch. Vail needs to learn from European resorts as there is no way Stevens is worth over $100 lift ticket.

The buildings are a bit dilapidated, which for the prices we are paying... it shouldn't be this way. I paid over $6 for a black coffee in a small "glass" and that is just one example of how expensive it has gotten. This place is for the elite and those who have money, which is so sad because I don't think I'd be able to get into skiing/snowboarding if it was like this when I was a kid. We are lucky enough to make this work for our kids but it is a huge stretch. Please make it so people can try these awesome snow sports without taking a loan out!
