We had the best experience on our One way there and our One way back. The ferry ride was so nice! It was dog friendly. We brought our dogs crate just in case but never ended up using it because he is well behaved and they didn't require me too. The seats were comfy. They had a small snack selection - Twinkie's, fruit snacks, cup of noodle, jerky, trail mix, hot water, cold water, coffee(free), Oreos, chips, and a few other things. We sat inside, I took a nice quiet nap, the boat has WiFi. ARRIVE ON TIME! don't miss your boat. They had 2 bathrooms on board that were clean. Next time I will let my son bring his bike too I didn't even think to bring it. One of our favorite family trips! Can't wait to go back next year. Rent a Cam-Am and make sure it have a meal at the Ranch and check out the delicious bakery!

I didn't buy my own ticket but from the friend who did said its a first come first serve basis that he bought months in advance. And he mentioned the price which sounds pretty high for a simple transport. Besides the financials the experience was great. The staff was quick to load our bags (which we had to do first before boarding). All the bags were stuffed in the back so you can't really access anything during the couple hour boat ride. The upstairs has a better view but wobbles more. The downstairs has complimentary drinks and an honor system of snacks (chips, etc). When we docked they asked us to help deboard. IMO this process could be improved on a lot, not sure who decided it had to be only staff loading all the bags and then yelling to the groups of riders to help unload but its a lot of unnecessary muscle for the team and then confusion for the riders. The best thing is probably the wifi. Which continued to be a hotspot for us after it docked at Stehekin ;)

While it rained west of the mountains, it was crisp and sunny in Winthrop. The cabin was nicely furnished with everything we needed plus more! We especially enjoyed the jetted bathtub and the comfortable bed. The kitchen was well supplied and included spices and new looking dishes and pots and pans. The cabin is nestled in trees so it seems private. The propane stove kept things toasty warm. We were able to come because our dog was a welcome guest. We will definitely be back again!

My friends and I have been renting cabins here for years to do some winter cross-country skiing. (I eventually even got married here one summer and these guys were great to work with). The cabins are a bit pricier than getting a hotel, but they're worth it -- spacious, good for big groups and very convenient if you're a cross-country skiing fiend. You can ski right from your cabin to connect with miles of trails. It's not far to get to the Mazama trails, the town of Mazama and the Freestone Inn. And it's great to jump into the shared hot tub to relax muscles after a long day of skiing. The only unfortunate thing is that the cabins don't allow pets. Since getting a dog last year, we regret that we haven't been able to make it back there. If they did allow dogs, we'll be back!

All the cabins we have stayed in are clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. Everything you need is there. The location is magnificent. Each hideaway is tucked in the woods with views of the valley, and mountains around. I haven't been there in the snow, but I bet it is drop dead gorgeous. I have seen pictures, it is amazing. One of my favorite are the wild animals, there are deer, cute chipmunks, birds and birds, even ants, and beetles. Along the Methow River we have even seen Bald Eagles. Easy hikes for the whole family. Happily we return to our cabin where our family can eat in, everything we need is supplied to prepare the meals we brought. I have recommended Timberline Meadows to many, and they also feel the same way. Timberline is a real gem! Don't miss it.

We stayed at this property in February 2010. The contact organization is Central Reservations in…read moreWinthrop, WA. It looked bright and clean from the internet pictures, and it was pet friendly. On arrival, the first thing I did was check the sheets. I found them wrinkled and, upon closer inspection, there was a pubic hair nestled in the sheets! The 2nd bedroom revealed stained pillowcases, and wrinkled sheets. I immediately called Central Reservations. They dispatched 2 housekeepers who arrived and demanded to see the pubic hair before changing the sheets! The replacement sheets were severely pilled and worn. A thrift store would not accept them as a donation, but they appeared clean. When I pointed out the stains on the pillowcase on the bed in the 2nd bedroom, the housekeeper refused to change the sheets in this room, pretending to change them behind a closed door. I quickly realized there was nowhere to deposit our trash. No instructions, no outside trash can. Since there is no landline in this property, I had to go to a wifi site and send an email. I was advised by Central Reservations to "just leave the trash on the porch". Knowing that there are domestic and wild animals who could/would make a mess of unsecured garbage, there was no way I was going to do this. Instead we spent one trip a day in the car trying to find secret trash cans in Winthrop to dispose of our trash. In response to an email, Central Reservations again dispatched a housekeeper to remove our garbage and leave us new trash bags. The only problem was, since there was no land line, Central Reservations did not know and could not check that we were not home (we were out trying to find somewhere to dump our trash). The housekeeper entered the house without our permission, and terrorized our poor cat, who is afraid of humans, and spent the next few hours cowering and yowling under the bed. The property is very dirty. Stained pot holders are prominently displayed on hooks over the stove, many cigarette butts sit in a pot on the deck. My cat scooped hunks of hair, crumbs, an old cracker, dirt and dust from under the stove. There is dog feces in the yard. The shower curtain is coated with soap scum. The venetian blind in the bathroom is bent and almost non-functional. The pet hair on the blinds is unsightly. The space behind the TV is very dusty. Even the hooks that hold the coffee mugs in the kitchen are dirty. The good things about this house are the newish fridge, full size washer/dryer, the stove/oven, microwave, TV and DVD player. The airtight gas stove works well. The view of the river is stunning. Upon departure, we checked under the bed and found a dirty sock and a pair of dirty underpants. We were surprised at the lack of cleanliness of this house, since it looked white and sparkly on the internet. Just because it is a property that allows pets, does not mean it can't be clean. If you plan to stay here bring blankets to put over the furniture and be prepared to do your own deep cleaning. We will NEVER stay here again.

We spent the night again last night after having been evacuated from our house due to the Carlton Complex Fire. Ed and his wife, the owners are spectacular, their concern was caring and genuine. The campsites are well groomed, the shower facilities very clean, as were the bathrooms. They deserve your business.

The gentleman who answered the phone (Shane I think) asked if we could reschedule, unfortunately we cannot due to vacation time at work. Their policy isn't flexible, therefore no refund of deposit and will charge us for every night we reserved regardless of the smoke. This isn't good business - folks sensitive to the smoke cannot be outside and we don't go camping to sit inside our camper. The air quality isn't improving either. Was really looking forward to this, am disappointed all around.
