Back in the day, we wouldn't have thought twice about having some tasters (and then some more, and…read morethen some more) in wine country. But that was before the new legal alcohol consumption limits went into play. And you know what? Thank goodness, because with OK Wine Shuttle, not only did we need not worry about our sobriety, we also had an air conditioned place to store our purchases. I really didn't know what to expect when we booked the shuttle. I certainly didn't expect the friendliest driver hailing from Ontario by way of Burnaby to ham it up with us the whole time! Nor did I expect to be the only people on the shuttle. Going mid week has its perks - less people is one of them. Feeling like we had our own private driver for $45/person was another, and might I add, very worth it. Baller! From what I gathered from JP (the driver extraordinaire), it's a little more hectic on the weekends. When they're busy they will attempt to group you together at wineries and will shuttle you around to the next one, making their way from Penticton to the furthest reaches of Naramata and back again. With the wineries keeping a tight proximity to one another, going to the ones that you want to is pretty doable. They also focus on both the family estates as well as the more established spots. Some notes: if you're in Penticton, there are three main "hop on hop off" spots. If you're in Naramata, call ahead and they'll come get you! Our driver mentioned that he knows how busy it's going to be around 1:30 pm. We started with him before 11am and had made a lot of headway by that time. It's worth starting out earlier! Bring cash. They're cash only! And I'm sure they appreciate tips too.

Not only were we the only ones doing the tour, but they had a great deal and the driver, Bernie, was amazing. He had great recommendations of where to visit, and even took a lot of photos for us. We really enjoyed the tour! The bus was big and comfortable, and the Bernie provided us with a box for all the wine we bought. Great customer service and an all around great experience. I would highly recommend this one :-)

(almost 4-hrs). My work office is driving a city bus with a million dollar view of the Cascades, Mt Rainier, the Olympics and Space Needle. Dale flies his awesome office with equally, ok sometimes better, more spectacular views. And much less traffic! Takeoffs and landings were so smooth, Dale knows the history and people in the area and always made sure we were comfortable during the flight. We were less than a minute away from our RV at Kamei Campground and took off toward toward north Lake Chelan, the mountain vistas and smaller inland lakes and trails. We landed at the Stehekin State Airport then visited Stehekin Pastry Company, Rainbow Falls and the original Stehekin School. We took off then flew over to Stehekin Valley Ranch for dinner, met some of the nice staff and guests there, then we took off for the final flight back to Manson, admiring the sights and enjoying the personal and actual history of the area from Dale. Everything was memorable - the flight, sights and stories, the people we met, the food and the unique experience of flying, taking off and landing 3 times in a helicopter. There is a 3-passenger and 500-lb max for the flight. You're given headphones to muffle the engine noise and provide communications during the flight. No reports of motion sickness from the family, ventilation was good and even a light rain was fascinating as it beaded off the bubble canopy on the return flight. Bring a camera that can take photos and videos but remember to put it down every now and then to truly admire the smoothness of the flight and in-your-face natural beauty of the area. You'll also appreciate the history that Dale tells you with pride about growing up to work, raise a family and enjoy his home space on land and in the air. A mile of road takes you a mile, a helipad can take you anywhere and generate so many smiles! We highly recommend Lake Chelan Helicopters for a truly memorable experience from Chelan to Stehekin.

I loved it because they could walk straight across to the water... And right now they're redoing everything and it will be just so gorgeous when it's done!! So many hiking trails... It was amazing! I also enjoyed the town of Winthrop which is a old western themed town... And Sherri's has the best ice cream around!... Just a little tip if you pay cash it tends to be a little cheaper! Putt putt golf is down below now with the new deck for up above there is more shade down below while your little ones try to sink a hole in one!! Winthrop also has a lot of hiking trails and I enjoyed it very much our kids favorite is going to the fish hatchery and taking a tour and feeding all the little fish in a pond... They also love the hike that is next to the fish hatchery... You get to go through field and there are horses... It was awesome! I would have to say kid friendly slowly becoming animal friendly... And many amazing places to go out to eat!

I did this tour for the first time over 10 years ago and was pleased that it wasn't exactly the same places we stopped at before. Plus, it reminded me to go back and support businesses that I had forgotten about and to continue exploring the market and to come back often because this place is truly a gem and worthy of our support for being 100% local and run by small business owners.
