Took my friend, Juliano up there to get a bite to eat. He was starving, I was more just along for the ride and a snack. He had the quesadilla, said it was pretty good. He LOVED the burger. I had taco salad and a hamburger. He was right the burger was buttery and delicious. We have these cards from the Best Western so we both got free burgers. He ate everything I just ate my burger there and took the taco salad to go. Service was slow, but I understand, they need help all the lazy people are still collecting free money that people like me have to pay. Remember, nothing is free. Anyway, it's a diner. We dropped in for brunch recently. We both ordered steak combinations. I had the rib-eye with my eggs fried hard. My husband had the t-bone with his eggs scrambled. Both of us agreed that for the price, it was a decent steak and eggs combo but the rib-eye was definitely better than the t-bone. My eggs and hash browns were perfect. Last night my wife and I ate dinner at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in KC and had a 350$ meal. This morning we had Norma's for breakfast and ate very well for 17$. Everything was tasty, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The service was perfect and we love a good old fashioned spoon that keeps it simple and does it right. This is one to try! read more

Classic diner style like Ziggies or Waffle House. My chicken fingers were huge and the breaking was delicious. The beef stew soup was delicious on a cold rainy day. When we called she told us it would take 2 hrs for het to get to my son's food but she would refund my ticket. Said she would call us back when she got a moment to deal with that. Significant problems here with the menu and pricing. They try to a la cart pricing combined with non a la cart pricing for things like types of omelettes and it is confusing. No real butter used and "wheat bread" isn't really wheat bread either. Not the greatest looking place from the outside, but the parking lot was packed which is always a good sign in my book. And it did not disappoint! We got the option of breakfast or dinner-chose breakfast, and the menu was huge with lots of traditional and unique options, from pancakes to gyro breakfast scrambles. I really enjoyed my breakfast that I picked up from carriage house today. what I did not enjoy was the way the manager was treating the waitstaff in public. A mistake was made with my order but I didn't make a big deal about it. The manager kept repeatedly saying things about getting orders correct. While that's an important critique, I don't think I needed to witness that and I didn't need to hear him say it 10 or 15 times, and it left me disliking the behavior of the manager far more than the mistake of the wait staff. I'll try to chalk it up to this being one of the first Saturdays back after everything was shut down so I'm sure everybody was busy, overworked, and stressed. Absolutely horrible. Do not eat here. Service was slow, good was not fresh, hash browns were floppy and cold. Bacon was cooked in what can only be described as old fryer oil used to cook fish in. Milk tasted strange. Biscuits and gravy were cold and bland. CFS skillets were chopped up and refried in same fishy tasting oil as the bacon. Eggs were overdone. My husband and I used to come here a lot and never had problems before today. I have been recently diagnosed with allergies and can no longer eat potatoes, wheat and tomato products. What a life changer that has been. I wanted to get eggs and bacon and sub a tiny side salad (monkey dish size like they serve veggies in) for the toast and potato. Server is unmoving on this. Says they can't do that. So I'd rather just order nothing, watch my hubby eat. Which he did with gusto. We want to be able to come here but my allergies have a possibility of being life threatening. When a business can't make a tiny compromise on the menu I can't spend additional money there. That is a shame. Businesses need to help out people at least a little when dealing with allergies.i wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. Definitely not a full size menu item substitute. Just a little lettuce and some ranch dressing. I can't eat pretty much most of the rest of the salad bar anyway. Anyway, today you got my hubby for a salad bar and me for a hot tea. This was very disappointing except for service . I love local breakfast spots and this had the makings of the real thing . Waitress was very nice and I ordered Normas skillet named after the place so I figured I couldn't go wrong . I would give the food a two except the eggs were perfect sunny side up which believe it or not gets screwed up a lot . The food was very slow coming out and yet The skillet was under cooked and cold almost like they finished the egg too early and just threw it on , wheat toast took forever to come out after . I might give it another chance as there were a lot of locals who seemed to frequent and were happy there but I can't recommend based on this visit read more

Biscuit was fluffy and gravy was thick with nice flavor. Sausage was slightly overcooked but still acceptable. Omelet was terrible! Way over cooked and very dry. The cheese tasted like canned cheese sauce. There was a good amount of veggies but the terrible eggs and cheese ruined the whole thing. Tasted like something that had been left over from the day before then microwaved.
