Macy's Shopping Experience While I did find everything I was looking for, my visit to Macy's turned into a much longer shopping trip than expected. The biggest challenge was the lack of floor assistance--no one was available to help for most of my time there. Toward the end, I did find one helpful associate who set up a dressing room and assisted with items, which I truly appreciated. Another major issue was the clothing tags. Many items weren't labeled correctly, and the hangers didn't match the actual sizes. I had to check inside each garment to confirm sizing, which made the process frustrating and time-consuming. This isn't the Macy's I remember from past shopping experiences. I thought I was purchasing this from a store in the United States. It took a long time to get here and that was the first red flag. Then when I got my order, only 1/2 came in. I did not like it, item felt and looked cheap. When I tried to look up how to return, I realized it would cost me another $9.00 to ship it back. By that time, this shirt wouldn't make it worth to ship back. I just hope the second, more expensive top comes and I like it. Looks like I will be keeping this as a rag. read more

I mainly just went there for some jeans and some shoes. Tried on some jeans and the lady running the dressing room was very friendly. Picked out some other stuff that I wanted. When I cashed out the lady at the counter was also really nice- Kimberly. As I was walking to my car, I realized I had dropped my keys somewhere, probably the dressing room. When I return to the store, the whole staff knew about it! They asked me what kind of car just to make sure. It's good to know there still some honest people in the world. I had no idea this store existed. Pretty happy I found it. Yeah, the place is messy and picked-through, but they have a large selection and a huge shoe department. They aren't very organized, imho. Anytime you have a clearance area, you've appealed to Steven E. Half the building is on clearance today. Omg, I'm taking up residency here! The workers were super accommodating considering the fact that they were incredibly understaffed and the wait was a painstakingly long one. Line from hell. A major A+ to the fact that they have most brands organized and in their own rack. It made things easier to shop and find. Place is clean, organized and tidy. I've found some good things but it was not worth its price. I don't know why I was expecting to be shopping at like Marshall's or Burlington but everything felt like it was still at its retail price that I could have just bought at the original store/brand. However, the workers didn't greet me when I walked in or ask me if I needed anything throughout my shopping trip but it's okay. Retail life s*cks. I'm just there to shop not talk. read more

I made a purchase of new booths for my daughter in Dec 2022 at great crossings mall location, and try to return it with two days but it does appear that it was a clearance item that would have been considered final sale during store clearance event. The sales associate should have stamped my receipt and verified that I'm aware it was final sale. This process was not made clear to us so store Manager Marina did apologize for that! She was more than happy to return the item at her store on different time. Trevor helped us to connect with store manger, thanks for helping out on that. " Marina" she give me a detailed explanation on what happen and offer to return the product and promised on improving her process to avoid and confusion in future. I do appreciate her and appreciate her time to explain. Also I want to appreciate the shift manager "Jay" who help me on return. Jay was very helpful and explained the process again with an apology. I appreciate his professionalism and representing the highest level of work Ethic and gave us a very positive reflection on overall. Thank you Trevor, Marina and Jay. They have a lot of great sales that go on throughout the year and they do their best to verbalize final sales, visit this location, you won't be disappointed. Pretty solid and standard for a Nordstrom Rack.. things can be out of place and a bit chaotic, and the lines are long (standard for any Nordstrom Rack I have been to in every state I have been to one). nothing special or that stands out, and as usual for these types of stores, it is hit or miss on if you find something that you are looking for or not. A disappointing first visit to a Nordstrom Rack in Michigan. This location is small and untidy. It did not feel like a division of Nordstrom. I have been to nicer TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores. The blame probably should not be entirely placed on the sales associates for the disarray of the store. I saw a lot of riffraff when I was there that made me want to leave soon after I arrived. People who leave their toddlers unsupervised to sit on the floor and play with new toys on display, and throw clothes and shoes anywhere other than back on the racks. I saw an underclothed woman trying on outfits on the sales floor rather than going into one of the dressing rooms. This was a surprising sight because Troy is a good city. Not sure where the clientele is coming from. I first started shopping at Nordstrom Rack in Honolulu. The Nordstrom Racks there are spectacular. Very clean, well-organized, and upscale in their appearance. They represent the Nordstrom brand name well. They are also much larger with the store at Ward Village taking up a two story building. Nordstrom Rack Troy is only one story which makes it feel claustrophobic with very little space between garment racks. The sales associates were preoccupied at the cash registers and I only saw one walking the sales floor, but she did not offer assistance to anyone. There are probably good deals to be found if you are willing to rifle the mountain of mess. I did not think the merchandise was as good as the Nordstrom Racks I have shopped at in the past. I still love Nordstrom Rack and plan to check out its other locations in the metro Detroit area. This experience was out of the ordinary. I suspect this store will receive a much needed makeover once corporate gets wind of what is happening here. read more

Haven't been here in ages. They have a large variety of Tory Burch, Kate Spade bags and many accessories. Cool stuff. Loads of sunglasses and a nice selection of perfumes too. They carry my favorite Paige and Joe's jeans. Came here mostly looking for some work sweaters, didn't find any that looked suitable. I did find a decent Hugo Boss cream knitted sweater for almost $500. read more

I'm went to Nordstrom Rack today 12/13 to pick up an online order. I was expecting chaos before the holidays and was fully prepared. When I entered the store there were long lines to purchase items. The pick up counter had just cleared and I walked up to a woman that was about to go on break (her name is Brandy) and she was so kind and got my order for me AND helped me with my return. I could tell she just wanted to sit down for a minute but she was so kind and helpful. I ended up browsing and the store was organized and neat. I needed help with shoes and I was helped quickly. Upon check out again the line was a bit long but moved quickly. Laman was fast,friendly and got me on my way! I have not been to a Nordstrom Rack in a lonnnggg time but I will be back to shop here soon! read more

As I scroll down and read the reviews, I cannot help it but agree when it comes to how awful customer service here. They hired teens that lack self-respect and professionalism. Due to my negative experience with a teen employee here, I called the number on the back of my Nordstrom credit card as soon as I existed the store and and canceled it. Very good place to shop if you wanna save money and get decent cloths. The customrt service was way better then usual stores. Its not as cheap as burlington or marshals but its not expensive as well. Totally not in line with the Nordstrom brand. My 82 year old mom likes to shop a bit and then go to the front of the store and sit in a chair and rest her back. She has trouble walking for more than 15 or so minutes. In the past they used to have a few chairs up front to sit in. Then they removed the chairs and I was told all we have to do is request a chair and one would be brought up front. So this time we requested the chair and were told they couldn't do it. Great. I go back out in the freezing cold and get her wheelchair. I do not mind wheeling her around but she does prefer her independence. I head to the return desk and it is closed. We came here to return items that didn't fit. I try to find an associate to ask if we can return items at the check out counter. So we are off slowly wheeling around when I see a case that holds some jewlery that interests me. A young girl is talking on the phone to a customer as she leans over the case she totally ignores me and continues for a good 5 minutes still talking. No problem, I'm patient. I would like to see some earrings and she needs to open the case, also I want to ask her how to return items. I turn my back to look at something and I see she is hanging up the phone and she turns like she's in a mad dash to get away from the case. She knew I was waiting. I quickly turn around and say 'excuse me' as I turn my mask fell down. She looks at me, mind you we are a good 10 or so feet away from one another, and she says, "I can't talk to you without your mask on" as she points to her mask. I turn around and wave her off as I'm ready to cuss. I really wanted those earrings behind the case but not if I'm going to be chastised like some child. I angerily proceed to look at purses and the entire section is a total pigsty. Items all over the floor, things misplaced. Just piggy all over. Mom and I couldn't maneuver the chair due to the tight isles and merchandise all over the floor. Sigh. We decide to wheel our way over to women's clothing. I select a pretty sweater. Then as we get ready to look at shoes we see that the line is literally wrapped around the store inside! No way were we going to wait in that massive pile up. It was Saturday afternoon you would think they would hire more associates...and train them not to be so rude. Yuck, what a crappy shopping experience. read more

Ordered something online from Nordstrom, to be picked up at The Rack since it's a bit closer to my home. At placing the order, the website indicated a 24-hour turnaround time before it would be ready for pickup. No problem with that. After 48 hours it still wasn't ready for pickup so I called the Rack and was told it could take up to a week to get here. Next time I'll go straight to Somerset Nordstrom and skip the Rack. read more

I went to infinite finds to find a gift for my teenage daughter. I had no idea what to buy until one of the employees engaged in a conversation with me. I found out the worker also had a daughter. He was willing to help me pick out a gift that a teenager would like. I gave it to my daughter and she loved it! The employees are simply the best here! read more

Many people are returning online orders in the store, and the line can be very long, all the way to the back of the store. Not sure if every year post-holiday season is like this, or Covid makes it worse. If you are trying to avoid the super long line, come here right after it opens, or near the closing time. If you are looking to find the most inexpensive clothing ever created, this is not the store for you. Move along. If you are looking to score some Nordstrom finds- including, but not limited to designer brands, at discounted prices, look no further. I've been a fan of this Nordstrom Rack ever since they've opened. They've stumbled a little bit as they've figured things out, but I like to think that they're getting better. This store is VERY heavily trafficked- avoid going during prime shopping hours if you hate people. Avoid going in the hours just before close if you are a compulsive organizer and hate messes. For how much traffic flow they get here, I think they do a pretty decent job of keeping things straight and organized. No, it's not always perfect. The shoe area is the worst, but come on people- put the shoes back where you found them after trying them on! Have you no manners? My only complaint about this store is how long it takes to get into the women's fitting room on a busy day. Some days it's smooth sailing, and other days it's pure chaos. Possibly my favorite time to hit up this store is during season changes (lots of fresh new clothing), and during the red tag sale (basically their semi-annual sale). During the last red tag sale I got a beautiful $90 sweater that I had been eying for quite some time for $7. Employees here are generally friendly. You can tell that some get frustrated during peak hours, but I think that is to be expected. Bless people who work in retail; I know I couldn't constantly pick up after strangers and be smiley and chatty and happy about it for 8 hours straight! If you are ever looking for something or ever have a question, and the employee doesn't know the answer to your question, they will try to find the answer for you, or find someone who may know better. I have yet to have a negative interaction with an employee of this store. Like most big name stores, they have a 90-day return policy (with receipt) for most all unused, unworn items with tags still on them. Ya can't really expect much more than that. read more

Honestly one of the most embarrassing and insulting moments of my life. I noticed a pair of shoes that I was eyeing for a few months. They were actually in the in the size 8 section even though they are a-size 6. I grabbed the right pair to try on and noticed they were on sale. What a great deal. Not until I got to the registrar Theo the sale associate says this isn't the right sticker and I can't sell you them. He then wanted to put the shoes on the counter behind him without asking me if I wanted to still purchase them. Then Keicia D store manager came he told her that it was the wrong sticker and she said oh and walked away. I did speak up because I know that the store needs to honor that price and not make a person who's been shopping at Nordstrom since the day they opened in Michigan to feel and look like a thief. Honestly I never felt so humiliated in my life. My husband did end up buying both pairs to defuse the situation. That ended up ruining our shopping trip with my family. I ended up driving back there to return the items. I would rather buy them on line at regular price from another store then to step one foot back into Nordstrom ever again. I will be posting this on Google and Yelp because I know if this is how Nordstrom trains their crewmembers corporate will also ignore this review. As it turns out this is the sad truth. read more

This place definitely seems "hit or miss". You'll find some great clearance finds, but it's quite unorganized and messy in post areas. Your typical designer brands, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, UGG, Birkenstock, Calvin Klein, etc. They have a great purse and wallet section- many Marc Jacobs bags marked down. The shoe section is huge, with athletic, boots, and all other shoes by category/size. I was unable to find baiting suits. It might be too early in the season. They have a small beauty section- some great finds were MAC cosmetics and "It's a 10" styling products on sale. read more

Nordstrom.com had me pick up the shoes at Nordstrom Rack. They have the store pick up and returns in the same line. 14 people ahead of me, 1 cashier and 30 minutes later still waiting.
