This is my go-to place for work clothes! Recently, I've gained a little bit of weight and have been pretty upset that I grew out of the old shirts I used to wear, but I came here looking for new clothes. I picked a few items and, after a great deal of time spent debating, decided I couldn't wear any of them (too small, too thin, etc). Cassie, who was taking items off the dressing room rack, engaged me in cheerful conversation about why I didn't like any of those items. After a few minutes of looking around, Cassie walked up with a style of shirt she had personally purchased from there and recommended it to me. It was the perfect size and fit! Thank you to Cassie for making me feel better about myself, and for being energetic enough at 9 at night to talk to customers. I did the self-checkout option--a huge help--and a woman named Dorothy was walking around. I purchased an item online at Kohl's and in an hour or less of the order I tried to cancel the order but was told that the order could not be cancelled. I am sharing this information with you so you will not forced to accept and item that you do not want. So, doing business with Kohl's online shopping is a very risky. Do not shop at Kohl's online or in their stores that is the only way that we as consumers can change these type of store policy. Stop Shopping with them. read more

You can find a nice selection of items here. And because of my size it can be difficult finding clothes, but I can always find something that fits me here. The only downside is that the coupons don't cover all the items there are a lot of exceptions. read more

I was just in the store in Troy MI. At Oakland Square. Had to leave because they now have perfume sprayed that is so strong smell it through out the store. I am algeric to fragrance which I literally can stop breathing from inhaling to much of it. I can't even be around candles. So now because of the perfume I can no longer shop here. read more

So convenient to drop off my amazon returns and get a 25% off discount. I was looking for this retro Nike sweatshirt but it must have been at Dick's then. Ended up buying some Underarmour workout under garment gear instead. Bought a couple of summer Izod polos for my husband, nice bright colors for the upcoming season. I can always find some reasonably priced workout items here. The amazon discount definitely makes it worth my while coming here at least. The Kohl's bucks starts tomorrow, have never take advantage of it yet. read more

I would not recommend this location to anyone. My daughter and I were standing in the customer service line when the cashier suddenly started ignoring us. There were a total of two cashiers, the one that ignored us was Caucasian, and the other was African American. The Caucasian had just finished helping a woman with her same skin color, that lady wanted to purchase something else but acknowledged we were waiting in line long enough so she would go to self check out. It felt as though the lady didn't want to help us because we were African American, and she intentionally wanted us to be serviced by the other lady, but unfortunately she was still checking out a guest. I pay attention to detail and I know when is ignoring me. Kohl's should review the cameras for 6/21 5:45-5:55pm. They will see exactly what happened. Management should require that woman to complete a diversity and customer service training. It's unfortunate we weren't even acknowledged. I left after noticing she intentionally ignored us. I will happily take my business elsewhere. read more

It's only at this location! I spent over $170 in purchases last week (at a different location) and everyone was nice. This location, is not good because on more than one occasion, I am followed or watched. The cashiers are rude. One wanted me to use the self-check out register while she stood behind her register just staring into space. I declined and said I would rather use the normal check-out process. Then, she said come over to my register. Lastly, after I bought a few items, she places the receipt on top of the counter rather than hand it to me or place it in my bag. I say this location and its staff are terrible and while I understand they have to watch for thieves, I've been there on 3 different occasions and they still follow me around. I don't need to steal! I have never taken anything without paying for it. I will avoid this location until they re-train their employees or get new ones. The one by Oakland Mall is by far a much better store. read more

I've been on some kind of Kohl's kick lately, I don't know why. I don't always go to Kohl's, but when I do, I usually find something to buy. I came to this location because I'm sick to death of my "regular" Kohls, and wanted to mix things up. Pulling in, I love how this place is in a really nice shopping complex. Tons of other businesses are here, and I could spend all day going from store to store to store. Walking in, most Kohl's are set up the same. I cruised the store and found a few things to try on, but nothing that quite fit right. I scoured through clearance, and still nothing. I like this store because it's reasonably organized, and has a wide variety of items to choose from. Staff here is so so, and they now have kiosks! I have used one before at my usual location, but since I couldn't find anything, I didn't need to use it. Overall, the place is good, and I would come and shop here again. It's easy to find what you are looking for most days, and its centrally located, so you don't have to drive to far off the beaten path to find it. read more

I'm giving this Kohl's five stars based on their Customer Service. Let me tell my story: I bought a pair of Keds when I first arrived in town on sale from $39.99 (ridiculous price for Keds) to $17.99 (what I thought). It wasn't until two weeks (and two days) later that I noticed that I was charged $24.99 for them. Since I was there, I decide to see if they'd adjust the price. I grab the display shoe from the shelf and it was still on sale, but for $7.99! The customer service gal said she couldn't adjust the price b/c it was longer than two weeks, but suggested that I return the shoes [that I had been wearing non-stop] and re-buy them. So I did, and now I am $17.00 richer! Actually, $18.20 richer b/c I also got 15% off for using my Kohl's credit card and the sales promo of the moment. I'm a big fan of Kohl's and their merchandise in general, but now this particular branch is dear to my heart! read more

I've been a Kohl's customer for many years. I love the selection I normally find when I'm shopping and can usually find what I'm looking for or something similar, until the last few years. HOWEVER...I HATE what putting Sephora in Kohl's has done. The amount of floor space given up for cosmetics is ridiculous. Doesn't Kohls realize that not everyone is a cosmetics customer? First, I'm sure most men don't shop there, that could be up to half of your customer base. Then, there are those that can't afford the high prices of Sephora products. Also, there is a certain percentage of your customers that don't wear make-up at all. I'm 70, when I retired, I decided no more hair coloring/highlights, no getting my nails done every 2 weeks and no more daily make up (special occasions don't count). This was my attempt to simply my life and cut unnecessary spending. I resent having shopping space reduced because a cosmetics company decided to share space with Kohls , regardless of some customer wishes. I've found several departments that just don't have room for the selection of merchandise I have always expected when I shopped at Kohls. Last Christmas the selection of Christmas home decorating merchandise was paltry. I had to go over to Target to get what I needed. Does Kohls realize that customers have a choice as to where they spend their shopping dollars? Based on this, your Sephora decision, has caused me to rethink where I will shop. Oh, and don't recommend Kohl's online shopping!! I recently ordered some casual winter slacks & jeans. Of the 8 items I ordered, I will be returning 5. Two are way too long (I'm average height) and three are so thin they are not going to be warm enough. This will necessitate an additional trip to back to your store. Very frustrating!!! read more

Sue was an absolute rock star! I was about in tears being 12 weeks pregnant I have tried several stores (Target, Walmart, Macy's, even Marshall's, Shein and Amazon) I could not find any pants for my business professional job that didn't suffocate me or weren't for a full term mama. Most stores have a small if non existent maternity section and if they do it's only jeans and yoga pants. Sue improvised to help me with 5 minutes till closing and found business professional pants with no zippers/buttons! Elastic waist! I couldn't believe it! Went to this Kohl's for the first time ever, even though I live about 5 minutes away. Was looking for slippers and maybe for a new purse. Tip: sign up for their email list - I got a 20% off "family and friends" coupon so that lured me in. OR you could check in on Foursquare, OR you could connect to their WiFi when in store - both also landed me the 20% off coupon. I found a $99 Dana Buchman purse on sale for $19.99 - about $16 plus tax with my coupon. BOOM. I was happy. No luck in the slippers dept. but I'm a little particular about slippers. Sadly my last ones just died (bottom fell apart, tracking little pieces everywhere in my apartment, urgh), and I was looking for a nice comfy pair to pad around the house in. They had some Dearfoams but nothing great. Checkout sometimes takes me forever at Kohls but only took about 5 minutes here, which was appreciated. read more

I purchased two runner rugs, one had the rubber backing, the other didn't even though they were the same identical rug. i called and explained to the woman, she argued with me that it doesn't say it has rubber backing, even though it does say it and the one rug had it. Finally I just gave up, I guess that's how they get people to just keep the junk. I put a review on their website, that's when I found that Kohl's looks at their reviews and don't post what they don't like. Obviously they didn't post my negative review of the rug. Definitely one of the most organized and efficient stores I have been to, let alone the best Kohl's I have been to. I am not sure if it is because this Kohl's is located off the "beaten path" or what, but I was able to browse for anything within the store with ease. I was there in the evening when a store should be a bit worn out for the day. Disorganized, lacking items, etc. However, this place was not in that state at all. Going to the cash register and have coupons scanned in that I didn't even own was also very nice to save me some extra cash. read more

I hate Kohl's. It might be my absolute least favorite place to go in the world. I'm reviewing the Troy location because that's usually the one I end up getting stuck going to, but they're all the same. Kohl's likes to pretend that they have really low prices on stuff. They don't. I mistakingly bought a package of boxers thinking that because they were on sale they would be a good deal. Imagine my surprise when I went to Target (a place not exactly known for low prices) and found the same exact package of boxers for a few dollars cheaper. And it wasn't even on sale! My most recent trip to Kohl's was to find a new pillow, since I tend to obliterate mine while I sleep. I have a king sized bed with king sized sheets and king sized pillow cases, so I require a king sized pillow. Leave it to Kohl's to only have ONE type of king sized pillow in stock. A Vera Wang pillow priced at $110. Yep. One hundred ten dollars for a PILLOW. At that price, it better make me breakfast in the morning too. I understand Vera Wang is an expensive brand, but come on! How about stocking a few different varieties here? They had plenty of regular sized pillows, of course. The men's department is full of weird brands that I've never heard of, and they almost never have my size. Same goes for the shoe department. The kitchen & dining department is cramped and disorganized. So are a lot of the major walkways. The worst part of the whole Kohl's experience by far is the checkout lanes. No matter how many people are in line, it ALWAYS takes a year and a half to check out. When it's finally your turn, they always ask if you want to put it on your Kohl's charge card. Oh I see, is this your sly way of bringing the Kohl's charge card to my attention? Do you think by asking this question I will then further inquire about your charge card and be inclined to sign up? Why would I subject myself to that pain? Why would I subject my fellow unfortunate Kohl's shoppers in line behind me to that? Haven't they been through enough already? If you're lucky, they will give you Kohl's cash after you check out. It's kind of like a final kick in the nuts before you walk out the door. Kohl's cash is basically store credit that expires in a short time. They give it to you after they feel like they've ripped you off enough. It's their way of saying "Thanks for shopping at Kohl's. Here's a little bit of money back that you can only use here, and only for a few weeks, so hurry up and come back and maybe pay only $100 for that $110 Vera Wang pillow you were looking at." No thanks. There is literally no reason to go to Kohl's. Go anywhere else that sells whatever you are looking for, and you will have a better experience. I ended up buying my pillow at Target for like $13. read more

I can't even begin to explain how rude the staff here is. The manager is inconsiderate and doesn't care whatsoever about the customer. I purchased a comforter here two weeks ago and the material was fraying and coming apart. Unfortunately, I threw away the receipt so I when I went to return or get an merchandise credit they offered me the lowing selling within the last five MONTHS. For faulty merchandise. Also, they said I could exchange it for another comforter of the same kind and they all had visible food stains on them. It was disgusting. The sales associate couldn't care less and left them all on the rack. Who would want to buy a $160 comforter with stains on it? Awful. read more

Kohl's gives me a headache. The idea of stopping here produces anxiety. Disorganization, dirty fitting rooms, and merchandise priced and arranged willy-nilly reduces this place only for the very brave or very patient. Can you stand for two hours thumbing through the clearance rack at 70% looking for a single shirt that will serve for a special occasion when nothing is in its appropriate size bracket? Willing to check every seam and hem for holes that invariably appear in the stock if you're not careful and armed with coupons or a charge card, you might like this discount department store. I, however, don't have the time or wherewithal to put up with that sort of persnickety fussiness unless it involves Christian Louboutins, a Christian Dior ballgown or the crown of a European nation. I assure you none of these are present. The decline in the discount department stores, notably JC Penney and Kohl's, is best highlighted by this store. You may recognize certain brands in the black hole of women's wear, but they are like the black sheep, cheap fashion for profit versions mass produced somewhere in Thailand. Vera Wang and Jennifer Lopez sell bedazzled sacks with a neat label sewn in that I wouldn't give a second look without some designer or celebrity name attached. None of these clothes beloved of frugal fashionista websites ever seems to fit right. Shirts are enormous or super tight, pieces are falling off -- like sequins and ribbons, essential to a fussy little pattern -- and sizes go XXS, XXL, with two mediums in the store hidden away in the housewares section behind a plate with a bird on it. Kohl's I should liken to a kind of treasure hunt, one where you have to sort through piles of stock to find the merchandise you are looking for. And the prices are so variable. I don't like the optional equation method of purchasing something. I hate it while car shopping (but it beats no haggle pricing, at least) and I especially dislike playing financial craps or roulette when purchasing a pair of slippers or a belt. Case in point: the belt is marked as $19.99, which is a ridiculous price for non-leather. The sign says 30% off. I end up with a further 20% discount because it's before 10AM, a 5% off bonus applies, there's a coupon somewhere, and I think I end up paying $8.47 when all things are said and done. Never, ever pay full price here. The markup and complex mathematics to determine 'current price' are based on Kohl's charges, coupons, hour of the day, phase of the moon and whether Punxsutawney Phil saw the last episode of Supernatural or slept in to watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I give up trying to know. Use the price scanners liberally and, if you're smartphone equipped, check barcodes religiously to be sure that shirt or those socks are a good deal. I also have my severe doubts about quality. When they picked up Arrow shirts and Rock & Republic jeans, the products coming out of Kohl's felt like they were severely diminished from the shirts and jeans I purchased in the past. Their extremely liberal returns policy is probably worth three stars on its own. Customer service barely blinks an eye when you bring something in for an exchange or a refund. Price changes are routine even several weeks after the fact. As long as it has a tag, packaging, handwritten proof from your dad he bought it for you, they'll take it back with almost no questions asked. I've watched my beau's brother return a coat and get full price credited instead of the discount, and he walked away with cash in his hands and a bit amused. Promotions always apply in your favour and you can, with the right combination of coupons or a Kohl's credit card holder, come out with them paying you. Don't know how they stay in business but then I'm not their target demographic. read more

I really want to like Kohl's. I used to like Kohl's. I'm hangin' on by a thread. I'm not even sure what draws me in every time. I've given Kohl's so many opportunities to win me over. Their women's selection sucks. Most of it is frumpy and boring. If I do find something I like, chances are it has some sort of damage. They've tried to add "designer" brands like Jennifer Lopez, Lauren Conrad, Simply Vera and Rock & Republic. Most of it is unappealing to me. I have found some cute cardigans for work in the past, but I haven't found anything in such a long time. Sometimes I'll gravitate towards the Junior's section that seems to have more fashionable choices. Then I remember that I'm too old and they are made to fit young ladies who haven't developed. Shoes...forget about it. I wish I could find shoes that I like and in my size. It never happens despite the location. Forget about going during or after the holidays. It's a total wreck. They can't keep up with the crowd and the disaster that has been left behind. We went through several shelves to find a few pairs of pants for my husband for work. The pants were all over the place. I think we managed to get 3 pairs of the same kind from 3 different spots. The one thing they do well is keeping the check out lines organized and moving as quickly as possible. The cashiers are always friendly. I haven't really had any interactions with floor staff because they're too busy putting away a giant mound of clothes. I think Kohl's is much better for getting a good deal on other items like coffee makers, luggage, kitchenware, etc. They have great sales and coupons all the time. read more

It seems to me there are two kinds of shoppers in this world...those who like Kohl's, and those who hate Kohl's. Or at least the clothing. I'm sorry to say I fit into the latter category when it comes to the clothing. On the plus side, you really can't beat the constant e-mailed coupons (although there are restrictions on them, something I was very bummed to discover when I went to buy pretty Fitbit Flex bands), and Kohl's Cash, of course! If you work it with sales, Kohl's cash, coupons and rebates, you can get some really expensive stuff for a fraction of the regular price. At this store in particular, the cashiers and customer service employees are very friendly and usually have a scratch-off coupon to offer in case you forgot yours. Management seems very focused on customer service. Parking isn't an issue, but as with all other stores in this shopping center: beware of the drivers. They yield for no pedestrian. read more

Stop by this kohls frequently. Its great because they have an Amazon drop off and then they give you a a discount coupon after you drop off your returns. I usually have no intention of making a purchase but the discount is too nice to not reconsider, but not today. Today the lady who was working the Amazon desk there was so extremely rude. I returned multiple items but they were all on one barcode in my email, she asked what was I returning, I told her these items. She rolls her eyes at me and rudely tells me to place my items in a larger bag that she took out. Halfway through she says over her walkie, "is anyone going to take over for me in Amazon?". Very rude to whoever she was talking to. I feel that she does not represent the usually friendly service I get here and I am disappointed. I like this Kohl's. They have a lot of great merchandise at fair prices. Not much for shoes but some great menswear. New balance are now made in Indonesia. Poo. They're also carrying philosophy products now. Lot of good home goods in the back now. I love the bedding and pillow section as they have a lot of great stuff. Register lady was holding up the line by gabbing about Kohls cash that took her minutes to explain. Not interested in your attempt to get me to spend more money on a perceived corporate discount. Asked me if I wanted to open a Kohls charge. Nope. Not at 22 percent interest. Our time is valuable. Parking is plentiful. Open late everyday. read more

But be warned, the clothes still cater to the same groups: Girls under 18, Women over 40, and men, well men don't give a damn so they're pretty much OK. And never pay full price. I go here a fair bit when I'm home to visit my parents, and I must say, this is my favorite Kohl's in the area. I don't know if it's because it's still relatively new, but it's well organized and I usually can find something to wear to work there, which is more than I can say about most stores. Kohl's offers free Wi-Fi while shopping! That was supposed to go into the tips section and did not so I'll continue with the review of course I love Kohls. They may not do the Cole's cash anymore but that doesn't matter because there's still the cheapest darn store out there for The money. Old Navy is a very close second, but my opinion is that Kohls clothing lasts longer however I must say that the shoes are absolutely horrendous. Every man's shoe I have purchased from that store has lasted no longer than six months before the exterior coating has peeled off after cracking and then after the first signs of any moisture at all. These $60-$80 discounted choose from this name brand of that name brands are something other than you would find on the shelves of DSW. These are throwaways of throwaways. So no, I horribly recommend against the shoe department, however everything else seems good. read more
