Terrible. Bought shoes close to $200 that were the worst pair of shoes I have ever bought in my entire life. I simply called the store in order to ask for an exchange/refund/whatever reasonable solution could be come to. The store manager Geno, within 90 seconds began screaming at me over the phone over a very simple request. Will never shop at this chain again. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about the experience we had here yesterday. My boyfriend was looking for a starter wardrobe for a new job that required him to wear suits and business professional clothing. We were welcomed as a soon as we walked in by friendly staff and we never lifted a finger while we were here. Our salesperson, Neil, was very attentive. He knew my boyfriends measurements just by looking at him! While he was being fitted for suits, the manager set out several shirt and tie combinations for us to choose from! They even let us know what deals and promotions they were running and offered us practical options within our budget. This was 5 star service from beginning to end!! Absolute worst service. Went in tonight to try to finish an order for our wedding. The darker skinned man had absolutely no interest in helping us. Sat on part of the desk and just kept saying we needed a group ID number. We didn't have it. I asked if he could look it up by the groom's name and he said no. When he started saying, "Listen, I can't do anything for you," I simply walked out. No one says "listen" in such a condescending tone to a customer they value. News flash friends: Mens Warehouse sells the exact same rental tuxes. Go there. This guy is a bored, rude jerk. read more

I visited the store in Birmingham MI in an attempt to shop for a suit. When I mentioned to the employee that I preferred a suit that didn't contain wool, he responded, "why would you want a non-wool suit?" I explained that I'd prefer to avoid animal products. He then proceeded to condescendingly explain to me that good suits are made of wool, and suggested that seeking out a suit without wool would be foolish. He then went on to say something like, "not to sound 'uppity', but we don't deal in those kinds of things." Needless to say, whenever you start a sentence with "not to sound uppity", you're probably going to say something that makes you sound like a jerk (which he did). As I was walking out, he felt the need to add "no sheep were harmed in the making of these suits". I found his statement to be as disrespectful as it was ignorant. I have to say, I'm pretty unimpressed with the sheer lack of professionalism. I regretfully didn't catch this employee's name, but I'd describe him as an older, greasier version of Les from that "Hardcore Pawn" show. This was hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had, in any store. Just go to Mens Wearhouse. They're much friendlier and way less snobby. read more

We had a terrible experience at the Birmingham location. The salesman was the most unfriendly and unhelpful person. He wouldn't find us a jacket in the size we needed, the entire store and there was no 43L to try on!! He wouldn't check with a different store location because he claimed they were too busy, we we're 2 of 4 customers in the entire store. He made a comment about the ties we were picking out that we didn't "know style". It was the worst shopping experience and we were looking to buy a suit that day for our wedding. I will never shop at a JosA again and won't recommend it to anyone, they ruined our day. Walking out of that store both my fiancé and I were so mad and felt so defeated for not being helped. Great sale, great service...they even tried to help me find my shirt size in the middle of a busy sale

The staff of this location went out of their way to help me buy 2 shirts for my brother who has mobility limitations. There was problems with cut of the shirt and the sleeve and neck size were difficult to determine. They accepted the wrong size back and found the correct size....by coming out to the car parked in front of the store to do the measurements. This was so considerate and kind. The store manager Tricia worked with me during this entire situation and did it with a smile. I know I will return to this store for all future men's shopping. read more

My son couldn't find his dress pants for homecoming and it was in two days. I called to inquire if they had a pair of charcoal gray, wool pants in his size. Mark was very helpful. They had a pair, plus he said if I could wait a day, they would be on sale. Mark suggested that I send my son in that day to make sure the pants fit and to get pinned for alterations, this way I could stop in the next day, get the sale price and have them hemmed within 15 minutes after purchase. Voila, the pants were done as promised and my son looked handsome in perfectly tailored pants. Jo Banks always has what I need and the staff is always helpful. I love that it is in downtown Birmingham, as I hate shopping at the mall. read more

Overall the employees can be somewhat rude and unhelpful. Their is a noticeable difference in their reaction time and kindness to help me on occasions I am wearing a suit as opposed to jeans. I have had great experiences with 2 salesman there before but otherwise the salesman are unfriendly. Parking is very difficult also. read more

I went in needing a sport coat and a pair of pants for my 15 year old growing son and as I told the salesperson Neil I didn't want to spend $380 for just a jacket. Neil was great he gave my son several selection of jackets, he pulled out half dozen pairs of pants. The pants he pulled were on the high side side he ran upstairs and came down with a beautiful dark grey pants that was only $40. The jacket was $140 and so I had enough to buy two beautiful shirts and two ties at the buy one get one free. For under the $380 that I was afraid I was going to pay for just a sport coat I bought all that. Neil was great he understood what it's like buying clothes for growing kids and he worked with me. Poor customer service! We purchased a suit for my husband to be in a wedding party, so of course you don't want anything to go wrong. They ordered the suit online at the store, we paid and they had it shipped to the store in order to get the alteration money and then sold or lost the suit. When we expressed our concern that the suit was not in the store, the manager told us to "relax." save yourself some trouble and choose a different location or just order online and get your alterations done at a tailor of your choice... That would probably be cheaper anyway. read more
