Been around since the 1940s, it has been the place to get the speciality bra for wedding dresses and the lingerie for the wedding night. Classy lingerie instead of the toy stuff of other stores. Those of us who are a little heavy in the chest, it is wonderful to just find the correct fitting bra. Smaller ladies get something that helps them complete for attention with those of us who don't have to. To say no matter your size, they have a bra for you. My fitter listened to my needs and wants. After telling me that "my girls" are being lazy, she came back with a black bra. Hearing that I needed one a little lower in the middle for my famous V necks (just ask my high school and college classmate guys and male teachers), she was back with the perfect one. I wore it out of the store. I also ordered 2 more. They are not cheap but good engineered bras are worth the costs. I know EBS enjoyed the show from the side. She seemed she would have rather I left with something ill fitting than have to help me further. Her words and negative attitude made it clear she did not want to assist me. My only daughter is going to prom this year, so we started dress shopping and had heard wonderful…read morethings about this location. It was our first stop. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and treated very well. The sales associate was knowledgeable, passionate, and very helpful. My daughter found a dress she loved, but she wanted to sleep on the decision before committing. While speaking with the owner and the sales associate, they were very encouraging and suggested I leave a deposit to hold the dress. Unfortunately, leaving that deposit turned out to be the worst decision. I left a $150 deposit thinking my daughter would most likely want that dress, or at the very least another dress from that shop. However, when she woke up the next day, she realized she didn't want that dress anymore. Three days later we went back to the shop to let them know. That's when I was informed that if we didn't keep the original dress, we would lose the $150 deposit completely. We couldn't apply it toward another dress, a purse, earrings, alterations, or anything else in the store. It was simply forfeited. I understand that holding a dress may prevent other potential buyers from purchasing it, and I understand that businesses need policies to protect themselves. However, I did not appreciate how strongly we were encouraged to leave the deposit, knowing how often teens change their minds. I feel like I was led into losing $150. This is simply a warning to other parents: do not leave a deposit unless you are absolutely certain about the dress, because if you change your mind, you will lose it.
