Always have had a good experience here! Been coming here for years, at least 15 maybe more. It is the place to go for bras but they have much more than just bras. Undergarments, nightgowns, bridal, shapewear, etc. However, I have always known Harp's for their bras and the wide range of bra sizes plus cute and pretty options. Meter parking out front and within downtown Birmingham. My latest experience - The gal who helped me was very nice and not pushy. You also do not need an appointment. But I will say you need to leave your bashfulness at the door. Usually the staff are in the room with you while you are changing bras - letting it all hang out if you know what I mean. You are given a robe to wear, so you have some privacy. I was given lots of options but not too many where the fitting got overwhelming. 3 bras were about $200 - one was $44 and the others were a little more. You pay for what you get. The bras were great quality and pretty with the details. Super comfortable but sturdy. The return policy is not terrible but you are not given that much time if you want to return - 7 days. I went to Aerie to get a bra fitting and the high school worker had no idea what she was doing - she pawned me off onto another girl, who also had no idea. So, do yourself a favor - get your bra fittings here - the ladies are very knowledgeable and guarantee to have your size!

Thank you so much to Harp's Lingerie for fitting me into my true size bra, I feel like I lost 20lbs wearing the right size bra and will definitely be coming back

If you can't find a bra here...

This experience was so much nicer than I even anticipated. Susan and her staff are warm, friendly, and Susan knows from experience how much BC sucks. If you'd like to get a wig, call Susan first. She recommends that clients schedule an appointment; this is definitely necessary! My mom received top notch, one-on-one service from Susan and her wig consultant, Shannon, and the consult and wig selection took us about two hours (not sure if that's average, but if you or your mom is picky, leave some time). They offer high quality synthetic wigs and human hair wigs, all of which are customized to each woman's tastes (and head size). We ended up selecting a human hair wig, which is pricey, but definitely worth the expenditure. We'll head back in two weeks when my mom's hair begins to fall out to have my mom's hair shaved off and the wig styled and fitted. Susan stated that this normally takes about two hours (there's a cute looking restaurant next door - Mae's - that looks nice to chill in while you're waiting). Susan also sells cute hats, skin products and other random products that you never thought you'd need... If you're in the metro-Detroit area, this is definitely worth a visit. Anyway, I rambled long enough, but it's hard to know what to expect so hopefully this helps you. Susan's is just a really nice, calming place. I can't recommend it enough.

My hairdresser…read morerecommended Susan's because she wanted me to look and feel good during treatment, so we made an appointment to find my new hair. We were greeted by Susan herself and ushered into a private room where we talked with Susan and Shannon (the stylist) about how I normally wear my hair, when my treatment would start, and what to expect when my hair would fall out. Susan is a cancer survivor herself and a former oncology nurse, so she's familiar with different chemo drugs and what they'll do to your hair (she told me my hair would fall out on day 15 and dang if she wasn't right). Susan and Shannon talked about the different types of wigs they offer and make recommendations based on your wants/needs and lifestyle. They also make sure you know how to take care of your wig and recommend products that will keep your new hair looking great. Once I picked out my new hair, we set an appointment for my fitting, which happens after your hair falls out, or you shave it off (they will even shave your head if you want). During that appointment, one of the stylists custom fits your wig to your head. This step is totally worth it. Whenever I wear my wig, I get compliments on my haircut and color. People don't realize that it's not my real hair. These wigs are not cheap, but when you consider how much you'll wear it and how much money you won't be spending on haircuts and styling products, it's really worth the investment. The personalized service and sensitivity of the staff really makes Susan's a unique place. I never felt uncomfortable or embarrassed and I got an awesome wig that makes having cancer suck just a little bit less.

I…read morewas doing the session as a gift for my fiance (now my husband) before our wedding in October. I was nervous to do it, but one of my best friends suggested and even encouraged me to do it. I thought on it for a week or two, then finally went for it. They offered a deal on Groupon, but when I called I was told they actually had a deal a little better than the Groupon offer. 2 outfit changes, 4x6 hardcover book with 20 images (edited), and I honestly can't even remember what the price was now. It was reasonable I do remember that much. I was also given the option to purchase the raw (unedited) photos from the session for $99.00. There were alot of images, so I spent the extra money since there were pics I liked that my husband didn't pick as part of his 20. Now driving there was a little bit of an issue. My GPS took me to the opposite side of Woodward - putting me directly across the street from the actual business. I figured it out though. So if you're heading here, here's what you need to know: heading South on Woodward, the building (2 story white building - kind of colonial looking) is on your right (West side of Woodward). It's on the same side as Rust Belt Market, but it's not quite that far down. I did my own hair, but opted to have my makeup done there. It was an additional charge for both services (if I'm not mistaken) but worth it. I loved my makeup, but hated my lashes. They looked great in the photos though. In person they just kind of looked like wild little spider legs. They were the "piece" kind - not the strips. Sorry...not a makeup person so I don't know proper terminology. I was offered a Mimosa while getting my makeup done, which was GREAT since I was super nervous. Being in front of a bunch of strangers - in lingerie - is a little nerve racking! The Mimosa took the edge off a little. One outfit was supposed to be shot upstairs, and the second outfit was supposed to be shot downstairs. When Kim (photographer) seen my outfit though, she wanted them both to be shot downstairs. I liked her ideas, so I was on board with it. I brought a pair of shoes with me, but they also had shoes in various sizes to choose from. I ended up wearing mine for one outfit, and a black pair of theirs for a second outfit. I wanna say the shoot was somewhere between 1 and 2 hrs long. They're were 2 photographers shooting at the same time. All the ladies there did a great job making me feel comfortable, and directing me through the poses. I'm not gonna pretend I wasn't a little uncomfortable - cause I was - but those ladies really were great. Throughout the shoot they would both show me some pics that they had got and I was definitely impressed. My favorite pics were the pinup ones they took, using various suitcases as props. I had brought a red plaid swimsuit from Pinup Girl Clothing with me and it went great - even though they were just suitcases. I loved those pics! I was told it would take 3-4 wks to receive my book once I submitted the 20 images I wanted to use. Well it actually ended up taking 2 months! I wasn't at all happy with the process and thought it was kind of scatterbrained, but once I reached out to the owner (Kim) I had a better understanding. I was happy I told her what was going on, and was able to get things resolved. The main problem was lack of communication - she wasn't even aware of the run around I was receiving from various people. The reason I took so long to write this review is because I just picked up my book last Friday. I had emailed one of the employees several times, but it never worked out. Either cause she didn't respond or I forgot to go pick it up. On my last email, I came to the assumption that maybe the lady I was emailing no longer worked there. So I forwarded the email to Kim and automatically got a response. Hooray! I drove out there to get my book, and was very happy with it. My husband was VERY happy with it as well. Would've been 5 stars had I not had such a long turn around on getting the book, but gave it more than 3 stars cause I really sympathized with Kim. She's great and so is her work. Ladies - consider this for your man if you wanna do something special that will really wow him. Trust me.
