I made an appointment here for my MIL to join us and share some memories- little did I expect to be buying a whole new dress last night. Jessica was very patient with us and knew the right questions to ask. I only tried on maybe 5 dresses before she nailed it! I cannot thank her enough for turning this into a positive experience. The Wedding Shoppe was the first bridal store I visited. Now that I've visited several in the area, I can say that they took a different approach from the other stores. Prior to your visit, they will ask you to send them images of gowns you think you might like, and they will pull gowns similar to those from their stock. As you go through your appointment they will have you rank your favorites and bring more options in. This is where the experience is completely different- at no point are you allowed to browse gowns for yourself. If you want to look at gowns, feel the fabrics, etc., then this is not the place for you. At my appointment, I was not completely satisfied with the gown selection that my stylist brought in for me. In all fairness, this was my first bridal appointment, so I was learning what I liked and disliked throughout the process, but stylists are usually trained to handle that kind of situation as it's common. Additionally, I felt pressured to purchase a gown that day, with an incentive being given to brides on their first visit to "reward" them for being decisive. Your wedding dress is a major decision that you should feel 100% confident about, and the pressure I experienced is not the way to respect that. Again, since you cannot look at their stock, there was no way I could be sure that any dress they showed me was "the one", knowing that there were thousands that I didn't see in their back room that may have been even better. This experience honestly discouraged me from gown shopping for several months- I was worried that they'd all be like this. Thankfully, TWS was the ONLY store that had a shopping experience like this. At every other store, I was able to make my own choices of gowns to try on, and at the same time, the stylists helped and brought in things they thought I would like. For future brides looking for bridal shops, I'm sure people will recommend TWS to you, as it happened to me more than once. It's not a bad store, they simply use an approach that I didn't like and it's something I wish I knew before going. With that said, this review is simply to inform and not to attack their business, they have many happy customers and brides, it just was not for me. read more

My sister came from Florida after visiting many bridal shops to look for the perfect dress. My sister looks amazing in everything but she just never got someone that knew how to pick a dress that she wanted. Brittany had us seated in a private area. She went over every single detail with my sister. My sister told her she was very picky and doubted she would find anything. The first dress she gave her my sister liked, but she said "Man I just wish the top right here was lower and in this design." Brittany went and searched for that dress by the same designer and gave it to her. My sister took one look and said no no I wont like that I dont think. We made her try it on because we had a feeling it would look great. When my sister walked out, her smile was spread and she looked shocked. She stood in the mirror and could not find one thing she did not like. Brittany is amazing at what she does and my sister finally found her dream wedding dress. When you book your appointment, you get an open line of communication with them via text where they ask you to send photos of your inspiration / styles you seemed to have liked. I spent a few hours scrolling through their couture offerings on their site and screenshotting the ones I liked. I sent them 30 dresses that I loved. I also created an account on their website and saved some down to my wishlist. This takes a significant amount of time but I wanted them to be informed. Fast forward to going in to try on dresses... all the info they asked when I set up my appointment / created my account was asked again on a paper form (budget, date, venue) and the stylist (Samantha) seemed clueless of the dresses I spent time sending them for inspiration and the ones I was curious most about. She pulled random ones totally unrelated to what I was looking for. My budget was 8k and the dresses she pulled were all 3k or less and I know they had dresses closer to the budget that were more along the lines of what I wanted. She was also incredibly unexcited and flat about the whole experience... it was almost awkward and uncomfortable. Anytime we'd ask her to get a specific style or even a dress by name it would take her 15+ minutes to go pull them and when you only have a certain amount of time for your appointment it adds up. She honestly didn't even seem like she was trying to sell me a dress? Everyone with me that day felt the same. Then... at one point she just walked away and left us and we were sitting there like "well what do we do now / is she looking for something else?" And she came back 20 minutes later to then just announce that the room was booked for the next party. It was SO weird. Also I get charging for an appointment but when the service was AWFUL it makes the whole situation feel even worse. I should have known right from the start that this wasn't going to be a good experience because when we got there I inquired about champagne for which I was given a menu with "champagne $50" and "Prosecco $58". No names of what the champagne was etc... just one "generic" option for each. I let the woman in charge of our appointment know that we had very distinguished taste when it came to champagne and Prosecco and asked her which was better. She said she didn't know the brands but that the champagne was the best seller. Well... it was KORBEL! THEY CHARGE YOU 50 DOLLARS FOR A $9 BOTTLE OF UNDRINKABLE KORBEL AND DONT HAVE OTHER OPTIONS. Immediately gave me the vibe that this was not going to be a luxurious or classy experience. Also she kept saying she added the dresses / info of what I liked to my profile. Assuming that info would be connected to the login / profile I have through their site I didn't spend time writing down makers / designs etc. well... now that the appointment is over I know that I actually don't have any access to that information and it's only their internal system that can see it. read more

This was the first store I went to looking for a wedding dress. Ashlee was my consultant and she did an amazing job. She made me feel comfortable right away. I did not have an exact picture of what I wanted but told her what I absolutely disliked. She pulled so many dresses very quickly and helped me narrow down features I liked until she pulled the absolute best one as the last dress to try on. My daughter bought a Boomba bra from here. It isn't the correct size and the seal on the box was broken when the sales person showed it to her. They did not point out that it wasn't returnable. She ended up not needing it, so I called them to ask about returning and was told that it cannot be returned Even though it has never been worn. That is $61 down the drain. I would never shop here again. if you do I highly recommend that you ask questions and make sure you are happy with your purchase before leaving the store. read more

My wife and daughter, who will be getting married this summer, just came into the shop to look at some jewelry and make an appointment. There were three employees working, one was with a customer and the other two just standing around. None of them greeted them nor had any comment about why they were there. This was appalling behavior for any shop, even one that works on an appointment basis. By the way, neither of them appeared as the movie Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts was completely snubbed which was a Big mistake, Big, HUGE. Same goes for this shop and its employees. Recently came here to look at bridal gowns for my best friend who is recently engaged. The cost first of all is $100 to book an appointment, not knowing whether or not they can even accommodate what you want. From start to finish they fell short. Instead of hyping up the wedding party and making the bride feel like a princess, the girl who was helping us made us feel like we couldn't even get up to walk around to view the dresses they did have. They made the bride feel less than and made it seem like we were "just another customer" instead of giving her the bridal appointment she deserved. The girl who assisted also seemed to just be in a horrible mood and made us feel uncomfortable every step of the way. The shop also did not have much variety, which made it difficult for them when she realized she liked a certain style. My opinion? It could have been an off day for the associate, but when you work in this business you have to put the effort forth no matter how you are feeling. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Katy was the one who assisted me with dress shopping- she was wonderful. Katy was very sweet to work with and hilarious as well. I heard great things about The Wedding Shoppe, however, I did not have the same experience. First, my appointment was at 11am. They sent a text the day before that said, you can come 30 minutes before or stay after to have champagne. We arrived at 10:30 to have a toast before we started looking. However, the store doesn't open until 11am so we couldn't even get in until 11am. This is also partly my fault for not looking at the hours but don't send a text saying we can come 30 minutes before and then not let us in 30 minutes before. Also, there was another bride to be who also had an appointment the same time I did, and did the same exact thing and arrived early to have a toast and she didn't realize it didn't open until 11am either so we both waited outside. Next, I felt so unheard and so rushed during my appointment. I kept saying I didn't want mermaid style dresses, they kept bringing me mermaid style. I kept saying I don't want lace, all the dresses I tried on had lace. I felt nothing fit me and they didn't care if I found a dress I loved or not. I also asked if they had belts and the lady working with us told me no. Didn't even bother to look or ask. I tried on a couple headbands but very judgmental about us trying on items even though they said we could. As soon as I said I don't think I absolutely love the dress I had on, we were rushed right out. I got a card and was told my appointment was over. They work on commission- which I thought meant they would want me to find my dream dress but they really didn't care. I would really recommend you do your research before making an appointment here. Check their Facebook and Instagram and see if they have any dresses you actually like before just going to try on dresses. Stand your ground on what you really like, I wish I would have. I am going start off with saying that I bought a stunning dress here and it fit like a glove on the day of my wedding! 1. Dress Try On I booked an appointment to try on dresses in February of 2021. I was allowed to bring my mom and two other guests to the appointment and the mask mandate was still in affect. The place itself is stunning and modern and feels luxurious from the moment you step in. Every worker that we encountered were welcoming and felt like they wanted to be there which is always a good sign. If there were not any restrictions they would have offered us beverages but at this point in time they could not. I wish I remembered my consultant's name but she took such great care of us. We were escorted to one of the back changing rooms that had a beautifully decorated "show" area where I could stand on a platform in front of a large mirror so my guests and I can get a better look at the dress. There is also a private changing area attached to each show area so you have a private space before walking out for your friends and family to see. My mom was very demanding of what she wanted to see and I felt like my consultant was able to make my mom's voice feel heard and still able to honor my wishes. We went over what I wanted in a dress, showed her my pinterest board, gave her my price point, and made sure she knew I wanted a sample of each style right off the bat. She delivered that and so much more. I jumped in and out of dresses because I wanted to make sure my 2 hour appointment was filled with many dresses. I knew immediately what dress I wanted but I was thankful that my consultant played along with me wanting to try on so many dresses! (after all it is a once in a lifetime experience!) She also found my veil and we ended up getting the dress that same day. 2. Try On Appointments I opted to have my dress stored and altered on site so it was one less thing I would have to worry about. I was treated amazing with all four of my appointments and by the end my dress fit me perfectly. The one and only reason this place is 4 stars and not 5 is because I believe that the alteration prices are pretty steep. I paid around $300 for each visit (besides one). I came here Thursday night with my mom and MOH and Rebecca was our consultant. She was amazing!! She looked at my inspiration photos and brought out a nice variety of dresses. We loved the way she let all of us share our thoughts about each dress and didn't try to sway us. She was very receptive to our feedback and when she went to get more dresses she was getting closer and closer to my dream dress. Unfortunately they didn't seem to have the exact dress I was looking for, so I did not purchase a dress here but I would absolutely recommend The Wedding Shoppe and Rebecca. Just picked up my dress for the big day and I couldn't have been happier with the process from start to finish. I wrote a lot about picking out the dress in my first review so I'm updating here with some feedback on the alterations process. It took me about 3 fittings to get it finalized but I was happy with the care they put into making it just right, so I didn't mind having to come in a few times to get it perfect. Plus they warn you ahead of time that it will take about 2-3 visits to get it just so. The cost is a bit steep but they are very thorough and do a wonderful job. I had such a lovely time here that I'm actually a little sad I won't get to go back there as a bride again. They just have so may pretty sparkly things to look at and the super nice staff make it the best environment for a stressed out bride. I'd 100% recommend them from start to finish! read more

I was looking for a modest style, and was only allowed to try on 5 dresses before being told to look elsewhere. I was told "try a Muslim shop" and that I could not be helped at this shop. I grew up in Michigan but live in Southern California now and I have been overwhelmed with wedding dress shopping, to say the least. With a wedding date in less than 3 months, I've been nervous I would find anything at all, let alone in my budget and something I liked. From the moment I walked into The Wedding Shoppe I was blown away! This shop is stunning. My sister and I were immediately welcomed and whisked into the private bridal suite as booked. Shortly after my assigned stylist, Gina came in. With her warm demeanor Gina asked me a few questions about what I was looking for and what I've tried on. I've tried everything. So much so that every wedding dress really felt like one letdown after another. However after hearing my jumbled thoughts, Gina really listened and picked out various things I said and brought them as options to start seeing what I liked and what I didn't and go from there. While this may sound like the bridal basics, this simply has not been my experience. I've been in shops that wouldn't tell me the price of a dress until I told them my budget and miraculously that was the price of the dress I liked...the top of my budget. Gina felt like a best friend who was helpful and insightful in every way. She was extremely mindful of my budget and would let me know right away if something myself or my sister pulled was over budget and gladly whisked it away to keep us focused. I write all this to really say THANK YOU to The Wedding Shoppe for fostering such an amazing environment. But even more a THANK YOU to Gina who helped bring my wedding dreams, one I hadn't even envisioned for myself, to life. The consultant kept disappearing to find dresses and coming back with 1 dress. in a 2 hour period I tried on 5 dresses and sat waiting in the changing room for about 1.5 hours of it. The consultant kept telling me they had 1500 dresses but never brought me options for a budget of 5k. The store was a massive disappointment and upsetting to have to pay a deposit to try on a total of 5 dresses.
