My go to place to shop, hands down. As much as I love shopping online I like to come to The Rack if I'm free on a Saturday or during the week when they have first open. I DO NOT like a crowd, so if you are like me come when it opens that way you avoid the annoying customers, destroyed racks, and/or disorganized fitting rooms that all happen during peak hours. It's not as big as the other locations in Dallas, but it is always well stocked and there are plenty of helpful associates. I like coming here periodically to get gifts throughout the year, and they also sell makeup and hair products at a discount. I have seen many items purchased at Nordstrom here for a fraction of the price, I could just kick myself! Happy shopping :) read more

I've been searching for a pink knit hat for about 3 years because I'm very particular about the shade of pink. Brighter than rose but not as bright as fuschia. I've found it in the past, only to find that it's acrylic. No way am I paying $20 for an acrylic hat. Finally, this season, I found the hat in exactly the right shade at Nordstrom Rack. Even better, it is cashmere! Even better than that, I had the Groupon for $25 off of $50. I also found a professional ceramic hairbrush, and my husband got a pair of leather sandals. All of that for $50! It is hit or miss here, but it's the only Nordstrom Rack in the area with a Petite section. I don't come here too frequently because you have to wait for turnover in the merchandise. The line is long, but it moves pretty fast. read more

I always find incredible deals at Nordstrom Rack, especially during their Clear The Rack event. This is a well laid out store, everything is kept organized and clean. They do not jam too many clothes on sales racks which makes for a much more enjoyable shopping experience. I appreciate the wide selection of women's shoes, there are at least 3 long rows of shoes in my size. You do have to go to the counter to request the other shoe, but even that is super fast unlike other department stores. I have also found great cosmetics in this store, brands like Urban Decay, Nars, Smashbox etc all at very discounted prices. Great store, great selections, great deals. read more

This place really is shoe heaven. I found lots of great deals but had my cheap-o hubby with me so there's no way to explain to him why I NEED designer shoes. I like Nordstrom Rack, mainly because they actually have my (tiny) shoe size. Most run ~$50 though, but I may catch 1 or 2 on sale. I do not like the shoe mate technique where you only see/try on one shoe and have to line up for it's "mate." Lines can get long and I don't want to have to wait on someone to bring my other shoe. I like the selection at the location near the Galleria better. This location seems a bit more unorganized and sloppy than most I've been to. read more

I visited Nordstrom Rack for the first time on today. I used the Groupon that I purchased for $25 for $50 worth of merchandise. It was very busy and with that being said, the store was somewhat messy, not much. But, I think some of the customers probably play a role in that. But the store is definitely not dirty as another Yelper mentioned in a previous review. I didn't really have anything in mind that I was looking for, but it appears the store is well stocked. Inventory not too bad, but not as large as the Park Lane location. Clearance bags are an absolute dump - I wouldn't want to buy any leather purses in that shelf due to the amount of abuse and scratches they must've gone through. Shoe clearance is messy as well. As for clothes, you can find some decent sales here and there. Pro-tip: There is a red light camera on the intersection of Preston and Ventura. It's an awful ill timed light. read more

A trip to the Nordstrom Rack for me is like playing roulette with my wallet. I never know what I'll find, and I'll never know how much I'll drop on a certain item. I ignore the women's clothing for the most part, since it's usually still priced too high for my taste. Instead, my cheap ass will head for the shoes, where I stand the best chance of finding something that won't fill me with regret when I get it home. They have a large selection, but their merchandising sucks. Shoes are often tossed onto racks with no semblance of organization. The mates can be found by going to a counter and having the clerk go back and find it for you. When you think about just how many shoes they have, it makes for a frustrating experience. What they should do is have racks like the Dallas location, where both shoes are in boxes, neatly organized. My boyfriend loves this place, because they carry a ton of Ben Sherman merch. I actually like shopping with him when we go together. Hell, I even bought a Ben Sherman shoulder bag, which is now my new handbag! Forty bucks? Not bad! This is definitely a hit or miss place. However, go prepared, because you'll never know when you'll find something you saw at regular Nordstrom that you never thought you could afford, with a much more affordable tag on it. read more

This place is both great and terrible at the same time. If you have one or two items that you want, or have hours to dig through racks of clothing, Nordstrom Rack is the place for you. For me, the indecisive shopper + clothing ADD (I jump from section to section), this place set me up for failure. Clearance racks and shoe aisles are a complete mess. I saw stay-at-homes with their sleeves rolled up pawing through hangers, but that just doesn't do it for me. Regular-priced sections are pretty neatly arranged, but I wouldn't say their prices are exceptionally cheap. Some of their items (i.e. lingerie, accessories, etc.) are available around the corner at Last Call Neiman Marcus, and may be slightly more expensive. I was able to find a couple of cute, small items, but ultimately, with the setup of the store combined with average prices, I won't be coming back here unless there is a huge sale. read more

There are few places that I morally cannot buy from only because the prices are crazy. Well, this is my first time inside a Nordstrom rack, the prices are reduced so it does make it more affordable for regular folks who aren't balling. They have a ton of shoes for men, actually I was surprised by how many shoes they had. They have shirts, boojy socks, jeans and all sorts of other stuff. This is sort of an expensive Marshalls/Ross store. I didn't find anything for myself but I did find some shoes for my little one. read more

I am not usually one for this type of store - the clothes rounders and large amount of shoes all mixed together on huge shelves mess with my OCD. BUT Nordstrom Rack is worth it!!! You can find some amazing deals in store and on-line. Ladies - Hanky Panky undies for $12-13 is awesome! I don't find something every time, but I usually have to force myself to leave before I spend too much money or time there. The people have always been friendly. I've spent years in retail and I can tell you that you need to understand that Nordstrom Rack isn't a true outlet center. They do tag some of their clothes as "From Retail Store" for a reason; those are the true clearance pieces. As for the others, most are purchased just for The Rack, at normal margins, some even higher than what you might expect at their traditional locations. As for the store itself, you need to be patient and have a sense of adventure. Most of the rounders are PACKED full and not always organized properly. Weekends tend to be packed with shoppers and the fitting rooms usually have a line several shoppers long. The only thing I seem to find good deals on are their shoes. Most do come from the traditional retail stores and most are 50% off or more. read more

I never have a bad experiences going to Nordstrom rack or Nordstrom. Until I went to the Preston Shepard place location. The store layout- clothes and shoes on the floor. I don't mind. The customer services is not that good when I went check out with cashier Michael. I have bad experiences. He didn't greet or thank you. He didn't even let me finish asking my question before answer. I would have to say this store is just okay. I didn't have any issues with any employees but if you have a child and use the shopping carts, it is extremely hard to fit through the aisles. The store is pretty messy, it took me about an hour to find some shoes for my children because they were all so disorganized and just piled on top of each other. I did score some great deals on pants and tops for both of my kids, however waiting in line to pay took quite a bit of time. If you shop at this store, plan on having a lot of free time to dig and wait in line. read more

I admit the only reason I stopped in was because of a gift card. Not only was it New Years eve and they were closing early but I wasn't impressed with the clothing at all (most items I could find cheaper elsewhere) UNTIL I saw the prettiest fushia silk dress ever! Of course it wasn't my size and trying to find my size amongst the clearance/post Xmas frenzied items was a daunting task! The store was closed but she took the time to scan my item for another location, however we realized my size was in-house. She ran around looking for my size as if her life depended on it. I don't make it over to Park and Preston often, but when I do I always check out the rack! I try not to go on a Saturday because it is so crowded and hard to move around. They have great prices on name brand jeans 7 for all Man Kind for $70, Joe Jeans for $60, and many other great brands. The shoe section is the most fun to peruse! You never know what finds you will come across. I bought a pair of coach flats for $50. This time I was looking for a Michael Kors beach bag. No such luck! Now, be prepared you have to hunt through the racks, but if you are a bargain hunter that's the price you pay. read more
