I have been a loyal customer of the Totem Lake Rack location since it first opened, which is why I was so disappointed by my experience today. Less than a month ago, I purchased three of the same work shirts. After the very first wash, one of the shirts began falling apart due to what appeared to be poor fabric quality. I returned to the store with the other two shirts, which were completely unworn and still had the original tags attached. I also brought the damaged shirt, along with its tags, hoping the store would stand behind the quality of the product. Unfortunately, the manager was rude and immediately told me she would not accept the damaged shirt because it had been worn. I politely asked to speak with the store manager, but when she came out, she was also dismissive, rude, and showed no concern for my situation or my long-standing loyalty as a customer. I understand that stores have return policies, but I believe there should also be consideration for defective merchandise and for customers who have supported the store for years. I left feeling disappointed, unheard, and undervalued. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers receive better service and defective products are handled more fairly. read more

NORDSTROM RACK @ KIRKLAND TOTEM LAKE Parking is available in their lot, and it's shared with the rest of the plaza. It does get extremely busy especially on weekends but you'll still be able to find a spot. All parking is completely free. When you walk into Nordstrom Rack, you'll either take the escalator or the elevator since everything is on the second floor. The store itself is huge, and they always have a lot of items on sale. I came in specifically looking for UGG shoes, but they were sold out everywhere. The associate, Aiden, was extremely helpful and kind. He went through every single aisle trying to find the exact pair I wanted, and even though they weren't in stock, I really appreciated how much effort he put in. The store has a big selection, especially when it comes to clothes. A lot of the items are designer pieces, yes, they're discounted, but most things still range from around $60 to $100, especially jeans and other clothing. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back. I like this location. It's not the biggest Nordstrom Rack I've been to, but it still has a great selection, and it works perfectly for being in Totem Lake. read more

WORST MANAGER. She is rude and I experience the worst service from her. I bought a final sale item online but the thread on the item was damaged and torn. I came to get a refund because the product came ripped and this was not what I paid for. Cashier who helped me saw the tear and said she was so sorry and called the manager saying it could be returned. BUT whrn the manager came she was so rude and said it's a final sale/can't return. Then when she finally gave me the return (store credit) she made it sound like she was doing me a favor...please, don't even. I did not expect the item to come damaged. read more

Never been and probably still never will be a fan of Nordstrom. Even though things are "discounted here", it's still more affordable to go elsewhere for the same quality and a similar item. I walked in thinking I'd "give it a chance". Yikes. I saw some plain dress shoes that were on sale...for $50. Unless these shoes were lined with gold leaf or something, I really don't think they were aesthetically pleasing at all and totally not worth $50. They looked like something you could get at Walmart for $10. Absurdly overpriced items that are pretty much the same quality as other department stores. Things here really shouldn't cost as much as they do. And I don't know about you but I'm not into the "old person" grandparent patterns here. I honestly don't see the appeal here. I can find better looking and way more affordable options elsewhere. Why get a $100 shirt when you can get 5 of a similar shirt somewhere else? I don't get it. It's not like you're wearing the Nordstrom logo on your clothing to advertise that you went shopping there either. Who are you trying to impress by wearing that article of clothing? Is it worth the $100 to do so for just that one outing? Idea: get a reusable Nordstrom bag and put all your shopping from other department stores in there, haha. Joking aside, save yourself. I Love Nordstrom's Rack at Totem Lake. Although I didn't use to shop here much prior to 2021, it is now my number one go-to store. I go at least twice a week to see if they have anything new. Parking is no problem and the price point for the quality of merchandise is unbeatable and blows doors on Macy's and even discount stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's. This is especially true when you add in the amazing customer service Nordstrom's Rack provides. The buyers here are right on trend and I find so many cute things here. It doesn't at all feel like a clearing house for unwanted items. Instead, it is clear Nordstrom's Rack knows its customers and what they want to buy and how they want to be treated. Since I came back to shop in 2022, Nordstrom's Rack has become a different store. While there are deep discounts on a few of the Nordstrom designer items, I really come here to shop for the name brand lower price collections made exclusively for this store. My favorite sections are shoes, housewares, and casual/career pants and blouses from T Tahari and Max Studio. I also love the staff who perfectly balance being helpful and also staying out of the way when you need privacy. Another reason I love this store is their manager, Rachel Raine, the best retail manager I have ever met in my 10 years owning and managing retail stores in California and my experience as an active consumer/ customer. Her leadership shows in both her problem-solving skills working directly with customers and her successful management of the store operations. Most retail managers attempt to satisfy you just enough to get you out the door. While they offer to investigate your issue they rarely call back. Not Rachel! This Christmas I purchased some gift cards for friends. Unfortunately, I lost one of them and was freaking out thinking I would have to come up with another $50.00 to replace it . Ms. Raine was so kind and sympathetic, despite the store being packed with Christmas shoppers, she took the time to diligently call corporate, research my issue and replace the lost gift card. I was so thankful! Ms. Raine obviously loves her job and goes the extra mile to provide amazing customer service. Her leadership also shows in the actions and attitudes of the other employees who seem to like their jobs and are also really diligent, helpful and considerate. Another great feature of this store is the availability of shopping carta. It makes shopping so much easier when you don't have to lug all the stuff around yourself. I have no idea why Macy's doesn't offer carts because it makes trying things on all at once in an organised way, much easier. If you haven't shopped at Nordstrom's Rack in a while you should really give this gem of a store another try. read more

Whomever decided it was a good idea to open a location next to Trader Joe's made a really bad decision. People drive like they own the place, parking is abysmal, drivers zoom through the busy crosswalk, and the clientele at this location are rude, loud, and just plain careless. I was using crutches and had to use the elevator here. With signs clearly posted everywhere about the Covid-19 spacing rules in the elevator, a family of 3 women, a toddler, and a stroller carrying a baby being pushed by another woman all speaking loudly began to enter the elevator car. I had to say "if one of you wants to go up first in this car with me you can come in, but there is a maximum of 2 allowed, based on the sign" to which the younger woman of the group did not respond or even acknowledge she had heard me and almost entered pulling the stroller behind her. I repeated that there were only "2 maximum allowed" and she exited without saying anything. Next I got to the main floor (2) and the elevator opened to the kids section of the store. Directly to the left are the scarves and accessories section where a woman was speaking loudly using her speakerphone on her smartphone. I get it, you only have two hands to shop...so buy one of the pretty bluetooth headphones or earbuds Nordstrom Rack sells and save everyone the headache, please! I can't play music on my phone while I'm shopping so why is it okay for you to broadcast your call on speakerphone? Nordstrom Rack managers should have offered her the option to purchase the bluetooth headphones or kindly step outside to finish up the call. I had to crutch to the other side of the store to get away from yet another inconsiderate shopper. As if that weren't enough to get me to leave the store, I attempted to look at some clothing rounders. I had a hard time as nobody was following the arrows on the ground and the narrow width of the aisles made it nearly impossible to navigate the store while maintaining a safe 6 ft of distance away from other shoppers. All people I encountered shopping here, regardless of were rude, did not keep their distance, and scowled as I tried to crutch around the store and keep my distance from them. I really did not enjoy the experience here and did not feel comfortable. Needless to say I won't be coming back to this location. read more

2 stars for the store (which is limited by the size) + 1 star for the staff When I heard a Rack was opening in Totem Lake, it seems to be too good to be true. Yup, too good to be true. This store is modest in size. Most things are there. Much less on luxury goods, jewelry, etc. You need to go to downtown or Factoria for those. For average clothing and shoes, it's all there, just in less quantity. There are some home items, again, not a lot. The staff is nice. I've encountered some very long lines, but it's always moved quickly. The relatively small store size (maybe half of Factoria?) has kept me from going regularly just to see what's there, which is how the Rack ought to draw people. Ah well. This Nordstrom Rack specializes in clothes for rich teens or young adults that come from money. This weekend I toured 5 Nordstrom Racks on my quest to find rain boots on sale (there's a Clear the Racks Promotion happening this weekend, so an additional 25% off all red tag clearance). Instead of reviewing Nordstrom Rack as a brand in general I'll review just this store. This store is organized like the SF Powell Street one. You take the escalator up and arrive at handbags. They had a good selection - better than Downton Seattle's. Past that is shoes. I was impressed at the quantity of the small shoes (sizes 4 - 6.5) they had, suggesting they cater more to younger and/ or Asian clientele. As a tiny-footed person I love this direction. In comparison, Northgate had very few options in my size - less than a rack; and Downtown Seattle had an extremely limited selection below size 6. There were good brands available too: Rag & Bone, Steve Madden, Blondo. Their designer shoes are not separated from the rest of their shoes though, meaning sometimes you'll pick up one you love, see its $300, and then have to put it back down again. My only gripe was with the clothes. It might because I went later in the sale, but there were few things in my size on sale. I border between small and medium, and am a 27 in denim. There were literally only two size 27 pants on the jeans sale rack, and large quantities of most of the other sizes. I suspect more teens shop here (there's a ton of Free People and other brands my little sister told me were cool) so there's more demand for those sizes; I only wish the supply met the demand. XXS, XS, Larges, and XL sized-people will have better luck shopping here. Side note, I did see a lot of XXS mixed in with the smalls, but they aren't given their own section. Their designer clothes section was the second largest I saw, coming in after the Seattle Downtown location. They sort by size, not designer. The only designer I remember them having was Vince, but there were certainly multiple other brands. This Nordstrom Rack had a Kids + mens section, but I didn't investigate them. I did glance at the kids shoes though, and noticed they have a large big kid selection, whereas Factoria's kids shoe section specializes more in little-kid shoes. All together I would return to this Nordstrom Rack again, but I'm also a twenty something who grew up as a scholarship kid and am now trying to dress like all the rich kids I went to high school with, so I can belatedly fit in. If that's your style, or you're an actual high schooler, you'll love this store. Here's a quick guide to all the Nordstrom Racks in King County I've toured: Seattle Downtown - Largest selection of designer finds, but not for kids Northgate - For the bargain buyer; lots of under $10 finds, but also poorer-quality clothes Downtown Bellevue - Best for the corporate dresser looking for office outfits Kirkland - Specializes in clothes for rich teens or young adults that come from money Factoria - Hot mess. They don't seem understand their target market - they are half low quality outlet clothes and half ultra expensive clothes like $500 Gucci shirts. read more

Glad there's a Nordstrom Rack in this flourishing area! My friend and I came here to check out the new Nordstrom Rack in the Totem Lake area, and was impressed by how clean and open the layout was. It was also the day before Christmas, so although they were pretty busy with last-minute shoppers, it never felt crowded, since it's spacious here. Everything is on one floor, as you take the escalator up to the upper level once you enter the main entrance from the lot. The stock is limited though. In certain departments - there isn't nearly enough, compared to other Racks; so hopefully later on, the store will be able to carry more, especially for home goods, men's and designer brands. Service was good, and liked how friendly all the employees were here, which the downtown Bellevue can take a hint at! Therefore, whenever I'm in the area, I'll stop by to see what new stock the Rack may have, but wouldn't go out of my way to visit this particular location. read more

I didn't know what to do on a rainy day in Seattle so I got gyros and went shopping. This is what I do for fun, on a rainy day in Seattle, with 2 hours of daylight left because of the new winter hours. I don't live a very interesting life...or do I? Holy moly, it's been a minute since I've been to this side of town; it's newly developed and there's still construction going on. Nice touch to Totem Lake's neighborhood for there to be a shopping center. This is 2 story with only the top floor useful with merchandise, literally the first floor is just so you can enter and take either the elevator or escalator up. This store was easy to get around, it's basically just a giant rectangle. Not a huge selection on accessories/shoes, but I found a few cute clothing items. It's great to shop on a weekday when it's not flooded with people. This concludes my uneventful Monday. At least I'll be looking fresh at work tomorrow with my new clothes. The quality of the clothing has definitely gone downhill over the years. On top of that, they make it nearly impossible to shop their store. They overfill the racks, you can't view the merchandise let alone get it off the rack without other items falling. It never seems to be organized. Have spent quite a bit here on jeans. Even marked down a decent pair is usually over $120. Bought a pair that ripped after normal use after just a couple months. Brought them in and asked if I could get an exhange or just... anything? I don't know. When I buy a pair of "high end" jeans I expect them to last longer than a couple of months. I love what is going on at Totem Lake, even though I rarely make it out there. Still, the plans in store are amazing and I'm super excited to see this area grow. I mean come on, they had me at Whole Foods. After a doctor's appointment and before a dentist appointment today, I had some time to kill so stopped by the Rack to check out it's newest East side location. 10 minutes in and I felt like I was done. When I think about the other Nordstrom's Racks, they are getting very expansive and creative with their space. This was more like a Nordstrom Rack appetizer. Or an Eltana sized bagel compared to a Blazing Bagel. This Rack just felt very small to me, with more to be desired. In fact, I was looking for some work-out gear and had a very hard time trying to even find it. Why? Because the 2 mini racks which blended in with every other mini rack made finding some yoga pants fairly challenging. Also, the exact shape of the store felt more like a parallelogram and lacked symmetry. I could be wrong but I noticed the odd shape of the space fairly immediately. In terms of service, it was great. In terms of selection, meh, I've experienced better. I would say as long as you do not expect this to be a comparable Rack to others you are familar with, you'll be fine. This to me, felt more like a Nordstrom Capsule Wardrobe Store. read more

Ive gone in multiple times and didn't really find anything worth getting. I'm not sure if it's the layout or products, but I just don't like this location. I don't have a good feeling when I'm in there. I really enjoy going to other locations. At Christmas time I was so pumped to find some boots that I fell in love with. I grabbed them and paid for them. Got home and found out I purchased 2 left feet! I might dance like I have 2 left feet, but I actually don't!! Went back to fix the problem and they said they don't actually carry those shoes and they didn't know how they got to their store in the first place. Whhaaaat?!? Ugh When I checked out the first time, the cashier should have noticed they were two left and it came across that this store doesn't have a clue whats going on with their merchandise!! I know that they've recently opened in 2017, so I'm hoping I can change this review in the future. As of right now, I'll head to Lynnwood if I need a Rack "fix" read more

Can I give them zero stars? I placed an online order for pickup in the store. When I picked up my order, they gave me a package ordered by another person with the same name (they did not properly verify the order number and check ID, address, phone number). When I went back to the store to get my package and return the incorrect one, they'd given my order to the other person. I was told that I could get a refund for the jeans I'd ordered, IF the other person chose to bring the package back. So, I'm out $80 if the other person decides to keep my jeans? Are you kidding me? The manager then retracted that statement, but it remains to be seen how this will play out and at this point all I have is verbal commitments that I'll get either the jeans or my money back. Right now I have nothing, not the money or the jeans, or any way to know when I'll get either. The kicker is that I was shopping with a gift card my husband gave me for Christmas, and now I've been super unhappy and frustrated with this situation. He feels badly about a gift he gave me that has caused so much stress instead of bringing me happiness and a treat for myself, and we possibly lost money on this also, if either the jeans or the money don't materialize. I feel like I'm being penalized for the store's mistake which is absolutely not right at all. I've taken time out of my day on two separate days to go to the store and deal with this and it's not resolved yet. read more

The old Totem Lake mall was a retail black hole for many years, so having anything decent in the newly rebuilt mall is a little bit of heaven on earth for Kirklanders - and having a Nordstrom Rack in Kirkland is a LOT of heaven on earth. It is not a huge store, but it's comparable in size to the Factoria location I used to have to drive to. It's a bit of a jumble as these stores often are, but of course the treasure hunt is part of the fun. The shoe selection, my primary target, was quite good, and I was delighted that there was a separate section for boots and a really nice variety of them. I found exactly what I was looking for, and the price was not a steal, but was very good for the brand. While I was looking, there was another group that was having trouble finding a size, and were actually able to get help from an employee on Black Friday. The other section I spent the most time in was accessories, and while the selection wasn't vast, I scored some good finds, including a hat on clearance, and two pairs of Jenny Packham earrings for a song. There were lots of nice gift type items, holiday merchandise, and a good selection of designer jeans in particular. I didn't leave with piles of stuff, but I was happy with my finds and the prices, the good customer service, and the ease of getting to and through the store. read more

I used to like shopping here a lot. But recently I bought a pair of shoes in downtown rack for 99$+tax. Later on I found out these pair of shoes are 27$+ tax on rack online store. I brought them back to token lake rack. Since I had such good experience in rack before, I thought they will do price match. BUT Nordstrom RACK DO NOT do PRICE ADJUSTMENT!! I mean it is a such big chains store. :( The reason I give three stars is not mainly bc they don't have price adjustment. The manger who I talked to doesn't help at all. all she saying is: we don't do price adjustment. And we don't take returns if price sticker is off. DON'T GO TO THIS STORE. Yesterday I bought shoes from this store, and the sale rep who are working there told me that we are not allowed to try shoes, when I went back home and try them, they did not fit. Shoes were small and I went back to the store to return them. They told me that I can't return them, because I used the finals sale 40% off on my recipe and they said If you were not sure to buy the shoes, you shouldn't use the final sale. I told the manager that no one didn't tell me about this and I really didn't know and they just told me that they have a 40% off on everything. The manager was not familiar with the customer service and he just wants to say something as a Robot because he was in a hurry to leave sooner. He didn't care to help me. Also, one of the employees who is working there, she was an Asian, every 5 minutes comes to us and says we are tired we need to go home, please don't do messy things and she spoke loudly and rudely. I came here to look for one thing: a blazer. I ended up buying several other things, which is great! But unfortunately, I did not find the thing I was really looking for. There were options, but they were limited and too stylized to come across as professional. I think this place works really well for a browsing experience when you feel curious or bored and just want to be surprised by something you didn't know you wanted. It's not really great for when you know exactly what you are looking for; then it becomes a needle in a haystack type situation. Staff was nice when I interacted with them, though I was never asked if I needed assistance. Which would have been helpful, because I couldn't grasp how things were organized. Sometimes it was by style, other times by brand, and other times by size. I spent a lot of time going in circles. My biggest complaint was the obvious side-eye I got from their "undercover" security personnel as I was leaving. I pulled my phone out of my purse in the elevator (which I only took at the direction of staff because the escalator was broken) and the dude was not at all discrete about making sure I wasn't pulling product out of my pockets. It was so obvious and rude. I fished around in my purse a little bit more just to mess with him. I'm not sure how I got profiled as a potential thief, but it was pretty insulting, especially after buying a significant amount of items. Overall, I'd shop here again, I just hope they put a bit more thought into how they can keep their product safe without making their consumers feel alienated. read more

This is my go to place for quality shoes and clothes at a very good price. Sometimes you can find items at a huge discount there. Wait for sales to take advantage of additional discounts.
