Absolutely fabulous is a wonderful store. The staff are always friendly, especially to dogs, which is very important.

My daughter and I stopped by Absolutely Fabulous while our boat was docked in Kirkland. We were dressed casually because we'd been out on the lake, and my daughter--who is heading into her senior year--had spotted a beautiful dress in the front window that she thought might be perfect for her senior photos. We walked in, patiently waited while the employee finished helping another customer, and expected at least a simple "Hi, I'll be with you in a moment." Instead, once the customer left, we were completely ignored. Not a greeting, not eye contact, not an acknowledgment that we were standing there. The employee simply started hanging clothes as though we were invisible. It was one of the most unwelcoming retail experiences I've had. The atmosphere came across as elitist and judgmental--as if our casual boating clothes somehow meant we weren't worth acknowledging. The irony is that we absolutely had the means and every intention of buying a dress and supporting a local Kirkland business. Instead, we took our money elsewhere. A boutique should make people feel welcome, regardless of what they're wearing. Unfortunately, this store made us feel judged the moment we walked through the door. I won't be back, and I certainly can't recommend it based on how we were treated. read more

I must say I am impressed with this place! Yesterday, I bought a dress for the NYE 2025 coming up here in a few days and it was absolutely fabulous!! Just like the store's name! I also bought 4 bracelets, 2 winter scarves and a winter beanie! What a joy it was! I love all the stuff I bought yesterday. This was not the first time I bought stuff from them! I also bought this fabulous dress to wear at my wedding here for less than $100 (see photo). I absolutely loved it!! This was my 2nd dress as my main bridal gown was fancier, longer and with a small train so I can't dance in it. This pearl straps dress was just perfect, hitting at my ankle so I can dance in it. My daughter also scored a beautiful pink dress in the Spring of 2025 that she plans to wear when there's a special occasion. read more

I have never left a business a bad review before but my experience was so disappointing. I have shopped here before and they do have a decent selection. My family friend gave to me some very nice quality pieces that simply weren't my style, but they were Nordstrom or higher quality and I went in to try and see if they were interested in selling them. After the lady at the counter browsed what I had, she told me they don't accept sizes that large. These were mostly a size large and a few extra large pieces because my family friend was very tall. Also offended because they could've fit me. After not much consideration, I've decided to do what I should've done from the beginning and that is donate them to a women's shelter. If you're thinking of consigning here remember these are just clothes and please please donate what you can. read more

Went here to browse the selection: mainly outerwear, handbags and shoes. They definitely had an amazing selection of all three. Also, the jewelry!!!!! picked out some great finds. However, I spent about 20 min in the store, was up close and personal time with the staff and never spoken to. Even when purchasing, no engagement. You'll go there, snag all the good stuff, and what will I be left with but good karma? Having been a customer for years, be nice and leave me some good stuff, ok? The two sisters that run this shop are low-key, friendly, and helpful. Whether you're in the market for hats, sunglasses, scarves, coats, formals, casual, sports wear, jewelry, handbags, or shoes you'll probably find something and it'll be clean, steamed, and fairly priced. They have a good amount of new designer items and a sale rack where some awesome deals can be found. Keep in mind that they also have some designer-inspired things so if you wanna make sure that Louis Vuitton handbag is authentic, it'll pay to know your stuff. So rude. We went to consign clothes, we stood waiting for some help at the front...literally right infront of an employee and she didn't acknowledge us till we said something. When we said we had clothes she looked at us and said "Well it has to be high end, only two to three years old..." Continued to tell us the requirements with her back turned to us. We did have designer clothes but not worth our time. Majority of the clothes in the shop were more than 5 years old, overpriced and ugly. So rude, I don't know how this shop is still here. read more

This place is a literal joke. I came here to sell $1000 MCM bag in perfect condition. Dropped it off and they called me telling me that they would only give me $100 for it. I told them definitely not. They decided to sell my bag anyway without my permission. When I called them asking about picking the bag up they told me they had already sold it I was shocked and confused and the Lady told me that she would give me $100 check in about a month for what my bag was worth for them. Came to pick up my check and it was $72. Lady at the front had a major attitude too. I guarantee if they did that to any other client someone else would be screaming and cussing them out. She told me they only sold the bag for $120. So therefore I was getting $72. This place is nothing but a bunch of scammers and liars. Taking advantage of people and basically stealing from them. I know for a fact that they sold my bag for much more. I hardly ever see any customers in here and now I know why. Place is trash. And now coming to their yelp page I see why they have so many bad reviews. I have been a customer of Absolutely Fabulous since they had their small shop behind Hectors. If I were to guess, that's around 16 years? The staff has always been friendly, kind and helpful. My closet is filled with high quality, name brand clothes that I have purchased at a fraction of retail cost. I have purchased shoes, travel bags, shirts, pants and coats. I appreciate that ownership is vey selective about what they agree to take in on consignment. I have had plenty of clothes rejected by ownership when I have dropped them off for consideration. I learn from them what sells and the correct condition that the clothes must be in for AF to agree to sell them. Their standards are very high but that's what I appreciate most as a customer. If you enjoy the hunt for high quality clothes at very reasonable prices, then AF might be for you. read more

I took several items to consign 6 weeks ago. When I called to check on my sold balance they told me that they donated my items because they were never picked up. When I asked them how come I was never notified about it, they told me that they left me a message, which I never received. What a scam! I don't recommend to consign there. Unfortunately, my son purchased items he thought were a good deal and come to find out this shop charged way more than what they're worth. He found them much cheaper on Amazon and eBay. So, this review isn't about shopping at Absolutely Fabulous, its about taking your clothes here to be sold. If you take your clothes here you have to call in every month to see if your clothes have sold, calling in and actually asking if your clothes have been sold is the ONLY way that you will get paid for your clothes. If you don't call you never get paid. I guess they think this is the best system for them but to me it comes across as hoping that you forget to call so that they can keep your money. If I have clothes that sell at your store shouldn't you just automatically send me a check because you owe me that money and not make me jump through hoops just to obtain what is rightfully mine? Wouldn't this in fact be easier than having to keep track of who you sent a check to and who you haven't sent a check to? Clothes sell, write them a check...its simple. To be fair I did get paid (as long as you follow their over complected system). If it wasn't for the additional weird customer service I would at least give them 2 stars. The lady who helped me was weird and rude both when I dropped off my clothes and when I came back for the check. When I went to pick up my check there just seemed to be a slight reluctance about the whole thing - super strange!! I brought along a couple of friends who verified the strangeness as well. I just don't like their process or their attitude and I won't ever take my clothes here again that is for sure. read more

Honestly I don't know why I come in here. I think the clothes are overpriced and they never acknowledge your existence the entire time you're in the store. But here's why I won't be back. I don't have a single memory of the 20 or so times I've been here when the employees aren't talking extreme amounts of trash about fellow co-workers. I confess I was not too excited about this shop when my daughter and I first went in: nobody glanced up from their paperwork to say hello or offer help if we needed. Similarly, when I asked a question about European sizing conversions, I felt a bit brushed off, but then something seemed to click and the clerk mentioned that the brand I was holding "runs large." That was good information because the sweater in question did run large enough to fit me, and the sales lady seemed to really engage after that. Finding out that my daughter likes Lululemon, she helped find Lulu pieces in the store that she hadn't seen, for example. The store itself is pretty and the merchandise is just gorgeous - top name brands in pristine condition. I had trouble figuring out a lot of the sizes, and the clothes are not arranged by size (but by color), which is confusing, but I have the same gripe about most consignment stores. I walked out with an Escada sweater that doesn't seem to have ever been worn and is beautiful beyond belief - I still can't believe I own it. I'll be back for sure. read more

Yesterday was my first time going into consignment boutiques...and wow...what fun! I came into Absolutely Fabulous looking for a gown for a black tie affair event. The selection of formal wear wasn't HUGE but the lady working found the PERFECT dress for me. I got a hello right upon walking in, she helped find the dress, zipped me up, gave me her honest opinion of how it looked on me, AND found the perfect clutch to go with the outfit. I am absolutely tickled pink at my fancy new outfit. They only sell very high quality/name brand things at very good prices. I left the store feeling like a princess and only spending around $85 for it all. They have cute shoes and jewelry as well. Thank you Absolutely Fabulous! I will definitely be back! read more

I like shopping at Ab Fab ~ of all consignment stores I've perused, I like their selection the best (after The Closet in Boston). The labels are good ~ you can tell they curate their stock. The prices are pretty good ~ not rock bottom but not out of reach. The staff are pleasant but they stay out of your way because there is a LOT in there and you need to concentrate! The items are displayed in color groups, so you want to look for the size on the price tag (easy to find). The brand is also on the price tag, which I love! I have certain brands I prefer because I know how they fit me. Ab Fab makes it easy to sort through and find what I want in size and brand quickly. There is also a nice sale rack in back with plenty to discover for the shopper who wants an even better deal! 25% and then 50% off ~ some great finds. It's by color and style so if I'm looking for a black dress I go right to the black dress section, it's very easy to find items and they have a great selection. The owner of this store was about to run me over on purpose in the entrance of the parking lot, while I was trying to lock my car with the remote. I recently brought in several gently used items for consignment. The lady who was helping took in 15 items (probably half of my initial load) and was very helpful. I called today to check on the status (you are only paid once your items sell) and Marlette, the woman working, was extremely short with me, unwilling to answer my questions. When I questioned the policy asking why some items had been pulled off the floor, she quickly began yelling and hung up on me. Shocked, I called back to ask to speak with the owner, and again, she yelled and told me not to call back. Yikes. Do NOT do business here. I took in a necklace to sell shortly before I moved across the country. I let them know I would be moving and asked if the check could be sent to me. I was told there was no problem. I called about a month after I moved and asked if my check could be sent. The woman on the phone was extremely rude. Absolutely rude. I called to make sure they consigned on Sundays and that they were accepting the brands I wanted to consign. A very positive yes over the phone. When I came in to the empty store the lady said she was incredibly busy and only consigned Mon through Wednesday. When I told her about the mis information I received over the phone she agreed to browse through the clothes but informed me she would be veeery slow. Then she snorts at me and says they currently only take Tommy Bahama. Plenty of places to consign, if you want friendly service and accurate info, don't go here. read more

Not in love, but didn't hate it, either. The main issue is just that it feels very, very crowded. The items varied, I think they may carry more retro-stuff then a lot of the other consignments but I'm not sure. It didn't feel as hip as some of the other kirkland consignment stores. UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, PRETENTIOUS, INCONSIDERATE, Treated me like a pariah. Took formal wear from our wedding (tux and complete wedding dress ensemble), my dress suits (many new w/tags still attached), my late husband's VP executive suits and shoes as well as his Italian cashmere blend winter coat. When I checked in to pick up a check for sold items and reclaim the garments that did not sell I discovered that they had lost some of my garments. They gave no explanation except "there must have been an error when items were brought into the inventory" They didn't even apologize. I really used to enjoy this store before they moved back to downtown Kirkland. They have raised thier prices considerably, I saw a sweater that I paid $39.00 for new at Ann Taylor there for $50.00. The racks are very crowded and they use air freshener that is so thick I can only stay in the store for about ten minutes at a time. There must be some changes with the employment as well because the day I was in there with my daughter the two women were really trash talking thier boss, it reminded me of a reality show but it was uncomfortable after a while!
