The day before I was supposed to pick it up, they called me and told me they had "lost" my stole. Instead of taking accountability, they told me to go buy another stole myself and that they would embroider the replacement "on the spot." I ended up taking time off work trying to deal with this mess, and to make things worse, I could barely even get ahold of the store while trying to figure out what was going on. When I asked if they could at least reimburse me for losing my stole, they told me they couldn't because they were "no longer making a profit" off my order. There was little to no apology, no urgency, and absolutely no professionalism. Then after all the back and forth, they suddenly "found" my stole and told me to come pick it up at 5:30. It became pretty obvious that they never actually lost it -- they just lied about it to buy themselves more time. This was one of the most stressful customer service experiences I've had, especially considering this was for a major life event. Really shitty service. I would not recommend trusting them with anything important or time-sensitive.

We experienced it yesterday traveling between Pleasant Hill, Emeryville and Pinole locations for pickup. Pick up is always a breeze. I receive a text and email when my order is ready. The pick up area is usually near the cash registers at the front of the store under your last name. If your items are oversized or have an order larger than the pick up bins then you will need to check in with staff for retrieval. The store itself is well organized and maintained. With the signage, it is easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and willing to assist with directions or questions regarding a project DIY. Coupons are always available ranging from 15 to 30 percent off. Pre-pandemic it was 40% quite often, I rarely see those these days.

I received notification that one order was out for delivery, and I received that item quickly and in perfect condition. Then I received a notification that the second item was out for delivery, and I expected the same great delivery experience. However, this wasn't the case. The second item was never delivered, even though the driver said he did. My "delivery" driver, Adrian G., who works for Uber, came to my house, walked to the driveway, and took a picture of the first item, which was sitting near my front door. He never ever delivered the second item, which was identical to the first item, only larger (these items were supposed to be a pair). He did this to cover himself in case I filed a complaint. This same-day delivery service is offered through Uber, Door Dash, and other delivery services, and there is no way to track your order or to get in touch with Uber, etc to complain about their delivery drivers. Fortunately, I paid through Paypal. I filed a case with Paypal, informing them that I never received the item, and I received a refund. This was the only option for resolution. I guess me AND Adrian got something out of the deal. I got my money back and he, she, or they, got a sparkly disco-ball-looking ghost for his, her, or their front porch. I guess I am writing this review as a cautionary tale about same-day delivery. You risk not getting what you ordered.
