I really enjoyed my pho and bun Bo hue here! They offer small bowls! Yay! The soup was not greasy at all!! I was so pleasantly surprised! Also, they wipe down everything! There are a TON of pho restaurants in the DFW area (especially in Garland) but Noodlelicious is one of those restaurants that actually have something to make them stand out: fresh, in house noodles. When you order the pho, you get the choice between fresh and instant noodles - instant noodles are what you get at every other pho restaurant. It's not instant in the way you think of instant ramen, but instant as in they're prepackaged and boiled before put into the broth. The fresh noodles are made in house and have a much different texture than instant noodles. The fresh ones are much more chewier, with a much thicker and softer texture than the instant one. Personally, I'm not a fan of it, but my parents love it. I don't like it because I don't think the noodle soaks the taste of the broth as well as instant noodles do. But when you try the fresh noodles, you can DEFINITELY tell that they're fresh, which I definitely appreciated. The broth here is good and not oily or overly sweet or bland like some other places, but came out slightly lukewarm. I get that it was extremely busy, but it still doesn't excuse lukewarm food. The meat on the other hand was either old or was a cut of meat I was not familiar with. Ended up eating everything but the meat. Outside of the unusual flavor the seasoning was lacking. Disappointed. Noodle lockouts was not delicious. Ordered 2 bowls of pho and the bean sprout plate had 2 stem of basil no jalapeños. Another order was the crispy noodle with seafood and tofu. Unfortunately, I believe a more appropriate name for this restaurant would be Noodledissapointing. My parents and I decided to stop by for a quick brunch before visiting my great-uncle in the hospital. Let's start with apps and drinks: we shared an order of the shrimp/pork spring rolls and pork egg rolls. The spring rolls were probably the redeeming factor of the meal. The peanut sauce was a little thick, but that is not a huge deal. The egg rolls however, were not crispy and he filling lacked seasoning. The fish sauce also completely lacked flavor; it was neither sweet salty. My Vietnamese iced coffee was very sweet, lacking the rich coffee flavor that Vietnamese iced coffee is known for. For my entree, I had the shaking beef and rice. The beef was incredibly sweet. The marinade used for the beef was overpowered with sugar. My parents had the seafood egg noodle soup and the vermicelli bowl. The soup was fishy and lacked flavor, while the meat of the vermicelli bowl once again was incredibly sweet. Service was typical of a Vietnamese restaurant. It should be noted that it was very busy when we came, so I can be forgiving of this factor. Although the presentation of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant are decent, the flavor profile of all the dishes were incredibly disappointing. Just tried their rice dish with Korean ribs. It's okay. The sauce for the rice was great however the ribs were... okay. The ribs were very sweet. My mom loves it but I prefer to have a balance in sweet/salty in my meat. My mom had their pho and she really likes it. She said the fresh noodles taste like back home. I don't like fresh noodles because it's way too soft and almost feel like I eating overcooked noodles. I like to have a bit of texture and chew. The broth of their pho is the same as what I had before. This place feels like it is cater to Americans or people that enjoy the texture of soft noodles. This is my mom's new favorite pho place. I do not appreciate you questioning whether or not I was even at your establishment to make my updated review. To answer your questions: 1) Yes, I was there last night (10/24/14). I came at around 8:20 PM with my husband and twin daughters. Check your security footage. 2) No, I am not a "frustrated competitor" writing fake reviews. Your competitors have nothing to be concerned about. I came back based on your initial response awhile ago saying that your machine would be fixed in the "4th quarter". I intended to try the "fresh made noodles" so I could update my initial review. 3) Yes...I only came back to try your "fresh made noodles". I did not read your advertisement in July about your fresh made noodles. I don't have to, your name is "Pho Tuoi Nhu Y". The main draw of your business is the fresh noodles and that's what sets you apart from other pho places thus peaking my interest. 4) Again...I do not have the time nor the motivation to write false reviews. That's not the point of Yelp and there is no "game". People have opinions that they share and some will be negative. Just because I have a negative experience does not make this a fake review. How very arrogant of you to think that negative reviews of your restaurant are fake reviews. 5) You should try advertising that you don't make fresh noodles currently through other advertising outlets. Like me, I'm sure many of your guests do not read Tre magazine. Or put a temporary banner that you currently do not have fresh noodles. Food was Pho-king delicious!!! Noodles were so good! Plenty of meat and the broth was better then most.

The only reason why I took my family to Noodelicious was because my co-worker told me that it tasted pretty good. As soon as we got there, the service was slow, un-attentive, and the place is super-freaking dirty! I swear to you, I saw a rat droppings on my table. He didn't dry our table after he wiped it down. There were bean sprouts and onions on my chair and your wait staff told us to sit down. Your wait staff did NOT attend my family until 5 minutes later! Nobody brought us our waters. Nobody brought us our menus. It was not until my wife had flag someone from behind your counter to attend to us. Your staff noticed that there were only two pairs of chopsticks (no spoons) on my table when we first sat down. So, he brought us a whole bunch of chopsticks where one of them had a bean sprout on it straight from your dishwasher and still no spoons. We ordered three bowls of pho. My wife ordered your Chef's Special Pho Tai Lan. As soon as your wait staff delivered out the veggie plate for our three bowls of pho, there were no lime. No lemons. No ngo gai. But heck...you know what the waiter suggested, "How about nuoc dam pha for your pho?" Seriously, what Vietnamese person eats pho with vinegar??? But ONE tiny plate of veggies for three bowls of pho at our table?!?!? How stingy can you be??? Once your wait staff brought us our bowls of pho...tsk...tsk...tsk...it goes from okay, average, good, better, excellent. Your pho is barely okay. Nothing special. Not even your Chef's Special was okay. Your pho had no star anise. If it did have star anise, then you didn't have enough. The broth lacked the aroma of pho. Your large bowl of pho lacked a lot of meat. And then you charged us $6.95 for one small bowl of pho. I really don't understand why you claim to have "Delicious Noodles"? And all in this very time, my wife and I are still waiting for our ca phe sua da. Our drinks did not come out until we had to remind your wait staff. We decided to order ca phe sua da from you guys is because we saw one of your waiters bring out a traditional Vietnamese ca phe sua da to another table. So we decided to order a traditional Vietnamese ca phe sua da...BUT by the time your waiter delivered it to us, it was already in a styrofoam cups??? Hence, we did not have the traditional Vietnamese style (not the same coffee cup that you delivered to other table). Expectation of your ca phe sua da shot down the drain so fast. The worse part is how your restaurant was so so so very dirty. In every inch of the floor was dirty napkins, used straws on the floor, empty bowls (plural not singular) and dirty dishes on several tables. Tables along your wall just full of empty dishes. The table right next to us was empty. Nobody sat there the entire time we were there and nobody, not one person, would sweep underneath that table next to us. Nobody would sweep the main two aisles AT ALL! Not even for one minute of trying to sweep the floor. The only reason why I'm giving one star for this restaurant is because 15 to 20 minutes later is when our waiter came back with the lime. Good job on that...because we were practically half way with our bowls when he gave us the lime. For the record, I do not own a restaurant. I do not work for any of your competitors. Therefore, I do not give false accusations of my first experience trying out your restaurant. My family used to own a Pho Restaurant back in the 80s and therefore, I know from first hand what needs to be addressed. And for a person who claims that Yelp is small percentage make up of your consumers, then why do you personally care to attack each and every one person who gave you less than three stars. Why do you not learn from your past mistakes and correct them immediately? Have you've ever heard the number one rule of "The customer is always right."? This is probably my most favorite pho place. It is extremely flavorful. You get a lot of meat in your pho and it is fairly cheap. They also have homemade fresh noodles (banh pho tuoi) like the ones they serve in Vietnam. I don't think there are any other pho joints around the area that have fresh noodles like this. read more

Next, when you said that cell phone of the waiters are locked at the draw, you meant we're liars? My friends saw that, too! I just share what I have been through. I also read all the review of others and your responses to them, and I think that when you read a negative review, you should listen to the reviewer rather than deny flatly like that. I even asked my friend to try the broth in my bowl, they did say it was very sweet! I don't think I'm gonna come back here again, no matter your restaurant is the BEST in town or only your restaurant has the fresh noodle-which I have never seen. The way you response to the customers is so rude. As a manager, you should know how to please your customers. I use Yelp a lot, and the reason I don't write review doesn't mean that I am new in here. Whomp. Sorry Noodlelicious, I brought Mom's here and she was like " Hillary, I no like this place." I can't have the pho here because there's meat in it..... SO I brought the next best thing, my Momma. I told her Noodlelicious says that their Pho has no MSG in it ( or less of it then normal) and she looked at me like I was crazy. According to her, not only is their MSG in the broth there is a lot of it. She also complained that their "small" is smaller than other places. i.e. Pho Bac AKA Her favorite. While she was telling me about all her woes. I was eating my Vegetable Stir Fried Noodles. Now, for the good of this highly scientific post I've ordered the Vegetable and/or Seafood Stir Fried Noodles here three times ( on different occasions... maybe). I've concluded that the cooks here like sugar. Its not that the noodles were so sweet that I couldn't eat it. Its just that its sweeter than what is necessary. The way I remedy it is to steal the lime wedge they give my Mom for her Pho. Add a splash of lime and a big helping of Sriracha and you should be good. Would I come back here for the stir fried noodles? Nah. If I were in Saigon Mall and am too lazy to go to Tom Yum Thai down the street? Maybe. This review is for com bo luc lac. Its what i buy when i eat here. Very soft melt in your mouth beef you wont find anywhere else. The pho is ok and not bad at all. But the com bo luc lac is very delicious. Try it if you are a fan of it, you wont regret it. Just tried the bun bo hue today. Wow if it's not the best and closest to authentic bun bo hue around dfw. I got pho dac biet with fresh noodles & I think they really made a difference ! The noodles were soft & not as chewy, & the broth of the soup was really good. There was fast service, but it depends on what time you go, I went during the afternoon, so it wasn't as packed. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of authentic Vietnamese food. First off, I'm Vietnamese so this will hopefully add credibility to my review :) At my first visit, I tried the pho. The ratio of noodles to meat was a no-no. Too many noodles!! Broth was only okay... I didn't think of coming back. Then we heard that their bun bo hue was pretty good, so we came back to give it a try. Their bun bo hue is good, but the service is deterring. If you're not Vietnamese, good luck trying to get proper service around here because even we couldn't get what we needed. We asked for spoons like three times and to different waiters. Eventually, my dad got up and found spoons himself. Same thing happened when we needed sugar. I know you can't really expect stellar service at an Asian establishment (let's be honest here). But I don't know, they didn't seem to be very efficient... There were dirty tables waiting to be cleaned, and people waiting to sit down. For pho I recommend Pho Bac, and for bun bo hue I recommend Pho Saigon Noodle and Steak. read more

The broth is like BBh and spicy, it's pho noodles yet there's cucumbers and tomatoes. I want to actually give this place a 3.5 star because of the fresh noodles they have. One of the best places for pho in Garland. Service is lackluster as they don't really put forth the effort to seat their customers. Pho is actually really good but I would suggest to stick with regular noodles instead of their other option "fresh" noodles as it's so soft and sometimes slimy. My friend took me to this place. She is Vietnamese, so I trusted her judgement when it came to trying this place. This place had such good Pho. I don't know what it is about having noodle soup or pho when hung over but it was the perfect panacea for my aches and pains. I get the pho with the whole shibang, meat, tendon, tripe. The soup was absolutely delicious. The favor of the soup is what truly makes noodle soup really good. If the soup is not good, the whole thing is not good. I also got thai tea with boba- no ice, perfect combination at any pho place really. The service is quick but that is to be expected at pretty much all pho places because the pho noodles takes 30 seconds to cook once you put it in broth that is the right temperature. read more

I bought Pho and Bun bo Hue to go so I can't comment anything about service but the food is good. Pho is tasty and the noodles is soft and nice texture. Their meat is good as well. However, the star is Bun bo Hue, a different kind of noodles with spicy soup originally from the central of Vietnam. The soup is so on point and I love it so much. Came in with my family. I ordered "Bun thit nuong" grilled beef vermicelli noodles while everybody ordered beef noodles. My vermicelli noodles were cold and hard like it just came out of the fridge (left over that people store overnight), same with the egg rolls were included. I didn't like it at all but don't want to make a big deal, so I asked the server to reheat my vermicelli noodles. Took him more than 10 minutes. I then asked again for my noodles and he took the same bowl serve it to me without reheating the food. I just ate the grilled beef and left the whole thing untouched. The food here was great but i gotta give one star for their food sanitation. They reuse the basil, which is a very important part in Pho. I noticed that when they clean, the cleaning ladies put beansprouts into the trash bag but put the basils into a separate trays with just basils. That's not the first time i saw that so i think i have to write my first review ever to let everyone know. This practice is cheap and gross.
