My favorite kinds of food places include those that have a relaxing vibe, amazing food, friendly staff and where I leave thinking to myself wow that was worth the expense. Noodlebird is just that kind of place. I shared 8 dishes, including 2 desserts and I'd recommend them all. If you are reading this now, go quickly to get the special Char Siu Bun, this should be moved to the main menu! The bun was soft on the inside, slight crispy on the outside and filled with a sweeter sauce that compliments the pork. Other recommendations are the garlic/spring dumplings, minced soy sauce beef rice bowl, pork noodles and Smokey spicy chicken fried rice. The fried rice had puffed rice as a topper which caused a nice texture and crunch. The soy sauce beef reminded me of Mongolian beef with a flavorful coconut rice and a over medium egg on top. For dessert we split the egg tarts and peanut butter black sesame mochi. The egg tarts had a similar texture as a crème brûlée but in a tart crust. The mochi was interesting, but not as good as the tart. Overall, I'm going back! This meal was $98 with a tip, worth it! read more

We had a really delicious meal here. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and the other dishes we had were tasty too. Layered and nuanced flavors - the spicy items were not overpowering. I have a food allergy, and they were able to either accommodate it, or tell me which dishes to avoid. Service was good, polite and friendly. I would say it was quite flavorless and one-dimensional. Beef Noodles: 3/5 stars. Flavors were okay but undersalted. I don't know if i like the noodle thickness. It's so thick that it doesn't mix with the toppings and seasonings. (same applies to peanut noodles) Shrimp Dumplings: 2/5 stars. Not offensive but unimpressive. The dumplings are great - we had the shrimp and garlic and they are perfect. The sauce they come in is well balanced and flavorful. Beef noodles are good on their own but if you add some of the homemade hot sauce to it, it changes the whole dish with another tasty flavor. Be careful though the ghost pepper sauce is HOT. The noddles will absorb all the sauce up. Yum. Nice variety of craft cocktails. All of them we had were on point. Service is also very friendly and attentive. They have the QR code to order at your table - we struggled with it for our second drink order and they were happy to just put it in for us. This place is so nice, it may make sense for them to just get rid of the QR codes at some point since it adds some stress to reviewing the menu and ordering. Get some hot sauces to go. My favorite is the mango habanero. read more

They have nice and cool interior design. I felt at peace when I came here since I like interior design. They have nice set up in their chair inside for dine in. If you want to feel the presence of air and enjoy the view outside you can enjoy their outside dining. They have nice and great customer service. There are staff who greet and welcome me when I enter and also when I order my food. One of my favorites that I like on their menu was Char Siu BBQ Berkshire Pork. It was so yummy. It was so amazing. It was marinated well. I can't get enough of it. The meat was soft and so tasty. I can have a lot of extra rice if I ate these BBQs. I really suggest this food. You will try these if you come here. The food was delicious. The flavors were something my husband and I have never tried before, but it still felt so homey and nostalgic. All the baked goods were amazing as were the hot sauces which they make in house. The noodles and dumplings (also made in house) were unlike any I've tried before. Honestly, everything was amazing... food, decor, and we got to talk to the owner who is so down to earth and has such an artistic way of viewing food. I usually don't write reviews but this restaurant triggered me. Been to Macau twice and I should say that this is nothing like the cuisine in Macau. The flavors in pork noodles were not cohesive, the char siu was hard and more on the salty side. The half charcoal chicken had no flavor, you really have to douse it in all the spicy sauce on the counter so that it would taste like anything. Nandos peri-peri chicken is 100x better. So good. I mean, so so so good. I was hesitant to come back given all of the news last year, but a few back office employees and contractors I know swore up and down that real change has been made, so we gave it a shot. I went on a Saturday around 7:30 and there was no wait. We sat on the covered porch, ordered through the app and had drinks in 5 min and food within 15. We got the pork fried rice, garlic shrimp, cucumber salad, eggplant and some cocktails (too much food for 2, but I have no regrets). I can't explain the deliciousness that was this food. The pork was an umami bomb--super salty, flavorful, and with a great mix of texture. I've had dreams of that shrimp--tons of garlic and enough sauce to keep eating with the coconut rice even long after we devoured the shrimp. The only skip was the eggplant which could have been crispier, but still had great flavor. We grabbed some egg tarts to go for dessert. We ordered takeout tonight and WOW. Was not expecting that. We got the shrimp and garlic dumplings, char siu pork, pork noodles and the Lu special. All were outstanding. The portions were smaller than your average neighborhood takeout place but it was the perfect amount for three adults. It's pricier than your average takeout as well, but the quality and flavor is on a completely different level. We picked up our food, but inside had a really cute hipster vibe. Recently moved to the neighborhood. I read about the re-opening/transformation of Fat Rice to Noodlebird and hope that the owners are treating their new employees great. Every item we ordered was well-prepared, of chef quality and tasty. Chicken was moist and tender, pork noodles had great flavor and they were not too salty, cabbage side salad had a tangy dressing and the pork dumplings were light and tender, not rock hard like most places.
