I ordered takeout online and it was very easy to order and quick to pick up. Sadly wasn't too impressed by the taste. Everything was well packaged and they kept the broth separate from my wonton soup to keep the noodles from getting mushy. I feel like everything would taste a lot better with salt. Spicy tripe was pretty hot and lots of garlic but those were the only flavor profiles. Wonton from soup and fried wontons had chunks of shrimp but were not seasoned so tasted pretty bland. it's a super cute family owned restaurant! it was our first time trying out the place and it was nice to have hot soup served up on an especially cold and gloomy day. the inside of the place is very roomy with high ceilings so it felt quite homey. the menu offered a wide variety of noodle types and a very extensive list of soup and rice dish options. I ended up getting the classic combination with the wide egg noodle i think (they do have Ho Fun/flat rice noodle as an option, but they ran out for the day). the portions are large and they gave us some of their homemade chili oil to try, which is pretty decent. I ended up buying a $10 jar for myself and my partner got a 6 pack of these little moon cake(?) desserts? i think it was buy 2, get 2 free? everything is very reasonably priced. will come again! read more

I've walked by this spot a few times and finally decided to come try it with my sister. The food was pretty good, I ordered the Hong Kong Style Wonton noodle soup and my sister got the beef Entrail with wonton noodle soup. We also ordered the fried chicken wings. The noodle soups were good, loved that the soup was nice and hot even after we finished eating. The broth was nice and clear, not super salty and I wasn't thirsty afterwards. The wontons were nice and big, wrapper still intact. The chicken wings weren't bag but I guess we were more so craving for the good ol' salt and pepper wings. The chicken wings were really big pieces as well, I personally would've preferred something a little smaller but the taste was still really good. Very well seasoned! I thought the menu seemed a little random, kinda felt a little all over the place with the noodles & the fried stuff. The service was nice and welcoming. Ok so I was looking for a place that was open later than 9pm and after hospital visiting hours ended. My Goldilocks family was hungry, one wanted fries, one wanted wonton noodle soup, I wanted everyone to shut up and a place that had parking. Noodle Stop came up so we decided to drive by and see if there was parking. There was a spot as soon as we drove up around 8:30pm. Very friendly staff greeted us immediately and took our orders. They were very nice, not the kind of staff that's all put out and annoyed to even take your order. We ordered the beef brisket wonton noodle soup, beef brisket with rice rolls in clay pot, green onion pancake, plain porridge with Chinese donut, crispy chicken and fries, and got a sweetheart cookie and pineapple pastry for dessert. Sorry no picture of the pastries because we gobbled it down! The server who brought our food was also super friendly! The beef brisket wonton noodle soup satisfied the picky hubby, just enough flavor from the broth without being overly salty. The beef brisket with rice rolls OMG! SO YUM! My new fave! The flavors were delish and the FRESH rice rolls were soft, springy, and just chewy enough! The crispy chicken and fries were good-the small Goldilocks liked it and so did I! The chicken was cut into small strips with light breading. I can't tell you how many times I've been to other places w those huge chonky chicken tenders and too much breading! Their shoe string fries were delish as well! Green onion pancake was good and the porridge and Chinese donut were yummy staples for the small Goldilocks as well! I was very full, but I HAD to try the pineapple egg pastry. OMG, that thing was so flaky, dense, and heavy like a baseball! So delish, I wish I had bought a box to go! Well that just means I'll have to come back to visit this place soon! The owner's young son was so sweet-he brought this little light up toy and a piece of candy over to our table and gave it to my daughter! I'm not sure if they give it to all kids, but I noticed several kids had light up toys as well. Maybe it was a special occasion for them or maybe they were being nice on a Sat night, whatever it was, it was a super nice thing to do! The place is clean and does not smell like dirty dish rags. I ordered C2 - stewed beef brisket lo mein. The order taker asked if thick vermicelli noodle ok? I said fine. Once our orders were placed our food came quickly. Very generous portions. The beef brisket was very tender and flavorful. I didn't care for the fat noodles. The fat noodles didn't absorb the broth. They were like fat slippery worms. Should have gone with the traditional egg noodles. Hubby enjoyed his pigs feet. Each one of his wontons contained a shrimp. He ordered the egg noodles. Make sure you eat your dish with their house made chili oil. Lots of fire. Noodle Stop replaced Won Ton House but the kitchen is the same people as told to us by one of the order takers. Their noodles don't have that ammonia smell like some other wonton noodle shops! Ammonia smell comes from the use of alkaline water (kansui) in the noodle making progress, therefore these restaurants must change their water frequently when boiling the noodles. The wontons are decent, and the noodles have a nice crunch to them. Their fried fish skin is especially good--crispy and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the hot sauce, which adds a great kick. My first review of 2022 goes to you Noodle Stop! I am so excited that a wonton shop is coming back to this block! I don't even live around here but for those of us who are familiar with this area, you know that a wonton shop is like the staple of this neighborhood. My co-worker and I stopped by the Noodle Stop today for lunch and it was packed. It was their first day of operation too. We got one of the last tables and reviewed their soft opening menu. I was glad to see some appetizers, such as Crispy wontons, crispy shrimp, Calamari, french fries, garlic fries, beef cold plate, cucumber salad, and stewed beef brisket. For noodles they have the infamous Hong Kong Style wonton Noodle soup, or just wonton soup, noodle soup, stewed beef noodle soup with or without wonton as well as chicken curry vermicelli noodle soup. For the noodle soups, you have the option of the thin egg noodles, flat rice noodles (ho fun), and Vermicelli Noodle. I normally have to get the main dish to compare it to other places so that's what we did. I got the thin egg noodles with my wontons and it had a perfect bounce to it. Traditional egg noodles normally have that bounce in wonton soup and I'm glad this place was able to achieve that because some other places overcook the noodles, making it too soggy. I even waited until after my photoshoot to eat the noodles, and the bounce was still there. Yay! Let's get to the Wontons! Wow, they were huge! The meat was juicy and they were packed with shrimp. The skin of wonton had a thickness to it, so if you like it thick, you cannot go wrong with this dish. I love how they included their house special spicy chili oil. This added a garlicy kick to the wontons! However, even without the chili oil the soup gave this dish the home feeling. You can taste how much time they spent making their soup base. I love fish soup, and of course this soup isn't easy to make, so you can tell this is worth it What makes this place great is that the owners came to talk to us. Marcie and Remy came to ask what our experience as like and how they can improve. We even got the sample the Beef Brisket and talk about Melt-in-your mouth! This immediately melted in my mouth! I highly recommend ordering this next time because it was so tender and succulent. Honestly, I think they are doing great already, my taste buds are just being picky by saying i wish the soup had a stronger shrimp taste, cause i like it sweeter. Another thing I like about this place is that they have drinks as well, like milk tea and lemon tea as well as lemonade. I wish they had the red bean drink cause that will totally gives me my vibes I'm miss in Hong Kong. If you're from the area you know this used to be Wonton House. A neighborhood favorite. I love all noodles and while I was sad that Wonton House is gone, I was excited to try this new place. I ordered takeout on Saturday, got a few orders: B1 with egg noodles and (3) B5 with vermicelli and flat rice noodles. They did an excellent job at packaging the to-go btw, no spilled broth or anything. My family and I were disappointed in the lack of flavors in both the fish based broth and wontons. The broth was fragrant and smelled really good, but when you tried it, it didn't deliver on taste. It was kind of bland and flat, which was surprising because it smelled delicious. The wonton we also found different and interesting, the wrapper is on the thicker side and the filling was mostly meat but didn't see any shrimp, it also had what we believe to be taro. The meat was also more of a pasty texture. While the broth and wonton came up short for us, their noodles (yes, all 3) was great. Not sure if they make their own egg noodles, but it was pretty consistent with authentic wonton noodles. I'm more of a rice noodle person and their flat rice noodle was great. B5 comes with brisket and it was delicious, very tender and full of flavor. I hope their broth and wonton gets better, I'll come back for a second try. read more

Customer service called them but the restaurant claimed it was a normal portion, but when the wontons were added to the broth the soup barely filled 75% of the 24oz container. Loved the dish I got here, which was the beef brisket with rice roll cooked in the clay pot. They have a version of the dish that comes without the clay pot, but for $1 more, I think the clay pot version is worth it. The rice rolls were so tender and soaked up all the flavor of the rich, hearty beef broth. The brisket was also very tender and juicy. I only wish that there was more protein that came with the dish. Decided to try this place since it seemed they've expanded their offering. Used to come by often when it was Won Ton House - a no frills restaurant that was well priced and okay food. Now the prices are much higher, but still just okay-ish food. We ordered the beef porridge, the HK style Won Ton Noodles and the Curry Chicken Vermicelli. Service was average, so let's get to the food: Beef Porridge: The texture of the porridge was good, the flavor decidedly peppery and the beef is sliced for what you'd expect in a Beef and Broccoli dish. It was one dimensional - peppery. Meh. The Chinese Donut ordered was a half piece and came hot. HK Style Won Ton Noodle: Was on par with the much lower price bowl I had when it was Won Ton House. The higher cost made it less acceptable. Curry Chicken Vermicelli: It was spicy. Even a bit too spicy for me, but the real issue for me was that the chicken was just one drumstick. Not only is it the cheapest part of the chicken, it was also just one piece. For what this dish cost, I do not expect to deal with gnawing on a bone and getting fingers messy with the curry slurry. Just, no. With three sampled dishes, I've given this place a solid shot. None of it was worthy for a revisit. There are better restaurants in the area, sorry. read more
